We did however find that we could not adjust the thermostat and I've never encountered that before. It was fine the first 5 days, but on our last day it was unseasonably warm outside (had been cold the entire time before this). Due to the warmth outside, the inside of the property left us sweating and extremely uncomfortable as the thermostat was left on heat and we could not change it as it was locked. Thankfully it was our last night and the previous days were so cold that it never became uncomfortable. Also, the upstairs occupants did not sleep at night the entire time we were there so we heard stomping at all hours. We ended up purchasing a fan to sleep with to help drown out the noise. Other than those two small issues, the property was perfect and had everything you could think of. Will stay here again if I find myself in the area."

Hammond Heights is a quiet residential area. This is however a city apartment on a busy street. There is potential for road noise.

The fireplace in the main bedroom is non functional and not for use by guests.

The house has 6 rented bedrooms. Most of my guests are young professionals here for internships, medical residencies, or short-term jobs (usually for 2 or 3 months). The neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet.

PLEASE NOTE: This Howse is old, but it has been renovated and sometimes you can hear the noise from other rooms' stairs and squeaky floors

The space
It's got hardwoods throughout the entrance and stairs, the room has carpet.

This room faces back, and it's quiet. It has an AC unit in the window and hot water heat. I gently ask that you turn the AC OFF when you leave the house for the day.

Each room has its own lock/key set.

Guest access
This room is on the second floor. 1 more guest has access to the shared bathroom. We don't have a kitchen, but on the first floor, we have a microwave to warm up the food.

PLEASE NOTE: there is no sink to wash dishes, we provide plastic plates and cups.
I have separate food storage areas for each guest, and there is 1 refrigerator on the first floor.
We recycle.

There is shampoo and conditioner if you forgot yours.

During your stay
Most of our guest are young professionals and students that visit the Clark University Area, Make sure NOT to interrupt their studies.

Other things to note
This house has 6 rented bedrooms, and most of my guests are in the city to work. Worcester isn’t exactly a vacation destination. I have a lot of travel nurses who stay here, as well as medical students in the city, for rotations.

If you feel comfortable enough to be in a shared living situation, I’m happy to have you here.

As I’ve noted in other sections of my listing description, there are no TVs in the house. If you bring a TV with you, then bring headphones. It’s keeping the space quiet for everyone, not restricting your activities.

The neighborhood is nice and is close to Clark University but the city of Worcester is becoming loud. You might hear noise sometimes.

The neighborhood Is somewhat busy but overall but fairly peaceful, it is a busy urban setting so please feel free to reach out to us with any concerns. walking distance to a great local pizza join and the best tacos in worcester (The Taco Spot) as well as a short walk to a Walgreens. You will be just a brisk walk away from dozens of bars and restaurants in the popular Canal district.

Your private bedroom Has everything you need even with its smaller size , good sized desk complete with office supplies, extra blankets, heat, fans, Flat screen tv with amazon fire stick and Nintendo classic console. New twin bed with fresh sheets and towels, wardrobe and under bed storage.

You will be set up in a private room with a full size bed, Desk, Mini Fridge, and some storage and closet with everything you could need in it. The house is a beautiful 100+ year old victorian with 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room, storage rooms. My apartment provides the quintessential Worcester experience, as the "triple decker" style of the home--three apartments stacked on each other, is over a century old and is traditional in this area. We are Located right off of a main street in a busy college neighborhood so expect some noise especially on the weekends. We are located on the third floor.

Please Note that for summer I don’t have AC in the room, we do however have fans in the Rooms. This is to keep costs low so that I can give guests a great deal! (See the other details section for information about AC rentals)

Also please note that I don’t own the laundry machines and they do break from time to time and when that happens they can be down for up to a week

For getting around we are located close to the train statin and have a bus stop right outside the house.

Parking - we have 3 off street spots that are first come first serve as well as parking on a safe side street next to the house.

Please keep in mind we do have two dogs in the house, One is a little 5lb friendly 12 year old chihuahua and the other is a 7 year old Shiba Inu who's very friendly but high energy. Odds are you won't see them much during your stay unless you ask to.
