Situated within the grounds of Saint Francis Cottage, The Granary is split over two floors with a spacious open-plan living area on the ground floor and two bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor. The open-plan living area is flooded with light and the french doors open onto a small patio area overlooking the pond and established gardens which guests are welcome to explore. The two oven Aga is operational during the cooler months, whilst the underfloor heating will ensure your toes are toasty throughout the year. There is a cosy sitting area and the dining table can comfortably accommodate up to six guests - ideal if you have friends over for supper. Upstairs, the master bedroom with king-size bed has a vast, vaulted ceiling and benefits from its very own balcony which has idyllic views of the surrounding fields and countryside. A cup of coffee on the balcony first thing in the morning is a holiday must. The second bedroom is generously sized and has a 3' single bed. After a long day of exploring, the bathtub with jets is perfect for a relaxing soak. Outside there is parking for up to two cars.

The kitchen has full height fridge and freezer, two Bosch ovens, an induction hob, a kettle, toaster and microwave. The large utility room has washing and ironing facilities.

With a dining table and chairs to seat 12/14, you can entertain in style, then either relax in front of the fire, or party into the evening with the bi-fold doors open, expanding the patio, lounge and kitchen into one huge space.
The snug has a sofa, table football, and a basketball net with sponge balls. The morning sun floods in, making it a lovely place to read or play.

This house has 5 bedrooms and can very comfortably sleep 10 adults plus 2 children on smaller guest beds.
On the ground floor are bedrooms 1 and 2. Bedroom 1 has a 4'6'' double bed, a walk in wardrobe /storage room and an ensuite shower room.
Bedroom 2 has two 3' singles which can convert to a Superking. Please let us know your preference on booking.

The ground floor has underfloor heating throughout.

The 2 x childrens guest beds can be set up in any bedroom to suit your needs.

- "The Mayfair provided us with the perfect place to stay for a gathering of family and friends whilst celebrating our daughter and son in law’s wedding celebration at a venue a few miles away. The big light & spacious, well-equipped kitchen/dining/ sitting area was absolutely ideal for us all to eat and relax together. This is clearly a well-appointed new property but the reason for our four stars and not five is that we feel there are a few finishing touches it really needs to warrant its high end specification. Proper signage from the road would help save last minute confusion when looking for the property. The bedrooms are stark without bedside lamps (there was only one and there are six bedrooms). The three rooms which share the family bathroom would benefit from mirrors and consistency of towel, bathmat and extra pillow provision throughout would make for a more welcoming feel. The kitchen is very well equipped but a garlic press, bread knife and a cafetière or filter coffee facility would be helpful. The nespresso machine had no pods on offer which was a shame. Other than these small but, we feel, important points we had a fabulous weekend and would recommend this property to anyone wanting to share time with family and friends."

During your stay
I give my guests space but am available when needed
The entire upstairs is given to guests and you may meet the other guests or you may be the only guest. I am available if needed but you have a separate entrance and need not interact with me if you prefer. I will gladly do a load of washing for you

Other things to note
Please ask me and I will do a load of laundry for you £5 per load. (no delicate fabrics please).
Please note that I would not like to have third party bookings, That is when a person is booked by another person such as an employer or friend. I would like the person who booked the room to be the person who arrives. I would like the person who books to also have a profile image on their information and to resemble that image. I may be flexible on this if you contact me first. We are 4.7 miles to the July racecourse, or 12 minutes in a car on a clear day. Public Bus transport runs weekdays but not weekends. Please read all about listing before booking. We are also 14 miles from Ely. Students may find it useful too have a bike to access Newmarket and the stations.
