Our Hawaiian Style Vacation Rental apartment is "Legally operated", and sits on Kailua Beach, one of Hawaii's most beautiful of white sand beaches, and rated among one of the USA's best.
The apartment is located in the front portion of a beachfront home with a beautiful view of Kailua bay. It has it's own private entrance and has convenient FREE parking on driveway just down sidewalk from the rental unit. The bedroom has one queen-size bed and over head ceiling fan for extra ventilation and comfort. There is a connecting private bathroom and shower supplied with bath towels sets an beach towels.The unit also has a dining table, TV with cable, and unit is computer “WIFI” wireless ready.
There is AC is available for cool air as preferred. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a microwave, large sink, Kreuig coffeemaker with 4 complimentary K- coffee cups to start tenants off, electric hot water kettle, refrigerator with freezer, toaster, dishes, and utensils. There is microwave cooking only . Tenants are responsible for their own food an beverages and all personal soap an toiletries.
Rental has direct side walk private access to front lawn sitting area where tenants can relax an enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Kailua Bay and Mokulua Twin Islands, with steps just at the yards corner to beach. The front lawn is shared with tenants of second rental on premise. For extra privacy during day, the unit window has been tinted at 82% view protection from outside, an inside there's partial view a full coverage shades for further privacy. Lounge & beach chairs are included for use at rental beach premise only. There are out side hose's and faucets for rinsing off sand after going to beach and swimming. There are convenient clothes lines right outside rental door for drying suits, towels, an clothes. No W/D.

We are ideally located in Kailua. Across the street you will find Starbucks, Safeway, eateries and a gas station. The beach is just a short walk away, and Nicos restaurant is a great place to eat and listen to live music.

This charming 700 sq ft private guest suite is connected to a main house that has its own separate side entrance and wing. The owner and family occupy the main house and will respect your privacy. They are kupuna and their grandchildren visit them on the property daily. When family is not staying with them, they are hosting the guest suite for family-oriented and respectful guests to enjoy a slice of paradise in their Kailua hale on Oahu. Only guests who are pono and who are interested in soaking up aloha and the beauty of the islands while making special memories.
The private suite is like a 1 bedroom apartment suitable for three guests (max). It has a separate side entrance that leads into your own laundry space, full sized kitchen, and a living room. You'll have sole access to use all the items in the unit during your stay.
The guest suite is divided between a sitting room with a couch that turns into a full size bed. The main bedroom has a king-size bed. The unit is equipped with a tv, WiFi, full sized refrigerator, coffee maker, sink, microwave, and stove (pots, pans, dishware provided) and there is also a 2 chair dining table. Koolau Loft is our guesthouse with beautiful mountain views located in the heart of Kailua. The home has its own private entrance and is located up one flight of stairs. There is one parking spot reserved for our guests and more parking located on the street. The home is about a 15 minute walk to Kalama's beach park and a 5 minute walk to the center of Kailua Town, where there is a WholeFoods, Target, and multiple bars and restaurants.
Other things to note
Always turn outdoor lights off when not in use, such as the staircase light or the laundry room light. Also, please note that consumables such as toilet paper and soap are the guest’s responsibility. We will try to set you up with a little bit for arrival, but you’re on your own after that!

Other things to note
We live on the property with two young children and two very friendly family dogs, so expect to hear some regular children activities and noise when the kids are not in school/camp. Please do not book if you are extremely noise sensitive or do not like/are afraid of dogs. Quiet hours in our household are from 9 pm to 7 am. Having said that, this is a converted detached garage so main house noise is generally low. The neighborhood is incredibly quiet at night and you can hear the sound of waves and the palm trees if you keep the windows open.
A starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels, soap and detergent are provided for your convenience. Please replenish as needed for the remainder of your stay. There are numerous grocery and convenience stores including a Target store within a 5 minute drive.

We are close to bus lines, but encourage guests to rent a car to get out and explore the beautiful island of O'ahu. 30 minute drive to Honolulu and an easy drive to all that O'ahu has to offer.
The Kailua District Park pool (free) is a 10-minute walk, as is Kailua Sailboards and Kayaks for tours and rentals. A mile from Pill Box hike. Several yoga studios less than a mile away. Snorkeling and swimming a 8-10 minute walk away.
