- "We stayed one night and this hotel was awesome. First, they allow a 11:30 am check in which is rare. We were visiting friends so we dropped bags off and came back late night but it was convenient be able to do so. The room was immaculate and even though the bathrooms are shared, you get the full bathroom to yourself when you use it. The location is great just outside the ferry terminal. It’s very loud at night but we brought earplugs. Most importantly, staff are very friendly and held on to our bags until 2 pm the next day. They also offer coffee, fruits and pastry bites which was unexpected. In conclusion, well worth the money and I highly recommend. "

Paid parking is available at 99 Maple Ave. on the right for those arriving at the ferry terminal by car. The well-equipped kitchen will also make cooking a breeze; make sure to buy some groceries and goodies at the nearby Ocean Bay Park Market and surprise your guests with savory, full-course meals or quick beach snacks. Once mealtime is over, unwind on the deck that comes equipped with all-new beach chairs and umbrellas, or head back inside to snuggle up on the sofa and watch a fun movie on the smart TV with a refreshing beverage in hand. This home is only 1.5 blocks from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean, as well as mere steps from Fire Island SUP Co. - a one-stop shop for watersports lessons and parasailing, paddleboard, and tubing rentals. Seaview is a short five-minute walk away, while Ocean Beach is only a mile from you, giving you even more options while out and about. Spend hot summer days at Sunken Forest a 23-minute walk away, where you can enjoy some shade and take a ranger-led walk through the trees and dunes. After a gorgeous day on the sand, take your pick from the dozens of local restaurants to sate your appetite. Steps away in the neighborhood is Schooner's Inn, a restaurant and bar near the ferry while Flynn's Fire Island is a two-minute walk from you. Dino's on the Bay deli and Island Pantry are a bit further, but well worth the five-minute walk. Island Mermaid and Hideaway are also great dining options one mile away in Ocean Beach. Traveling five miles will take you to the Fire Island Lighthouse, where you can learn about the history of Fire Island and take a tour of the tower.
