Our Hawaiian Style Vacation Rental apartment is "Legally Operated" and sits on Kailua Beach, one of Hawaii's most beautiful white sand beaches, and rated among one of the USA's best.
The apartment is in the BACK portion of a beachfront home with it's own private entrance. This spacious room has no view of ocean, but is just steps away from the ocean shore line and large front lawn where you can relax to soak in the panoramic view of the bay. There is convenient FREE parking on driveway just outside the rental unit. The bedroom has one king-size bed and two over head ceiling fans, an 2 table fans for extra ventilation an comfort..There is a connecting private bathroom and shower supplied with bath towels sets an beach towels. The sitting room includes a couch and lounge chair with leg rest. There are 4 floor to ceiling louver windows for cool breeze flow an additional ventilation. There is NO AC.
The unit also has a large study desk / table, TV with cable, and unit is computer “WIFI” wireless ready. The kitchenette provides a microwave, large sink, Kreuig coffeemaker with 4 complimentary k-coffee cups to start tenants off, Malita coffee drip cup w/ filters, electric hot water decanter, refrigerator with freezer, toaster, dishes & drinking cups/glasses, and utensils. - "Absolutely amazing!!! As a former resident of Hawaii, my wife and I get back to paradise at least once per year. We are not really into to crowds, noise and congestion of Waikiki. We like to be based in calm with access to the ability to exit "chaos". The Tree House in Kailua is absolutely perfect in every way. The accommodations were clean, location was literally a 1 minute walk to 2 miles of the most beautiful beach in the world and located close enough to whatever. The Tree House had all that we needed! Full sized fridge, wonderful patio, well kept grounds and the perfect space. One thing to note: there is no air conditioning in the unit but there were two fans and a constant tropical breeze that took care of that. We will make this our go to location for trips to come. The building is set back just a bit from the main drag on a private lane, and felt very secure. We loved the fact that there was on-site parking (not always the case in this area), bikes and beach gear were provided, and the property is literally across the street from Kailua Beach Park, plus a short walk from restaurants, shops, and so on. There is a pool and hot tub, but we didn’t end up using them during our stay. The yard is nicely landscaped, and we enjoyed listening to birds each morning. Hosts provided lots of suggestions for places to eat, and included some restaurant menus in the information binder. The unit is equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee machine, toaster and blender - not a place to do serious cooking, but good for breakfast and heating leftovers, which was what we had in mind anyways. Located in Kailua Town on the windward side of Oahu, just a short walk to famous Kailua and Lanikai beaches. On the way to the beach stop by Kailua Beach Center for beach rentals such as kayaks, surfboards, Segways, kite boards and windsurfers. Pick up a plate lunch, slice of pizza or a shave ice there too. Go for a morning walk on the beach with a specialty coffee from Kailua's own Kalapawai market and deli. And don't miss Buzz's Steakhouse for lunch or dinner just around the corner.

The Hawaii Sheffield House Ginger Studio has a 'Secret Garden. The night lighting is enchanting. We are Located at 131 Kuulei Road in Kailua . It has a private entrance and is on the ground floor with windows opening to a tropical bank of Areca palms. The Ginger Studio has a private entrance and a private bath that has a huge walk-in shower . A breakfast bar with toaster oven and coffeemaker and under counter refrigerator is provided in the room. Check the calendar for last minute vacations or specials.
Just outside the door in the garden, is a bubbling fountain in a Chinese steamer pot. There is a comfortable queen size bed. The beach is calling and there are activities galore, a perfect Hawaii vacation. Take a beach chair and a boogie board located by the entry door and walk to Kailua Beach and enjoy some beach time.
There is an Olympic size community swimming pool and tennis courts 13 houses up the street toward Kailua Town. In the other direction is our beach access to Kailua Bay . Hike the Lanikai pillboxes, Visit our wetland, Kawainui marsh. Kailua Beach by Sheffield House is a perfect boogie board spot. Watch the kite surfers or join in. Plan an early morning walk to watch the sunrise.
The Ginger Studio and the Garden Suite 30018 can be combined to make a two bedroom two bath unit and sleep a party of five.
The Ginger Studio has a queen-sized bed with Hawaiian applique quilts and a newly remodeled private bath with a Breccia marble counter top. It has a large shower -big enough for two (no tub). It is equipped with a breakfast bar or kitchenette (No kitchen sink) with a microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and under counter refrigerator and a table for two.
While it is air conditioned, ceiling fans are usually all that is needed. Evenings on the beach you will need a light sweater or jacket all year round. The Ginger Studio has an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, cable TV and wifi. There is an indoor rattan table for two as well as an outdoor table for two/three. Towels, beach towels, and paper towels are provided. At this time we are not accepting reservations which include children under the age of three in this room. .
We only accept reservations with small children when this unit is rented together with VRBO 30018. It is possible to sleep a party of 5 with adjoining VRBO 30018
Yes, we are in the tropics so you may see geckos, anoles, chameleons and flying insects. Yes, we do use pesticides.
Note that there are two coin operated laundromats within 1/3 of a mile away.
Hawaii Sheffield House is a non smoking property. The Ginger Studio is a self contained vacation rental with everything there that you might need. There is one free parking space in the driveway of Hawaii Sheffield House just steps from the entrance the Ginger Studio.
(Note: You do not have to circle the block or parking garage looking for parking.)
Sadly, at this time our street can be busier than normal. It is from time to time being used as a detour for the construction at the roundabout at the entry of Lanikai. Hopefully, by the time you read this the detour will be removed.

This one bedroom apartment sleeps 2 people. It has a King bed in the bedroom with a wall mounted flat screen TV, split AC, glass sliding doors that open to the large covered lanai and grassy back yard. There is also a living area with couch and coffee table, kitchenette with 3/4 size refrigerator and hot plate for light cooking. A microwave, coffee maker, toaster, tea kettle, and all cooking and eating dishes and utensils make the kitchen great for light cooking. The bathroom has a walk in tiled shower, and all beach and bath towels are provided. The apartment has cool ceramic tile and is decorated with crisp, clean white decor and large original prints of local scenic spots.
The apartment has its own parking, private entrance, and the large covered lanai backs onto a grassy yard.
With beautiful Kailua Beach 700 yards away, you can easily walk there in approximately 5 minutes. We provide boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, an umbrella and a cooler for fun at the beach, and we have an outdoor shower to rinse off extra salt and sand when you get home.
If you want to explore the island, this is a very convenient, central location to do it from. Waikiki, Ala Moana shopping center, Pearl Harbor, the swap meet, and Honolulu are all about 25 minutes away to the South. The North Shore is about 45 minutes away, and Ko Olina and the West side are also about 45 minutes away. Or, if you want to check out the beaches closer to home on the East side, they're all just a short drive. Lanikai Beach is less than 10 minutes away, Waimanalo Beach is about 15-20 minutes away, and of course, Kailua Beach is just a few minutes walk.
Situated down a long drive on a quiet side street, the house is private and peaceful. Landscaped with lush tropical plants and flowers, and a huge grassy lawn, this is a place you can truly relax and unwind, and really experience the laid back local lifestyle.

Beach walk, swim, kayak, wind-surf, kite board, body surf, snorkel, hike, walk/jog the Lanikai loop - there is an abundance of fun activities here...or, completely relax and chill out which is very easy in this quiet & secluded bungalow on the 1st level of a 2-story home.
The Enchanting Bungalow is decorated with upscale furnishings, original art and collectables from around the world. We stayed a month here in Kailua, enjoyed the beach daily (a mere 100 feet or so away), walked to town for groceries, road the local bus to Honolulu, North Shore, Diamond Head and beyond. The property was well stocked, quiet and comfortable. The private garden was beautiful and bird watching at the fountain was a daily enjoyment. The Tropical Breeze studio boasts garden views, tropical tradewinds and the soothing sounds of the ocean waves. Come and enjoy the aloha spirit and warm sunshine.
The studio has high ceilings with a tropical-designed decor, a large queen size bed, a sitting area, a kitchenette, and a large airy bathroom. This is truly island living at its finest. Your own private entrance, parking and large yard, which is great for a picnic or barbecue. This studio is air-conditioned with the newest eco-friendly unit, plus solar heated water for the extra large walk-in shower. As an added bonus, our studio offers island espresso, beach chairs, beach towels as well as an outside barbecuer. Pool hours are 9:00-3:pm & 5:30-6:30pm.
The studio is located on a private lane with a private gate to access Kailua beach. The walk from the studio to the beach is very short. You truly cannot get any closer to the beach. Unless, of course, you were looking at beach-front properties ;)

Kailua is a beautiful beach town! With fabulous dining, shopping and activity choices - one never gets bored here. Kailua and Lanikai beach are huge highlights of our town, but there are also amazing eating and unique shopping experiences as well.
The Beach
A long, graceful bay protected by a coral reef is Kailua’s delight. The nearly 4-mile-long stretch of ivory sand is made for strolling, and the weather and wave conditions can be just about perfect for swimming, kayaking, windsurfing and kitesurfing. South along the shore lies the exclusive enclave of Lanikai, with million-dollar views – and mansions to match.
We would recommend a car, however Oahu is known for its amazing bus system with stops that can take you all over the island. Bus stop is just a few hundred feet away.
We ask that you do not smoke inside and please be courteous of noise after 10 PM.

The place was adorable, very homey feel, a lot of useful amenities (washer/dryer, stove top, toaster, fridge, on site parking, beach chairs, roomy closet, etc). It’s in the perfect location to give you the local feel. Walking distance from Kailua beach, short drive to Lanakai beach, walking distance to the shops/ restaurants in town. Overall it’s a central location for Oahu because you can easily drive down to Honolulu or up to the north shore for a variety of hikes and beaches. The street was quaint, and had a beautiful mountain view, and a little park. I would 10/10 come stay here again or recommend anyone else to stay here. Absolutely loved my time at the Turtle cottage and never wanted to leave."

Classic Hawaiian architecture on a beautifully landscaped property. You have free on-site parking and easy access to our outdoor shower. Our spacious 1-bedroom unit is a permitted short term rental which means you can stay for a few nights or as many nights as you would like. Our accommodation has all the modern day comfort features such as air conditioner, walk-in closet, hair dryer, iron and board, washer/dryer, fully equipped full-size kitchen with Keurig coffee, toaster, stove, microwave, and all the essentials to cook and eat your meal. Super comfortable memory foam king size bed, indoor and outdoor dining area and if you need to bring your work, we have a coffee table lift desk with super fast WiFi and CAT 5 network cable. We have a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. Super comfortable, extremely clean and modern with everything you need for a wonderful stay. You have free use of our beach cruiser bicycles, beach towels, beach tote, coolers. We worked hard to think of all the details so you have a super comfortable and wonderful stay.
We are centrally located in the heart of Kailua. Kailua is best known for having the best beach in the world as well as a charming Kailua town. We are walking distance to Kailua Beach, Kailua Town, boutique shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, breweries. Kailua is a bike friendly town. Many major attractions are within 45-minute drive.

Large Studio with roomy bathroom beside a quiet home. Enjoy your coffee on your own patio near the pool overlooking the canal where you can kayak or paddle board to beach. Quiet and clean. We supple you with a start of necessities. Walk to market and excellent restaurants all nearby. This town has many Farmers/Craft markets weekly. You will love everything we have to offer. Hopefully you will stay 90 days or so❤️😜 ... Stays for 90 night or more is for $100per night.. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING ALLOWED AND NO PETS ALLOWED...

- "We had a lovely month in Lanikai, staying at Noni’s artistically furnished garden suite. We could watch the sun rise from our bed , walk to either Lanikai or Kailua Beach (hence avoiding the traffic and parking challenges particularly in Lanikai ), and enjoy being in a peaceful residential neighbourhood with friendly neighbours .. We were concerned the kitchenette might be a challenge for a month’s stay , at a time of covid when we preferred not to frequent restaurants but found even in the small space , we could still , with some planning , prepare three course meals. Noni was very generous , adding a rice cooker and toaster oven to our kitchen . Noni is a wonderful host , very welcoming yet respectful of our privacy , and plays a wicked game of scrabble too The location on top of a hill has an outstanding view, and although you do share the deck space (and washer and dryer), really not a problem .
