The Eucalyptus Cabin sleeps 2 at Jug Handle Creek Farm which is a great place for a quiet retreat with easy access to the beach. The cabin has a queen bed and an electric wall heater. This is a glamping experience! **NOTE: There is no longer a loft or wood stove in this cabin, we are trying to update the listing on Air Bnb. The space
Our 32 acre property is available for strolls and your cabin is a short walk to the ocean and miles of trails in Jug Handle Preserve.

Guest access
There is dedicated parking for your cabin located about 20 feet from the cabin. Feel free to visit our orchard, trail to the beach and generally enjoy our 32 acres. Please don't try to use amenities in the Farmhouse.

The Orchard Cabin sleep up to 4 people. Jug Handle Creek Farm is a great place for a quiet retreat with easy beach access. This is glamping at its finest! The cabin has a full size bed on the first floor and a full mattress in the loft. A nice deck overlooks our beautiful orchard. This cabin is the most secluded on our property and ahas access to a shared kitchen and bathroom.

The space
The Orchard Cabin sleep up to 4 people. Jug Handle Creek Farm is a great place for a quiet retreat with easy beach access. This is glamping at its finest! The cabin has a queen bed on the first floor and a queen bed in the loft. A nice deck overlooks the orchard.  You have your own outdoor picnic table and fire ring.  You have access to a shared kitchen and bathroom in an adjoining building. The kitchen has an electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender and all pots and pans and cooking equipment.  It has a small eat in kitchen.  The shared bathroom includes an ADA shower, toilet, sink.  Linens and towels are provided.  Firewood is provided.  Your cabin is a short walk to the ocean and miles of trails in Jug Handle Preserve.

Other things to note
The house is on a well, and the water does not taste like city tap water. Babies may be picky about the flavor. No shoes or smoking indoors, and no parties or loud music, please. Cell signal is weak or nonexistent for most carriers, but wifi calling is available. We have a television & streaming. This is a rural area, please be aware of bugs when hiking (ticks, fleas etc.), and there may be more bugs around than you are used to. The west side of the property is open ocean, and all guests should display reasonable caution - waves can get very large. Children should never be left unattended. This listing is 1 of 6 buildings on the property, and there may be other guests sharing the property.

The studio is a sun-filled, very spacious private room with en suite bathroom, and South facing deck, located in a separate building behind the main house in a large flower & fruit tree filled yard. The yard is often shared with Felix our playful tuxedo cat and Blossom our McNab Shepherd.

We also rent "Osprey Aerie", the apartment upstairs, featuring a full kitchen, washing machine and dryer.

The space
Stay in a Fine Art Photographer’s modern studio, with south facing deck over looking a large fruit tree filled yard. The studio is a private unit with its own entrance.

The studio is a modern, light filled, very spacious room (750 sq ft), that occupies the lower level of a gambrel roof two story building (there is an independent apartment on the upper level). Located on a naturally landscaped property, with a main house and multiple outbuildings. On the deck two comfy Adirondack chairs overlook the large open garden.

The studio is often filled with sunlight and natural radiant heat from southern and western facing windows. A microwave, mini-refrigerator (no freezer), coffee-maker and electric kettle make simple meals possible.

Perfect for 2 guests with a California king-size bed, leather couch & comfortable chairs in the lounging area, as well as a table with 2 chairs for reading, writing, eating, etc. Daily dish washing is provided by your host.

Other features include hardwood bamboo flooring and natural wood trim on the many windows, as well as a walk in tiled shower and studio lighting to enhance the original traditionally made (darkroom) black & white photography by artists William Scott, Paul Kozal & Robert Taylor.

A coat rack and suitcase stand offer space for your personal belongings.

The studio is located 5 minute drive/20-minute walk/5-minute bike (bring your bikes!) from Main St. Fort Bragg where you’ll find shops, restaurants, and various cultural offerings, depending on the season.

Mendocino Coast beaches, including Glass Beach and the Coastal Headland Trail, as well as the extensive Botanical Gardens are a five to ten minute drive away. A leisurely coastal drive brings you to the heart of historic Mendocino Village and Big River Beach, 20 minutes away.

Enjoy beach walks, hiking, mountain biking, or kayaking, at most times of the year, or check in advance to find out which of the many festivals are happening before you visit (earth day, crab, mushroom, whale, film and music festivals, local history days, Paul Bunyan days, etc). Wind your way along the headlands, where you’ll look onto the dramatic glory of the Pacific Ocean.

For longer excursions, hike or bike in MacKerricher State Park, Jackson Demonstration State Forest, Van Damme State Park, Big River Estuary, Mendocino Headlands State Park, Russian Gulch State Park, Jughandle State Reserve Ecological Staircase, or the Pygmy Forests and check out the many places Mendocino Land Trust manages for public access.

We're a 4 hour drive from San Francisco or Oakland airports (without traffic), and 2.5 hours from Santa Rosa. Please let us know in advance if you have any special needs or requests to make your stay enjoyable.

Check-in is 4pm, check-out is 11 am. Let me know if you need a later departure or earlier arrival, and if we can, we will accommodate you.

Three miles inland from the beach and the town of Fort Bragg, The Nest is on our two acre property in the sunbelt and features our very own redwood grove for forest-bathing as well as tons of peacefulness and good vibes. Yes, you do see a claw-foot tub in the bedroom and a lot of stairs :)

The space
This is basically a tree-top tiny house. It is perfect for two people - so much groovier than a hotel room! The kitchen is well equipped and the living room couch and queen bed are both super cozy. There isn't much space inside to hide from one another except for in the bathroom. The property, however, is vast and there are several deck areas for you to enjoy as well as a private grove of redwoods for forest-bathing.

The apartment, "outdoor office/breakfast nook" and deck are all yours! There is another rental on the property called the "Sunny Redwood Cabin - Quintessential Mendocino!". If folks are renting this space, you might meet them in the redwood grove or pass them in the driveway.

In between guests, we thoroughly sanitize every surface including tv remote, light switches and anything anyone may touch. In addition, we wash and change out all bedding including blanket and comforter and pillow covers. All furniture is sanitized. We want to make sure everyone is safe and has a comfortable and very enjoyable time with us.

Please feel free to explore the property. We have an ocean view that provides beautiful sunsets. But the view is not from the cottage, so please look around. We also have wildlife come on the property. Lots of deer, Great Herons, occasional foxes - Red & Gray. Lots of Birds.
It's always fun to watch the does with the fawns. They tend to spend more time on the property when the fawns are small.

Other things to note
We are on a well and septic tank, so water conservation is greatly appreciated. Also, septic tanks don’t take kindly to flushing of foreign objects especially baby wipes even if they say flushable. They're NOT.

We also ask that guests leave the sand outside.

We don’t allow pets as we have allergies that may trigger asthma attacks and possible hospitalization.

Cottage at the Sunshine Inn. The cottage is 1 Bedroom/1 Bath situated downtown. You can walk to everything. Skunk Train, (that takes you to the Secret Bar in the Redwoods) Glass Beach, Coastal Trail, the Breweries, Restaurants all within 1 or a few blocks of the Cottage and Inn. Equipped with fast WiFi and WiFi TV. The cottage is brand new and comfortable and cute.

The space
The cottage is behind the Sunshine Inn separated by a parking lot. The cottage has its own private entrance and shares only the parking lot with the inn.

Our pets Blossom, a McNab shepherd, and Felix, a tuxedo cat, are interactive parts of our yard. Blossom loves to have the frisbee thrown for her, but of course is not obligatory! Felix is also very sociable.

The Captains Quarters is MedVets Non-Profit Lodging Experience. Every Aspect of this property lends itself to our Mission. Simply said. " The Betterment of Nature and our Community". Built in 1912 and constructed from Old Growth Redwood our 3 Story 9 bedroom Rustic Inn reminds us of a Generation of Redwood Loggers and the Craftsmanship and Beauty they created.
True to design every room is uniquely its own space and 6 of our rooms are named after Heritage Cannabis and Agricultural Communities. 3 of our rooms are named after the 3 Counties that make up the World Famous "Emerald Triangle" and the back to land regenerative way of Life. We call our living soil project our "Victory Garden" and is featured across our properties Landscape. Here we are developing Educational Courses, Retreats and Programs for our Local Youth, Veterans and Guests. The South West corner of our property houses our "Apiary" fondly known as our "Bee Havin" this project provides so many valuable aspects to our regenerative property, not only through pollination and delicious honey but also as a Mental Wellness tool.
Our International Partnership with Beekeeping for Veterans allows us to provide our Youth and Veterans with free Mindfulness Courses alongside Beekeeping Education and Live Hands On Experiences.
