- "Great location in walking distance to shops and restaurants." - "We’ve stayed here before and love this little cabin! It’s so convenient to shops in government camp and a cozy place to come back to after skiing. Unfortunately, there was a power outage in Government Camp coupled with subzero temperatures so we had to cut our stay short, but we look forward to returning next year." - "Very nice little cabin a couple of blocks from all the stuff in Government Camp, Took the shuttle from Sandy and didn't have to deal with driving in the snow. I definitely would book this place again"

- "Great place great location" - "One of our favorite trips every year is snowshoeing into Trillium Lake for a few days. This was our first time staying at this house and we loved it. Nice to have 4 bedrooms to spread out. Kitchen / dining / living are on the smaller side but because they’re all open to one another, it worked fine for us. We loved the covered front porch and were delighted to have so much snow this year to play in. Also loved that this house is off the main trail so incredibly peaceful."

- "No issues" - "The house was in a great location to access both ends of the SkiBowl Adventure Park. It was quick access to all the attractions. Check in was quick and easy. We loved the spacious house; with all 10 of us and a dog we had plenty of room to visit and have space to ourselves if we wanted. The master suite was impressive with a great view of Mt Hood and the rest of the bedrooms were roomy and very comfortable. My 14yo, 6 ft, son took over the wizard nook as soon as he saw it and really enjoyed his own space. The kitchen was well stocked and had plenty of room to cook for the 10 of us. The table was kinda tight for 10 but we made it work. We BBQd both days also which was nice on the hotter day. The house stayed pretty cool on it's own too; without AC I wasn't sure what to expect on a 85 degree day. The small neighborhood was quite while we were there. It's a very nice area, secluded from the highway in the trees, even though you can hear some road noise and big trucks. Overall, would recommend to big groups and will probably try it out this winter too."

- "We stayed here for the Perkins between Christmas and new years. 10 of us. House was perfect and we hope to be back next year." - "Had a nice time at the house! Lovely place, very clean, and beautiful views into nature. Lots of space and room for all of our group to stretch out and relax. Only problem was the driveway wasn't plowed. We had to spend about 30-45 minutes digging out way into the property. Every other driveway was plowed except this on, and while the property management was very responsive and tried to help it was still disappointing. Would love to come back again for another ski trip!"

We all enjoyed the game room and large living room on the ground floor and had group dinners, games and movies down there. Easy walk to restaurants and the little grocery store. We all walked to Cosmic Tubing at Ski Bowl East and had a blast. Short drives to Meadows and Timberline (or shuttle) for skiing/snowboarding. 3rd night free stay before 11/19! fall hiking, electric car charger!
Cabin
Government Camp, Oregon, USA

In its post-war heyday, the Barlow Cabin—on the route of the historic Barlow Road in Government Camp—hosted everyone from Scandinavian royalty to the world’s top ski racers.

Movie star Rock Hudson stopped in for a drink during the filming of Bend in the River (1952). The cabin was built in 1946 by Timberline Lodge’s first publicist, George Henderson, as a compact, convivial base camp and gathering place for skiers and climbers and, eventually, his own children and grandchildren. Now it's your turn to immerse yourself in Mt Hood history!

This rustic cabin offers Pendleton blankets, down comforters, a cozy wood-burning fireplace, a furnace and now air conditioning! There is also a smart TV with Hulu and WiFi to stream. You can also hook up your iPod / iPhone to the stereo to play your choice of music. The Crosstown Trail, with its links to the Westleg Road and Glade and Alpine ski trails, is a short walk / ski away. Walk to dinner in Government Camp or stay in to cook in the small but well-equipped kitchen. On the walls are photos and memorabilia from the 1930s and ’40s depicting Government Camp’s emergence as a recreation destination. While you are visiting, be sure to page through George’s own Mount Hood memoir; Lonely On The Mountain.

The living room, kitchen, small bathroom with shower, and kids’ bedroom (bunk beds) are downstairs. Upstairs are three small bedrooms and a half-bath. One upstairs bedroom has twin beds, one has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has one queen bed and one twin. Capacity is limited to parties of eight or fewer.

Guests are welcome to charge their electric vehicle at our conveniently located Level 2 car charger. Please note that the Barlow Cabin is not wheelchair accessible, and pets are not allowed.

Guest Reviews:

- "Very sweet cabin, not a lot of room to do more than sleep and sit around (ie. Not much table space for games) but its incredibly close to all the shops and cafes in town. also incredibly close to ski lifts and ski bowl for year round activities. Biggest challenge was that the check in process was not provided clearly through VRBO beforehand, and they were separately emailed which wasnt expected. All around a wonderful place to stay. " - "Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We count on using the cabin every year for the best place to stay for snowshoeing!"

Heart of village! Knotty pine alpine cabin.
Cabin
Government Camp, Oregon, USA

The Trails Out Lodge is located in the heart of the alpine village at the base of the Glade Trail (hence the name). It was constructed in 1936 for the Fred Van Dyke family, one of the first operators of Timberline Lodge. The cabin features a knotty pine interior and a majestic stone fireplace reminiscent of the stonework at Timberline Lodge.

The main level contains the living room / dining area, kitchen, utility room, a bedroom, a half-bathroom, and the main entry foyer. The upstairs contains two more bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. Each upstairs bedroom has air-conditioning during the summer for better warm weather sleeping. There have been multiple improvements throughout the years to make the cabin more comfortable, convenient, and safe without sacrificing the work done by the skilled craftsman of the 1930's.

The roads to the cabin and parking at the cabin are plowed during winter. There is parking for three cars on site with nearby public parking available for additional vehicles.

The cabin has plenty of yard area for children to play and just up the road at the dead end is a great winter play area with a hill ideal for inner-tubing. Access to the trails along the north side of Government Camp are accessed through this area and lead to a large network of hiking/cross country skiing/snowshoeing trails. Trails to south side of the village can be access by walking over the Multorpor bridge. These trails give easy access all the way to Trillium Lake and beyond.

Village shops and restaurants are only a two-minute walk away, ideal for be able to leave the car at the cabin when doing culinary and retail exploring.

The cabin is stocked with board games and videos. The Govy General Store (200' away) rents DVD's and sells items to make your trip even more enjoyable.

While at the cabin don't forget to check out the Mt. Hood Museum and Cultural Center.

This cabin is vintage 1936 (Timberline Lodge era), this means it’s full of quirks and character and that’s why we adore it so much. If you are more comfortable in a sleek modern cabin, we gently suggest this cabin might not be the best fit for your getaway.

The stairs are steep, narrow, and partially open on one side. To prevent an accident young children need to be supervised by their parents when using the stairs.

IMPORTANT - Shortly after booking our cabin we will request payment for County Room Tax which VRBO is currently unable to capture at booking. These taxes are 6.85% of the amount you pay to VRBO. This situation is unwelcome for everyone, so we hope VRBO will update their software soon! All owners using VRBO for lodging on Mt. Hood are in the same situation. They used to collect this tax but tell us now their software is unable to do it. VRBO has told me they are working on a solution.

- "This is the best location in Government Camp! Blane was great and the cabin was comfortable, clean and perfect. Thank you! We will return!!" - "We stayed here for a quick ski trip at Timberline, and we were pleasantly surprised by the house. The photos in the listing are great, but the house is even better in person. The beds are reasonably comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare east family meals. Importantly, the location in Government Camp is hard to beat—an easy walk to restaurants and the general store, as well as to trails (and a fun area to play in the snow). Also, the host is kind and easy to work with!"

- "A perfect getaway, food and drinks close by, and tons to see and do around town!" - "Located in downtown Government Camp, this place was perfect. Cozy and cute. 20 min drive to our ski slope and steps from restaurants. We had a great time. Perfect for our family of 3." - "Great cozy spot right in town. Awesome" - "House was clean and tidy. Couldn't find any extra blankets. Enjoyed stay. Everything worked and was clean. Unfortunately we were threatened with eviction for temporarily covering a ring door bell due to safety concerns. Asking to remove covering would have seem better than threatening eviction. "

- "Been coming here since it was listed and never fails to disappoint. Great interior, has everything you need and awesome location. See you next year!" - "Thank you for this delightful space. Comfortable beds, and high quality bedding; a well equip kitchen and bathroom. We recommend bringing a Hot Water Bottle as upstairs gets cold at night. Location was great, a short walk to magnificent hiking paths. We caught the unusually hot weather in October, and visited local lakes Mirror and Tillicum for magical hikes and a surprise swim. One thing, as others have noted, the bright street light shines directly into the East facing bedroom all night, I brought an eye mask specifically, as I had read about this bright light in another review."

Heart of village! Knotty pine cabin located on a creek.
Cabin
Government Camp, Oregon, USA

The Camp Creek Lodge is located in the heart of the alpine village at the base of the Glade Trail. It was constructed in 1938. The cabin features a knotty pine interior and a majestic stone fireplace.

The main level contains the entry foyer, living room / dining area, kitchen, utility room, a full-bathroom, a half-bathroom, and the main entry foyer. The upstairs contains two bedrooms, and a sleeping area at the top of the stairs. Each upstairs bedroom has air-conditioning during summer for better warm weather sleeping. There have been multiple improvements throughout the years to make the cabin more comfortable, convenient, and safe without sacrificing the work done by the skilled craftsman of the 1930's.

The roads to the cabin and parking at the cabin are plowed during winter. There is parking for two cars on site with nearby public parking available for additional vehicles.

Village shops and restaurants are only a two minute walk away, ideal for be able to leave the car at the cabin when doing culinary and retail exploring.

The cabin is stocked with board games and videos. The Govy General Store (200' away) rents DVD's and sells items to make your trip even more enjoyable.

While at the cabin don't forget to check out the Mt. Hood Museum and Cultural Center.

This cabin is vintage 1938 (Timberline Lodge era) with a 1974 addition, this means it’s full of quirks and character and that’s why we adore it so much. If you are more comfortable in a sleek modern cabin, we gently suggest this cabin might not be the best fit for your getaway.

IMPORTANT - Shortly after booking our cabin we will request payment for County Room Tax which VRBO is currently unable to capture at booking. These taxes are 6.35% of the amount you pay to VRBO. This situation is unwelcome for everyone, so we hope VRBO will update their software soon! All owners using VRBO for lodging on Mt. Hood are in the same situation. They used to collect this tax but tell us now their software is unable to do it. VRBO has told me they are working on a solution.

Guest Reviews:

Amazing Government Camp Cabin Short Walk to SkiBowl or Downtown
Cabin
Government Camp, Oregon, USA

Location, Location, Location!!! This unique A-Frame was originally built in the 60's by an architect who lived and breathed mountain life. The house was completely remodeled in 2015, and is like nothing else - truly unique.

For heating on cold snowy nights, a new propane furnace, wood stove, bed heaters on all beds, cozy down comforters, and feather beds insure your feet will stay toasty warm. The bathrooms have been remodeled to include a claw foot soaking tub and two custom tiled showers, along with an instant hot water heater to provide continuous hot water for all guests. There is also a sauna for soothing aching muscles from a hard day on the slopes.

The kitchen is extraordinarily functional with gourmet touches, including a Viking range, Dishwasher, concrete countertops, and everything you could possibly need to blend, puree, chop, boil, or sauté until your heart content. In addition, we have many spices available for your use.

Sleeping arrangements consist of two bedrooms and a loft. The loft has a queen bed and twin futon. The first floor bedrooms have a queen in one room, and two twin beds in the second. There is an additional twin futon available with bedding.

The upstairs is perfect for family and friends, with a great room concept integrating kitchen, eating, and living spaces. The living room has a huge and cozy Restoration Hardware down couch, along with other designer comforts and a flat screen TV for watching your favorite DVD or streaming Netflix.

We made all efforts to incorporate reclaimed/recycled finishes throughout, which is demonstrated through touches such as 9-inch yellow pine flooring planks salvaged from gymnasium bleachers and the chairlift chair hanging from the ceiling peak in the main room.

Best of all, the location of this little gem cannot be beat. Upper Skibowl is one block away. In fact, it takes longer to walk across the Skibowl parking lot than it does to walk from the house to the Skibowl gate entrance. Or rather than heading to the slopes, take a left and walk across Multopor Crossing and you are in Government Camp proper, with several restaurant options like Charley's, the Huckleberry Inn, Ratskeller, or shopping for forgotten essentials and memorable souvenirs. Unless you are driving to Timberline or Meadows, YOU DON'T NEED YOUR CAR. With that said, the driveway can accommodate off street parking for up to 3-cars (Snowpass still required elsewhere in town).

Timeberline Lodge or Mount Hood Meadows are a short 15 to 20-minute drive up the mountain.

Mountain chalet (overflow room)
Cabin
Government Camp

Private room in a shared mountain chalet available when other rooms are booked. Comfortable fold out queen. Perfect for the single traveler or a couple. Common areas are shared with me and/or my family, and other guests. You decide how much or how little social interaction you prefer. I am happy to give tips on nearby restaurants, activities and entertainment. Why not take the chance to meet interesting people? Or you can be lonely in a hotel. #861-24

The space
This is a fairly large chalet. It can easily handle our family (Nick, Natasha, Nina and our labradoodle “Dekki”), plus up to 2 guests per room in the other rooms. It is a 3 story building — 2100 sqft. The doors squeak and the floors creak a little, lending to an authentic vintage chalet experience!

Guest access
You have access to: your private room and also the kitchen, living room, dining room, entry/snow shake-off area, laundry area, indoor hot tub, 2 bathrooms, common deck out back, deck off kitchen with gas grill, and office room. In summer, the garden/yard is available and we can set up hammocks, table and chairs, fire pit (when burning allowed). There is a tree house, horseshoes, creek, pond, terrace, and faux “dock”, which is big enough for your picnic. Animals abound here in summer and share our environment. We have deer, bears, rabbits, birds, insects, and friendly garter snakes. In winter everyone just plays in the snow — you can dig a snow cave, make snow angels, snowshoe around or just have a good ole snowball fight!

During your stay
Guests can socialize or maintain privacy to their liking. Shared spaces are welcoming, and all are expected to behave courteously and treat others with respect

Other things to note
This is one of multiple very similar rooms available. You agree to accept another room at host’s discretion.

Cozy Cabin In the Heart of Government Camp
Cabin
Deschutes River

Our cabin is in the heart of Government Camp; you won't find a better location! For those who aren’t familiar, Gov't Camp is Mount Hood’s beautiful alpine town, and offers easy access to world-renowned skiing, cross country paths, hiking trails, mountain lakes, and more. The village offers restaurants, pubs, deli/cafes and shopping; our cabin itself is not fancy, but it's super cozy, and just a 5 minute walk to everything!

View the descriptions on our photos for more information on the space.

The space
The cabin is just off the main Gov't Camp Loop road, but secluded from town by trees. Once you are settled in, there is no need to drive if you intend to stay in/near Gov't Camp! There are multiple restaurants, brewpubs, deli/cafes, and shops within a five minute walk; if the snow is deep, feel free to use our four pairs of snowshoes :)

For skiers/boarders, Skibowl East is only a ten minute walk from the cabin.... or catch a shuttle (about 100 feet from the front door) to Skibowl West or Timberline Ski Resort; if you are adventurous and the weather is right, find the Glade Trail and ski from Timberline all the way back to the cabin (seriously!!). Mount Hood Meadows is about a 20 minute drive.

The cabin boasts a super cozy living room with fireplace, soft comfy furniture, and a nice view of Mt Hood (on a clear day) from the floor-to-ceiling windows. We have a fully stocked kitchen, and Govy General Store is a short walk away if you forgot anything, or need something we don’t have.

Other:
—> Our cabin is NOT luxurious; it's a family cabin, where furniture, kitchenware, decor, etc has been collected over time, and far from luxury. If you're looking for swanky and polished, we are not what you're looking for.
—> There is no TV in the cabin
—> There is no ice machine (so bring a bag of ice for your cocktails!)
—> There is no air conditioning; in the summer months, it can get warm in the cabin; be prepared to open windows/doors for ventilation
—> We are dog-friendly, so if you’re allergic to pet dander, book at your own risk
—> We do not hire a professional cleaning company; we clean the cabin ourselves between each Airbnb guest. Please forgive us if we've missed a cobweb or fingerprints on the window

Other things to note
Breakfast at Huckleberry Inn should be on your to-do list; it's a landmark on Mt Hood and you won't get a tastier breakfast anywhere.

About this space
Cabin is in the perfect location-steps to skiing, restaurants, or shopping. Completely remodeled in 2015, this historic home provides all the comforts to keep you warm, comfortable, well fed, and entertained. Perfect for families and friends, up to eight people.

The space
Location, Location, Location!!! This unique A-Frame was originally built in the 1960's by an architect who lived and breathed mountain life. The house was completely remodeled in 2015, and is like nothing else - truly unique.

For heating on cold snowy nights, a new propane furnace, wood stove, bed heaters on all beds, cozy down comforters, and feather beds ensure your feet will stay toasty warm. The bathrooms have been remodeled to include a claw foot soaking tub and two custom tiled showers, along with an instant hot water heater to provide continuous hot water for all guests. There is also a sauna for soothing aching muscles from a hard day on the slopes.

The kitchen is extraordinarily functional with gourmet touches, including a Viking range, dishwasher, concrete countertops, spices, and plenty of cooking supplies.

Cabin is 1400 square feet. Sleeping arrangements consist of two bedrooms and a private loft (3rd bedroom). The loft has a queen bed and twin futon. The first floor bedrooms have a queen in one room, and two twin beds in the second. There is an additional twin daybed available with bedding in a shared living area. Flatscreen is available in shared area downstairs.

The upstairs is perfect for family and friends, with a great room concept integrating kitchen, eating, and living spaces. The living room has a huge and cozy Restoration Hardware down couch, along with other designer comforts and a flat screen TV for watching your favorite DVD or streaming Netflix. Flatscreen is also available downstairs.

There is an extensive DVD collection (roughly 100-titles), along with Netflix streaming. No local channels or cable. There is a DVD player upstairs and a phone jack that allows you to play your phone or Pandora through the house stereo. The house stereo consists of an 8 speaker system on the second floor.

We made all efforts to incorporate reclaimed/recycled finishes throughout, which is demonstrated through touches such as 9-inch yellow pine flooring planks salvaged from gymnasium bleachers and the vintage chairlift chair hanging from the ceiling peak in the main room.

Best of all, the location of this little gem cannot be beat. Upper Skibowl is one block away. In fact, it takes longer to walk across the Skibowl parking lot than it does to walk from the house to the Skibowl gate entrance. Or rather than heading to the slopes, take a left and walk across Multopor Crossing and you are in Government Camp proper, with several restaurant options like Charley's, Huckleberry Inn, Ratskeller, or shopping for forgotten essentials and memorable souvenirs.

$25 extra charge per person over 4--- does not apply to minors. No smoking. No pets. No parties.

The space

Alpenhutte at Government Camp/Mt Hood
Cabin
Deschutes River

Alpenhutte is located just steps away from downtown Government Camp, where you can find restaurants and family-friendly activities. You’ll love our place because of the light, the comfy beds, and the coziness. My place is good for couples, groups of friends, families (with kids), and well-behaved furry friends (pets).

The space
Alpenhutte was built in 1940 and remodeled in 2005. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, though the common rooms are cozy! The kitchen is nice and is fully stocked with all of the pots, pans, and dishes that you require, but it is not large. I call it a one-cook kitchen, which I find perfect when vacationing. Please note that the stairs between floors are narrow and steep. Some people may not find this suitable for toddlers, or for people that have trouble navigating stairs.

We have a large screen TV on the main floor and one in the basement. We do not have cable TV, but do have blue-ray, and a DVD player. We also have a Chromecast on both TV's if you would like to access your streaming accounts. The television in the bonus room downstairs has a VHS player, and many VHS tapes that are in the PG-G range.

There is a fireplace that you are welcome to use. Please plan to bring your own wood if you would like to do so.

The grill on the deck is generally not accessible in the winter due to heavy snow.

From our house you can walk to downtown Government Camp in any season. We are just one block from the shops and restaurants. You can also walk or drive to Ski Bowl and Summit Ski area. Timberline Lodge and Mt Hood Meadows are a short drive away. If there is enough snow, you can ski down to our house from Timberline Lodge, using the Alpine ski trail. In summer, you can also hike this trail up to the Lodge. Cross Country skiing and Snow Shoeing trails can be accessed on foot, as well as many hiking and biking trails.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house with the exception of the owner's closet.

Other things to note
The roads to Government Camp are usually well plowed during the winter. The road up to our house, however, is fairly steep, and often not perfectly plowed. You should bring chains for your car if you do not have a 4-wheel drive.

Flying Stag - Main Lodge

With an eco-friendly design, sustainable craftsmanship, mountain views, and a prime location just steps away from the slopes at SkiBowl, this Government Camp home offers a unique take on lodge living, along with all the perks you'd expect from a Mount Hood vacation rental. With two living areas, a dining hall, and four bedrooms plus a loft housing 12 guests, this is an ideal retreat for large groups looking for an unparalleled mountain experience.

Once the first restaurant in Government Camp, this historic lodge has since be refurbished using locally sourced and upcycled wood to create a modernized, green environment while maintaining a traditional mountain lodge feel. Floor-to-ceiling wood panels and rustic decor reinforce the cabin-like ambiance of the home, along with the roaring gas fireplace that will keep you feeling cozy on those cold snowy nights.

The open layout and multiple common areas both encourage togetherness and camaraderie among your group and allow everyone to spread out and do their own thing. And you'll have plenty indoors to keep you entertained. While some may need to catch up on work emails (there's WiFi throughout), the others can play a game on the Wii, or watch a movie on Netflix or the DVD player. And don't forget CDs, there's a stereo and CD player too!

One of the most popular places to gather on vacation is naturally the kitchen. Spacious and fully stocked, this kitchen was made to handle large meals. There's plenty of prep room along the granite countertops, a brand new stove, all the kitchen essentials you could need, and even barstools at the eat-in bar so others can keep the chefs company while they prepare their masterpiece. Don't be too daunted by the post-meal mess - there's a dishwasher to make clean-up easier. Serve up your meals family style in the dining hall at the elongated wooden table that serves up to 10.

Four bedrooms in addition to the loft will sleep 12 vacationers comfortably. The stunning craftsmanship continues in the bedrooms with locally made beds from Cotton Cloud lined with organic linen sheets for a rejuvenating night's rest (note that the mattresses on these custom, hand-made beds are a little firmer than most, and without a box spring). Upstairs you'll find a bedroom with a queen bed and a second bedroom with two sets of twin bunks, along with a cozy TV room with two futons that can be used as additional sleeping arrangements. Back on the main floor lays another queen bedroom and the fourth bedroom, which holds a twin bunk bed. The lodge provides two full baths.

When it's time to head out, skiers and boarders will already be 'home' with the slopes of SkiBowl just a short walk from the front door. Head further up the road via the Glade Trail on snowshoe or cross-country skis (or the 15 minute drive by car) to Timberline Lodge where a hot chocolate and a dose of Oregon history awaits. There's snow tubing, terrain parks, and sleigh rides in the winter, and in the summer make sure to check out Mt. Hood Adventure Park's zip lines, alpine slide, rock wall, mini golf, mountain bike parks and more. There are miles upon miles of trails for hikers and bikers to explore, and fisherman will find plenty of steelhead in the Sandy and Salmon rivers close by.

Whether you're a ski club, on a work retreat, gathering with extended family, or a group of friends on a ski-venture, this unique Mt. Hood vacation rental offers the perfect amount of space and privacy to accommodate your group. With a unique layout and design and a stellar location, this Mt. Hood vacation rental will be one to remember.

Beautiful Cabin in Government Camp
Cabin
Deschutes River

Rustic but elegant log cabin in Government Camp. Next to Ski Bowl East in a prime location for Mountain fun--and just a short walk to restaurants.

It’s clean and comfortable, and packed with character. Cozy up with a wood burning stove while it snows or have a campfire by the wildflowers. Or grab the (well-loved) paddleboards and head to Trillium Lake.

A well behaved dog is welcome with approval, additional $50 cleaning fee. No cats please. Ask about discounts for multi-week rentals.

The space
A great place for friends or families to relax, hang, get outdoors and cook together. Perfect for two families of 4.

Offers a large living space, with an open kitchen and dining area. Well stocked for group meals. Table expands to comfortably seat 8.

Cozy reading nooks. Cupboard stocked with board games + foosball table in the basement. Plenty of options for movie night with large TV.

Bedrooms are upstairs with a bathroom with heated floors and a soaking tub. Shower in the main bathroom.

Winter entry is through the garage -- which is perfect for shedding wet and muddy outerwear. Hang gear by the wood fire for fast drying.

Equipment for guests:
In the winter there are four pairs of snowshoes you are welcome to use - one small, two medium, one large.

For summer, there are four stand up paddleboards that you are welcome to use at nearby lakes. The SUPs are well used and are foam/fiberglass, so you'll need a means of transporting them.

Other things to note
It's a well loved cabin--and is a continued project for our family. Be aware:

The windows have condensation inside the glass caused by snow piled against them.

The oven works but is a blast from the 1960s. It works well, but please don't plan on using the timer. It's quirky and you may not return to a hot meal.

We are currently asking guest using the garage entrance only. The wraparound walkway has loose stones.

We allow dogs upon approval with an additional $50 cleaning fee. We do not allow cats. House is thoroughly cleaned between guests, but still not recommended for those with severe dog or cat allergies.
