There are great country walks direct from the house, and when you come back, make a cup of tea (or coffee) and relax in front of the fire.
The annexe is for your exclusive use throughout your stay. And if the weather is good you are welcome to soak up the sun on the terrace undisturbed.

You will enjoy staying in the heart of the country, where the most common sound is the many birds, and yet you are within easy reach of several towns.

Your accommodation consists of a double bedroom with king size bed, a small sitting room and shower room. There is a fridge and microwave in the utility room next to the shower room. All of this is for your exclusive use during your stay.
Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the sitting room, and your breakfast, and milk will be left for you in the utility room so you are completely undisturbed during your stay.
On sunny days, there is a terrace outside for you to sit and have breakfast, or an evening drink.

The kitchenette has a full sized fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Complimentary coffee, tea etc.

The apartment has its own entrance, allowing you to come and go when you please.

Charming Bed and Breakfast annex situated in the pretty village of Manthorpe. The Old Bakehouse offers a spacious living room with fireplace (formally the Bakehouse oven!), bedroom with french doors framing a calming vista of the private garden area, and bathroom.
Within 15 minutes of the market town of Stamford, a short train journey to Cambridge, and with local landmarks such as Burghley House, this is the perfect space for a quiet getaway.

The space
Nestled in the centre of the quiet village of Manthorpe, with its own private entrance and parking. Consists of king size bedroom with french doors overlooking the private garden area perfect for enjoying those sunny days, bathroom and open living room with beamed high ceilings and a log burner to curl up by for those chilly winter nights. The space has been beautifully furnished to give a homely, country living feel, and also has spaces to set out a laptop should you have to work! We hope The Old Bakehouse offers everything you need for a relaxing, but practical, stay.

Guests will have exclusive access to the three rooms of the suite, adjoining our private property, with shared driveway and off-street parking behind the house, as well as a private entrance to the front of the house, with key safe and self check-in. There is a small step up to the front door, but the property is entirely on one ground floor.

Other things to note
The gardens and surrounding outbuildings are private, please respect this. We also have two Spaniels; they may welcome you when you arrive, they are very friendly!

Bourne is a lovely Market town with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants on your door step but is also only 10 miles away from Stamford, and has excellent transport links to Peterborough. We can recommend plenty of lovely walks or days out in the local area wich will all be in your welcome pack on arrival.
