Cottage is fully self contained about 325 sq. ft. A loft with low ceiling full size bed , well stocked kitchen, bathroom shower only. Lots of storage space. Washer & dryer are just a few steps away in another building. The cottage has a cozy atmosphere with vaulted ceiling. Walking distance to grocery store, pharmacy, major banks, restaurants. Bart's a short walk with access to San Francisco, Hayward, Pleasanton, Dublin, Fremont, Berkeley, Concord, and Oakland. No smoking and no pets.

Convenient location that is close to downtown San Leandro shopping & restaurants'. Fast easy commute to San Francisco via BART. Beautiful Lake Chabot park is about 6 miles away with many walking & biking trails. Free entrance on Estudillo Ave. WIFI can be slow & interrupted as we are at the end of the line.

The carriage cottage is a freestanding building thus you can come & go as you please. The laundry room is connected to another cottage. Laundry detergent is provided $1 per load quarters, vacuum cleaner, mop & pail. Also a shopping cart & bags please return when not in use.
Other things to note
Parking located as you enter the driveway under trees with purple flowers in front of cottage has large double faux doors. Please no parking near building C where the wheelchair ramp is located. Area must be kept clear at all times unless given prior authorization.

Recently renovated in-law unit in the back garden of main home, with a private entrance and access to outside laundry room. Spacious garden so guests have privacy. I have chickens that are out in the daytime, 2 cats and one small dog. They do not go into the studio often and it is kept clean.
The space
There is a separate gate leading to the cottage through the driveway, so guests will have privacy if desired. We enjoy interacting when convenient! Late night arrivals are also welcome; we have found that some flights come in late and it is unavoidable at times. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a Japanese soaking tub in the bathroom; shower off first and step in for a relaxing soak after a busy day! You will soon be addicted.
There is also a laundry room available To the left side of the main house. You can get there through a small gate which leads directly to the laundry room.
You must turn the light switch on for the washing machine to work, and somehow it was wired to the same switch.. There is detergent in an envelope. They're called true Earth detergent. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions!
Guest access
The entire cottage is yours; there is a deck between it and the main house. A light is left on at night just outside the cottage door and you are welcome to sit outside when the weather is good (the Bay Area is known for its chilly evenings, even in summer, so be prepared!)
Other things to note
The climate is very comfortable here in the East Bay; we don't really have a summer, it only reaches 80 occasionally, and is sunny most of the year, with low humidity, especially from April to October. Be prepared to bring jackets even in the summer, as nights are definitely chilly, especially in San Francisco.

With 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, & a dedicated smaller nursery/office space, this family-friendly flat in Estudillo Estates, San Leandro, is a perfect Bay Area getaway location. We have a pool in the backyard that can be used during the warmer months by booking a 2-hour block in advance. Enjoy easy access to BART, a 15-minute drive to Oakland + 35 min drive to SF, but also a nice neighborhood/community feel. Great restaurants, hiking, parks, are all easily accessible.
The space
You'll be struck by the property as soon as you see it. This historic Tudor home was once a convent for nuns. The rental unit is adjacent to the main property, but has it's own separate entrance through the backyard. The decor is boho chic, with modern upgrades and thoughtful touches throughout. The space is light, bright, and airy, but each of the bedrooms (including the bonus crib room) have black out curtains so that guests can enjoy a comfortable night's sleep.
Guest access
Guests have a dedicated parking space, in the driveway on the side of the property, next to the entrance to the backyard. Guests will be given the code to the keypad at the gate and the door of the unit.
Other things to note
Ideal locations for families with young kids. The third bedroom is on the smaller side, but comfortably fits a crib and chair. Pack n Play and high chair are available upon request. Please let us know if you will need bedding for the daybed and pullout twin sleeper.
