Then welcome to our brand new guest house, which accommodates a maximum of two guests and is a completely private tropical oasis. Standing on the edge of Lake LaVista, surrounded by tropical palms where you have use of the private and beautiful pool which we heat during the winter months.

The space
We don't want to waste your time so please carefully read the listing details before you request to stay.

A couple of points before you go any further -

1. The Boathouse is for a maximum of 2 guests aged 25 or over. No children, no infants, no exceptions.
2. We are only able to accept guests who have at least one Airbnb review and all reviews must be 5*.
3. When arranging your travel plans please note that our checkout time is 11 am. We strive to keep the Boathouse in pristine condition which requires time on a changeover day. It is therefore unlikely that we can accommodate an early check in although we are happy for you to drop off luggage in the garage (must be after 11am so as not to disturb the guests who are staying).
4. Only the registered Airbnb account holder and their guest can book and occupy the home - please do not try and book the home on behalf of someone else.



The kitchenette includes a fridge/freezer, microwave/convection oven with air fryer, dual induction hotplate and dishwasher. There is no stove. Small appliances include a Keurig coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, Nutribullet.

Plenty of comfortable seating in the lounge where there is a Samsung Smart TV.
The master bedroom has a king bed with a luxury firm Wink mattress. Plenty of closet space and a Samsung Smart TV. There is an en-suite bathroom with large walk-in rain shower along with handheld shower with Bluetooth speaker.
The home is supplied with pristine sheets and towels, including beach towels and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries.
The home comes complete with a Miele washing machine and dryer. There is an ironing board and iron.
It is the outside that is nothing short of magical. The large deck, complete with a Weber gas grill and sun loungers overlooks the beautiful pool and the canal where you can almost touch the Manatees swimming by. On the first floor there is a further covered seating area with comfortable hanging chairs perfect for curling up and reading a book. There is also an outside dining table and chairs.
The beautiful tropical garden is lit at night and enjoys a privacy that is hard to find elsewhere on the island as we are not overlooked from other homes.
A note about the pool heat. While the pool is heated during the winter months as with all pool heat, at times when the ambient temperature drops too low (50’s and 60’s) the heaters will be unable to operate.
We do not hear the spa separately to the pool.
We ask you to please respect our house rule - nobody other than the guests staying at the property can use The Boathouse or its amenities.

The guest house and the pool is for the sole use of the guests during their stay. There is a large area of the garden completely private for guests.
