The property is ideal for two guests, has just about everything you need, although I couldn’t find a blender for morning smoothies. Off street parking was available in the driveway. My Tiny Cabin is located on 2.3 forested acres in a rural setting close to Portland and wine country. My home is located on the same property but trees and space in between the two provide privacy. A ladder takes you to the upstairs loft with a queen bed and a skylight for a view of the treetops. A futon that folds into a comfortable full sized bed is located downstairs. The kitchenette provides a microwave, small refrigerator and coffee. Step out to the deck to enjoy your coffee, a glass of wine or cook on the propane grill.
- "It was a great stay that really felt like you are away from it all. You do need to be a bit agile to get up and down the ladder to the loft, but for me added to the charm of the place. From the deck we saw quail, squirrels, and deer." - "It was sweet tiny cabin that hugged three people and three dogs amongst the trees! Quiet and accessible to all of our activities. And close to a nice dog park. Thank you Nancy!" - "Wonderfully secluded spot. So thoughtfully laid out. Convenient for getting good coffee and going on a lovely walk at Jenkins Estate."

Add-On Amenities & The Camper’s Closet:
Looking to level up your stay? We’ve got a few optional add-ons available to make your retreat experience even better!
? The Camper’s Closet is our cozy little on-site camp store—fully self-serve and available 24/7 through a QR code on the Closet door or via our weblink. You’ll find essentials and fun extras like:
S’mores kits ??
Fire starter kits ??
Trader Joe’s snacks ??
Grocery or flower delivery services ??
…and more!
?? Laundry Room Access ($10 Add-On): Want to use our onsite laundry facilities during your stay? You can reserve it for 6 hours of exclusive use through the Camper’s Closet as well.
????? Barrel Sauna ($20 Add-On): Whether you're chasing post-hike relaxation or just a cozy moment of zen, this warm little haven is now available to book for private 2 hour sessions.
?? How it works: These optional add-on services (or any other store purchases) require a separate purchase. You'll receive more detailed information before your arrival. Once you place your order, you’ll get an email with instructions for pickup or reservation and your door code.
Just a heads-up: Airbnb's new fee transparency policy means we’re including these add-on details here to keep things crystal clear. Specifically, the washer, dryer, and sauna are listed as available amenities for this listing but they are not included in your nightly rate.
3rd Party Booking Policy:
My Tiny Creekside Retreat is a great option for crews, professionals traveling for work, and is a way safer, more secure, and affordable option than local hotels.
Hosting guests, however, who have not made the reservation itself carries additional risk and hosting challenges. As such, in our desire to support our local employers we have recently developed and released this 3rd Party Booking Policy.
If you are booking on behalf of someone else, please review and accept this policy by replying specifically with the phrase “Responsible Guests Welcome”:
1) Booking must be confirmed at least 2 hours in advance of arrival.
2) Payment of an additional $150 refundable cleaning deposit via an Airbnb resolution center request will be required prior to arrival.
3) A contact name and verifiable cell phone # must be provided for at least 1 of the guests who are staying. Contact will be made with them prior to their arrival to verify their ID and ensure they are aware of the expectations during their stay.
Thank you for the opportunity to support the hard-working traveling professionals that help our cities and towns grow and thrive.
The WIFI in the Hideout is adequate for casual use (email, social media, cell phone use) but NOT recommended for professional use or data-intensive entertainment (streaming or downloading movies, crypto farming, large file transfers, or zoom calls) If these limitations affect you, please do inquire about the availability of our many other accommodations on site which have better wifi performance.
Cedar Loo Toilet Details:
We want you to love your stay, and that means making sure you’re comfortable with our eco-friendly, flushless Cedar Loo style toilet. It’s simple to use and saves thousands of gallons of water each year. But let’s be real—if you’re expecting a traditional flush toilet, this might not be the right rental for you.
How it works? Sit, do your business, toss in a handful of cedar chips, and close the lid. Once a day (or as needed), simply lift out the bag, tie it shut, and place it in the designated outdoor bin. A fresh bag will be ready to go—no extra setup needed!
If the idea of this type toilet makes you uneasy, we totally understand! We’d rather you book a place that meets your expectations than be surprised upon arrival. As an alternative, please do inquire about the availability of our other accommodations onsite that do have flushing toilets.
Pet and Animal Policy:
Recently we have updated this listing and no longer allow pets in this accommodation. If you would like to bring yours, please inquire about our many other accommodations on site which do allow animals.
In the best interest of transparency, our pet policy is only noted here so all guests on site understand the expectations of visiting animals and their owners; including service animals:
1. Pets must stay leashed outside at all times.
2. No pets on furniture, beds, or lofts.
3. Pets cannot be left alone inside, even in crates.
4. Clean up accidents with supplies under the sink, waste w/ bags provided, and sweep the house daily to manage fur.
5. At Creekside Cottage, use the signed pup relief area instead of the front lawn.
6. Expect friendly barn cats and free-range bunnies outdoors—if your pet chases or reacts strongly, this may not be the best fit.
7. Disruptive pets (excessive barking, digging, etc.) may be asked to leave without refund.
- "My Hideout was so charming. Clean, comfortable, and a beautiful location. Better than pictured." - "We came to Longview for our son’s wedding. We live in the country and have two dogs we don’t leave alone. We were worrying about a place where we and our dogs would feel comfortable. That’s exactly what we found in the Tiny House Village. The Hideout was not only comfortable, but kind of elegant, IMO. The decor and all the elements were very nice and well planned. The use of space to fit in everything needed is amazing. It was very difficult to leave each morning to go to town. Michelle’s communication was the best! Also enjoyed the friendly rabbits."

Relax in your own quiet little oasis on our hazelnut farm. Our small cozy cabin is perfect for one, or two who enjoy togetherness! This renovated old "summer kitchen" stands next to the 1880's farmhouse, and was originally used for wood stove summer cooking before electricity was available. About the size of a large doll house, or playhouse, it measures 12' x 25'. Also enjoy your own outdoor patio space, on our 40 acre family hazelnut farm, with views of the barnyard, farmland and orchard. Full kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, and gas range. Bedroom w/ queen bed, wardrobe and desk. Bathroom with shower. Dogs allowed on leash only, as there are chickens and kitties living on the farm.
- "Although the little cabin is small, it is cheerful and light and beautifully appointed, and so fresh and clean. It feels like home, with cozy touches, and the kitchen has everything I needed for cooking, and I especially loved the gas stove, and a garden view out the window above the sink. Charlotte and Val were helpful, and it was a tiny home, but drinking my coffee on the patio and listening to the birds and chickens made me want to move to the country! I took a 1 mile walk around the nut orchard, and enjoyed the country views and hills in the distance. I want to come back soon!"

Enjoy peace and quiet in a lovely rural setting. Our cozy cabin is located on the edge of our hazelnut orchard. The covered front porch is great for morning coffee, and the nearby brick paved patio with table and chairs can also be enjoyed for meals or relaxation.
Our cabin first floor features a complete kitchen with dishwasher, refrigerator, range, and microwave over, and enough counter space to prepare your own meals. The dining area is across from the kitchen. The living room has a no-heat electric fireplace for ambiance on cozy winter evenings.
Upstairs is the bedroom with queen size bed, reading area, and bathroom.
Heating and air-conditioning provided by mini-splits located upstairs and downstairs.
Take an early morning stroll in the orchard and enjoy the birds songs; if you are very quiet, you might see a bunny before it scampers away to hide.
- "I had a great stay in this cozy cottage. I had all of the amenities I needed and enjoyed a morning walk around the beautiful orchard. " - "Great quiet location. Nicely equipped. Charming" - "In all of our travels this stay will be remembered as among the best; away from bustle of Portland but still within easy reach of all her attractions. We found our bungalow getaway clean and new, overlooking the nut orchards on Charlotte’s family farm. It’s been thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed for meals, evening entertainment, and restoring rest. We took our breakfasts on the lawn. During a spell of uncommonly hot weather we easily stayed comfortable. Though the setting felt private, Charlotte was available and attentive. She seemed rightfully proud of this place she has lived on since 1960! Nearby, sample the loving labors of the Benedictine monks at their Mt Angel brewery after hiking among stunning waterfalls of Silver Creek state park."

Why Guests Love It
“It felt like our very own forest.”
“The peace and quiet were soul-refreshing.”
“Like staying in a national park, but just minutes from Portland.”
Cooper Mountain Cabin is your peaceful Oregon forest retreat, where modern comfort meets timeless calm. Gather, rest, and reconnect in a space made for slowing down and savoring the season.
- "When the property description indicates you are tucked away in the forest, make no mistake that’s the case. Drive thru a lovely community, find the “private driveway” sign, follow the road into a proverbial rain forest, including deer about. Round the bend and you are home at your personal treehouse. The “cabin” is nicely appointed, clean and private. Our family of nine loved the space. Kitchen, basement spaces recently updated. Master, second bedrooms updates in the future? Echo was an amazing host, the cabin private, quiet and worlds away (though not really 😌). Magical stay for a family looking to get away, though not too far. Echo, thank you.. Kathy and family"

A Sunny Outlook is one of many, scattered, private accommodations on our 2.5 acre Retreat. Each one is spaced adequately to provide plenty of privacy but also a sense of safety for our guests who are not used to experiencing our very dark rural nights. Unless you have an event contract with us which includes the entire complex, all outdoor areas are shared with other guests.
Wildlife abounds and the views from this waterfront cabin are just the thing to melt your cares away. You'll come away inspired AND relaxed.
Our location truly is the perfect and affordable getaway for adventurous guests seeking a centralized accommodation, within a short drive from Portland or Seattle, who are looking to explore the Washington Coast and Long Beach, Astoria and Seaside Oregon, Mt. St. Helens and the Ape Caves, Beaver Creek Falls, as well as the the historic and scenic Port of Kalama with fun new shopping and tourist attractions.
If you're interested in visiting attractions or restaurants and shopping destinations in and around My Tiny Creekside Retreat, you'll find our favorites listed in the Household Handbook and on our website. There is no public transit available. There is, however, taxi service available which can pick you up and drop you off at the train station in Kelso if needed.
WINTER UPDATE: The outdoor shower may not be available for use if there will be freezing temperatures during your stay.
For a harmonious coexistence in our cozy space, we kindly ask you to consider these simple guidelines to make the most of your pet-friendly stay:
1. To ensure everyone's safety, we request that pets remain leashed when outside.
2. We have a no-pets-on-the-furniture policy. That includes beds and lofts too!
3. Our general limit is two pets per stay, unless we've chatted and made special arrangements.
4. Cat lovers, bring your own litter box along for your feline friends.
5. We've got you covered with pet waste bags—please use them for clean-ups, every single time.
6. We're all about quality time together, so let's avoid leaving furry friends solo in the homes.
7. Oopsie moments happen! If they do, there are handy cleaning supplies under the sink.
8. A little daily sweep will do wonders to keep fur from taking over.
9. Guests at our Creekside Cottage, we've set up a pup relief area (with a sign!) to save the lawn. Feel free to use it, or any other spot on the property except the front lawn.
10. It's all about trust. If we all play by the rules, your deposit is returned to you. Just know, after any major rule-bending (extra laundry, cleaning, or upholstery work), up to $150 is not gonna’ come back to you. Plus, intentional rule breakers might face extra fees. Let's keep things snazzy!
- "The property is crowded, loud and it doesn’t have bathrooms as listed or a working shower. No privacy and loud unlike the description in the listing."

Tiny House Guest Cottage one mile off 213 near Marquam. Remote, yet accessible.
10 minutes from Mt. Angel and Molalla.
15 minutes from Silverton.
18 minutes from Oregon Garden.
Loft with King size bed and luxurious sheets.
Two sofas downstairs can be converted into beds.
Not suitable for children.
Sit on the back patio in the evening and listen to owls, coyotes, frogs, and crickets. Dozens of species of birds.
This tiny house is best for 1-2 people.
4 is possible, though not desirable, and only if you get along VERY well (2 people in King bed in loft, 1 in bedroom/office, 1 more in spare loft bed or on Living Room sofa).
It has everything you need:
--Cozy living area with a kitchen (THERE IS NO OVEN! One induction hot plate and microwave, full size fridge and big sink, plenty of counter space).
--King size bed in an upstairs (up ladder, technically) loft.
--A small (72x32) bed in the office for a solo person who can't climb ladders. Some people also like to sleep on the Living Room sofa (70x31).
--At 450 square feet, the Tiny House isn't that tiny. 300 sf on the main floor, and the loft is another 150 sf. All on a trailer.
--Two TVs if that is your thing. We only have a Roku, so bring your own stick if you are picky on programming. There is a BlueRay/DVD player (and movies).
No children at any time due to danger of falls (responsible teens ok).
Non-smokers only. No smoking of any substance.
Absolutely no cats due to extreme allergies.
Dogs allowed on the main floor only, and the sofa will be covered. NO DOGS IN LOFT!
Yes, the $100 cleaning fee is steep but it takes two hours to clean the cottage after guests leave (more if they've made a mess or have a dog). It is 450 sq ft of cleaning and a lot of surfaces, so it takes time.
The additional $30 pet fee covers the following:
1) removal of hair and nose prints on glass.
2) covering the sofa with a dog blanket.
3) deep vacuuming to get all the hairs before the next guests.
As far as value... don't forget that VRBO adds up to 18% to my charge (what you pay is not what I receive).
Guest access
The entire Tiny House and its porch is yours for the time you are renting.
It is separate from the Main House, which is across the driveway and a lawn. One of the photos shows the Main House so you can get a sense for the distance.
You can walk our forest and fields.
Other things to note
No smokers. No smoking inside or outside (where it is a fire danger).
If the cottage smells like smoke, you will be charged $500 for smoke remediation.
The King size bed is up a ladder (see photos) and you'll need to be fit to access it. For people who can't climb ladders, the chair in the office converts into a small (72x32) single size bed. You can also sleep on the sofa in the living room. In the summer, the loft can get hot because the AC doesn't reach up there. Moving hot air out with fans is helpful, but if it is an issue, you can sleep on one of the two downstairs beds.
Due to zoning laws, we are not allowed to have a stove/oven in this cottage. However, you'll find a hotplate and a microwave as well as a full sized fridge.
