Guests have private access to the entire house.
Ocean Beach is the unofficial capital of Fire Island and has the greatest number of restaurants and shops. Overflowing with a small-town charm reminiscent of a simpler time, main street walks are lined with mom-and-pop markets and boutiques. Local children sell painted shell souvenirs out of red wagons. Just outside of town, Ocean Beach walkways are lined with a mix of traditional summer cottages and modern houses. The house is perfectly located setback fromthe bay near the town and all that the town offers. Close to the life-guarded swimming area and waterfront playground with plenty of fun things for the kids to play on while you relax on one of the many benches or Gazebo, and enjoy the most spectacular view.
We are pet friendly andlove dogs, but you MUST ask before booking, as sometimes guests who are very allergic have booked after you and we need to ensure that we provide a safe space for them, too. Please provide information such as age, breed, weight, if it is house-trained, or crate-trained, how much barking to expect and for how long it will be left alone at a time.
This is a Beach House. There is no Central Heating but Space Heaters are provided, if there is a chill.
Above all else, we value your privacy and are happy with whatever level of interaction you wish.
No cars are permitted, so water taxis, walking and biking are the best ways to navigate the island.

Each of our suites has a king bed and a pull out couch, comfortably sleeping up to four guests. Guests have access to a full bathroom, kitchenette complete with a refrigerator, microwave, and cooktop, and a private deck overlooking the Great South Bay.
All suites will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized prior to arrival, and will be supplied with fresh linens and towels. Further housekeeping services are available throughout your stay upon request for an additional fee.

Our property includes 2 bedrooms (sleeps 5 adults) plus an over sized day bed in the living room (sleeps 6). There is a large deck with plenty of outdoor seating, grill and private outdoor shower. Upon request the second bedroom will be converted into a king size bed (see photos) The great room is perfect for dining and entertaining. This beach home is meticulously clean and fully stocked. There are very few rentals in the area that will live up to your expectations. This one will!

The kitchen is completely renovated and includes a brand new subzero refrigerator, top of the line new stainless steel appliances including a hot water tap pot filler over the stove. Fully stocked with plenty of plates, cups, cutlery and cooking utensils and accessories. The bedrooms were also renovated and include new beds, pillows, linens, bath and beach towels.

This is a shared property, other guests may be staying in another private, detached apartment. THERE ARE COMMON AREAS USED BY YOURSELF AND OTHER GUESTS.
There are lines of sight from adjoining homes and businesses FROM some of the exclusive areas TO yours and vice versa. The laundry is used by all guest and staff. Expect that you might encounter other guests or staff in COMMON areas. The location is at the edge of town, on the main street and normally fairly quiet, but Ocean Beach is a bustling summer community. Expect to hear occasional noise from nearby homes, businesses and streets.

There is no smoking indoors. Smoking in outdoor areas only please. The rental will be cleaned after your stay, new guests may be arriving at 3 pm. Before your departure the garbage must be taken out on the appropriate day. We would appreciate your vacuuming, mopping floors, wiping down countertops, microwave, shower sinks and wc. Please remove all food from refrigerator and freezer. . Please take all of your soaps, shampoos and other items from the shower and bathroom area. - "A friend and I rented the upper level of this lovely, Cherry Grove house. The house is right on the beach, set back with small pines and Dunedin the foreground and spectacular ocean views in the background - and visible from every room. We fell asleep and woke up to the sounds of the ocean surf and birdsong. We enjoyed meals on the outdoor deck, also with a view of the ocean. The house is well-appointed, with cheery decor, a fully stocked kitchen, extremely comfortable beds, satellite tv, internet, and central a/c (a rarity). (As an aside, this was probably the cleanest house we’ve ever rented.) We loved the open-plan layout of the living room, kitchen and dining area. The high ceilings and wrap-around windows take full advantage of the light and nature outside. The house was private enough to feel like a sanctuary, yet close enough to the best restaurants, shops, and town life when we wanted that. Cindy was extremely accommodating and responsive, whenever we had questions. We would definitely stay here again."

Cherry Grove is a unique and quaint location. Accessible only by a ferry "The Grove" offers luchest foliage, miles of endless beaches, and elevated boardwalks. Our house is only a 5 minute walk from the ferry and heart of town where you will find amazing restaurants, bars, ice cream shop, pizza, grocery, and liquor store. Take the beach chairs and umbrellas that we provide and walk 2 minutes to the beach. It is the perfect location to be away from the loud night life but close enough to walk to should you desire. Our house is a duplex, however, you have the entire upstairs to yourselves! Inside the gate you will find a large outdoor patio that is great for sunbathing and unwinding with private (non-shared) hot tub, outdoor lounge chairs, BBQ grill and an outdoor table and chairs with umbrella. When you walk in through the sliding glass door you are met with a cozy living, eat-in kitchen space, and kitchen, all with brand new flooring. In the living room is wood burning stove that can be utilized in the off season (April and May and September and October) to take the chill out. The living room has a TV with a fire stick for streaming. There is an air conditioner in this shared space for the in-season months.
The kitchen is complete with a refrigerator, stove, and all the basic cooking pots, pans, and utensils that you will need to cook. a home cooked meal. Walk into the hallway from the main area and you will find two bedrooms at opposite sides of the house. The first bedroom has a double bed, closet with ample closet space, TV, air conditioning, and ceiling fan. • We don't have many reviews because we are NEWBIES to VRBO. Home was newly-renovated with new furnishings, bedding and kitchen. Photos reflect current condition.

ABOUT OUR HOME:

We have 2 cozy and comfortable Bedrooms that sleep 6 comfortably (no sleeper couches, futons, etc.). Every bedroom has AC/heating and Fire Stick - Smart TV, WiFi throughout.

Our Newly Renovated Kitchen is fully-equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, Brita filter water pitcher and Keurig coffee Machine (we start you off with a few dozen pods so you don’t have to lug that big box over).

Kitchen: Feel free to use our full stocked cabinets: with dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, serving bowls and platters. We keep enough equipment for 8 people to dine comfortably. We also keep a small supply of cooking spices (salt & pepper), sugar packets & cooking oil for your convenience.

Family Room: Our spacious family room is an open floor concept with a comfy sofa and oversized TV - because who doesn’t like to lounge after a long day at the beach with your sun burn.

Dining Room: Table that fits up to 8 people. Great place to have a card game, enjoy a meal with family or read a book on the window bench.

All Seasons Room: Best room in the house! Our all-seasons room is outfitted with a Smart TV and sofa to enjoy your morning coffee, take a conference call or have a mid-day nap.
Our House provides a wagon to cart our beach chairs & umbrellas to the shore.

Although checkout is early on Sunday (11am), feel free to leave your luggage on our private deck and make the most of your last day on the island. You can use the outdoor shower to wash up for the ferry ride up until 2:00pm! We just ask that you check-out of the home by 11am to allow our cleaning crew access, please also note that the personal code for the house will deactivate at 11am just like a hotel key card would.

We include all the bed linens, bath towels, beach towels, and stock the bathrooms with a starter set of toilet tissue so you have less to bring with you.

We want you to feel at home here and make it easier for you to enjoy your vacation.

Guests interact with each other a lot. You are taking just one bedroom in a four-bedroom house, unless you decide to rent more than one. But on the other hand, you can completely do your own thing and no one will mind!

We do offer shorter stays of just two nights starting three weeks before an open date -- until that point, we have a minimum stay of five nights. This rental is not for everyone -- it's a homey, communal place to lay your head and maybe make some family friends. The home is an A-Frame house which is about 1500 sq feet inside and has two outdoor decks one out back one above the house. It is located in Ocean Beach, NY, 4 houses from the Atlantic Ocean, less than a 2 minute walk to the beach. We remodeled the home a few years ago and there are views of the ocean from the upper deck. The bathrooms offer great amenities such a Kohler Rain Shower to Jacuzzi tub/shower. It is a 10 minute walk into town where all the restaurants/shops and bars are located.

Fantastic oceanfront house is a double decker house and located steps to the beach. This house has ocean views from the deck and inside the house. Inside you will find 4 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms and an open concept dining and living space. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need. Mod 8 is a chic rustic cabin room a Horace Gifford designed compound. The verdant property is both secluded & convenient. The 1965 mid-century bedroom is 70 sq. ft. has a full bed. There is also a private compact 1/2 bath & a private outdoor shower. The space is stylish with an Eames chair & coatrack and a Arne Jacobsen chair.There is also a 40 sq. ft. private deck area. 3 night minimum holidays & 2 weekend.

The space
Pines pool house south room is a private room with it's own bathroom, a/c and mini fridge. It has access to the dining room, kitchen, and living room of the main house. Outside you have access to the pool deck, pool, outdoor shower as well our wonderful roof deck located atop the pool house which overlooks the great South Bay. Great spot to enjoy the sunrise and/or sunset. Also a wondefully serene place to relax day or night!

Guest access
Our property is located on the western end of the Pines. We're a short walk to the beach. And are pretty much equi-distant to both the Pines and Cherry Grove's commercial districts, where you will find the bars, shops, restaurants and markets.

During your stay
Our property is comprised of two structures, the main house and the pool house. It is secured with an automatic gate that is opened with your private code and a fence going around the entire perimeter. Between the vast deck, pool deck and roof top deck there is plenty of space to find a quiet area and relax , read or talk on the phone. Most guests enjoy getting to know each other hanging out in our beautiful pool or you can spend time with friends in the main house in the kitchen, dining room or living room. There you can have drinks, cook, bbq eat and just enjoy each other’s company!

We have an outdoor bbq and herb garden that guests are welcome to use at any time and we have a wonderful outdoor shower built into the trees, for you to enoy!

CLEANING SERVICES during your stay – Dune Point staff will not enter your unit during your stay. You will be provided with towels, linens, toiletries for the duration of your stay. Your room will be supplied with dishwasher liquid, sponge, broom, dustpan, toilet cleaning brush and plunger, disinfecting and cleaning supplies, paper towels (please do not dispose of paper towels or wipes in toilets). The space
We have eight Glamping sites and two tent sizes. Check with us to see what configurations are available for your dates. There are six platform tents that are 14 x 16 ft on 14 x 24 ft deck platforms (sites 2, 4, 5, 23, 24 and 26) . The other two sites are a 12 ft x 14 ft tent on a 12 ft x 22 ft deck platform (sites 22 and 25).

All sizes get the 8 ft extended rain fly creating covered porches with outdoor furniture 8 ft deep by 12 - 14 ft wide. The tents will have the mosquito netting option where the front and back sides roll up to allow airflow and light while keeping bugs out.

For bedding the, 14 x 16 ft tents will have two queen beds (memory foam mattresses). You may request up to six total guests in these tents with the addition of 2 Coleman Deluxe Camping Cots with covered foam pads for a small additional fee. The 12 x 14 ft tents will have one queen bed. You may request up to four guests in this size tent (up to 2 additional cots at no additional charge).

Every tent will come standard with clean bedding and sateen sheets (including the cots). There will be a dresser, a small makeup mirror and nightstands. Bath towels (not beach) will be provided. Two rechargeable LED lanterns will be provided. On the covered porch, two Adirondack style chairs and a large ice chest cooler will be provided. As with all campsites, there will also be a picnic table and charcoal BBQ grill available. Luxury packages are available where you'll find ice and beverages awaiting your arrival (call our General Store for more info). NOTE, the additional beds are cots not air mattresses and are comfortable.

Bathrooms and Showers are about 150 yards at Dune Station. There are mens and womens facilities. Showers are cold water. We provide bath towels soap, shampoo and conditioner.

LIfeguarded ocean beach is just over the dune boardwalk at Dune Station. Additionally, you access the Otis High Dune Wilderness at Dune Station, left to the east.
