The air mattress was one of those big fancy ones and was honestly incredibly comfortable (I slept on it for 4 nights and really had no issue). The room was small, but fit the queen bed with the queen air mattress totally fine. Everything was really clean, the AC worked great, and the small fridge was awesome for our drinks. It was a good central location. It took us about 15 minutes to get to the airport, 10 minutes to Costco or Walmart, 10 minutes to some beaches, 30 minutes to Kihei and about 40 to Lahaina. Uncle Tony was always in the office and would get us extra blankets, towels, soap and even gave us a first aid kit to use when I cut my foot. He was incredibly kind, as was all the staff. They have a big shelf where you can leave or take any beach supplies. We would grab beach towels, pool noodles and chairs every day (they have snorkeling gear, pool toys, boogie boards etc). When we left, we left our snorkeling gear and extra sun screen. It was really cool to be able to use anything we needed and then to leave the stuff that we couldn’t take home with us. Great place-would definitely recommend!"

- "The unit is as advertised, with no exceptions, so no need to repeat that. Very nice. No problems. Host Joanne was great. This might be the nicest unit in the complex, being corner and ground floor, and the complex is also really nice. Great views, with one small caveat: there’s a hedge on the right side of the property that obstructs some of the view to the west. The sun rises directly over Haleakala crater in the morning, as viewed from the condo patio. Saw hundreds, maybe thousands of whales from the unit’s patio in Jan 2024: amazing! Went on a whale watch with Trilogy and saw so many whales!!! The beach is right across the lawn; it’s small, but there were as many as 10 turtles on the beach every day or evening. The location is very convenient: 15-30min drive to just about everything, and the harbor where boat trips leave is just a few blocks away. You’ll get a couple of cryptic emails from Betterstay LLC; we were suspicious of these at first, but it’s the management company; they ask you to install an app called DACK, which we saw of no value, so no need to install it. There are 2 nice beach chairs, 3 sets of decent snorkel equipment and an umbrella (it was too windy for the umbrella and snorkeling anywhere, in Jan 2024). Great experience!"

This is the top floor corner apartment in Iao Gardens with panoramic views of Iao Valley, Iao Stream and the ocean in the distance. Vaulted ceilings throughout and many windows in all directions thanks to which it never really gets hot in here.

The space
There is a newer washer and steam dryer (from 2019). The kitchen has been remodeled in 2019 as well, with solid bamboo cabinets and quartz counter tops. New appliances added in 2023: stainless steel fridge with the ice maker and filtered water, electric range stove with air fry function and strong range hood. Bathrooms freshly remodeled with bamboo cabinets and quartz counter tops matching the kitchen. New 70" smart flat screen TV in the living room and smaller flat screen in the master bedroom. Walking distance to the Court, Maui Medical Group, restaurants, coffee shops, stores, and administration buildings. A couple of minutes drive from the Maui Memorial Medical Center (1.7 miles, also a pleasant bike ride), Kaiser Permanente Maui Lani (1.2 miles), supermarkets (Safeway 1.2mi, Foodland 1.3mi) and shopping mall (Queen Ka'ahumanu Center 2.1 mi).

There is one carport attached to the apartment. All other cars must park on the street which has normally plenty of space.

There is a BBQ and a small pool in the common area of the apartment complex which itself is a 3 story building accessible by an elevator.

All furniture and appliances pictured are included. Also included is a smart assistant speaker and a Shark vacuum.
The master bedroom has a walk through closet with two shelves with rods underneath to hang the clothes, and a 4 drawer dresser.
The smaller bedroom has a big dresser and a regular closet with doors. There is also a loft which is not part of the rent (it is used as owner's storage).
The kitchen is fully stocked, including slow/rice cookers of various sizes, new drip coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster oven, microwave, and a blender. There is also a double sink with garbage disposal and very nice selection of pots and pans if you enjoy cooking.

The washing machine and dryer are inside the apartment as well. This is a newer, top of the line, LG set (connects with your smart phone, dryer has a steaming function).

Please note that there are roosters in Wailuku and you will hear them in the early morning, every morning. You might also hear other birds and dogs barking.
