- "The summer rush had not yet begun when I booked a five-night, mid-spring stay at the conveniently-located Sifting Sands Motel. On the day I was to check in, I alerted the front desk that I would be arriving after 8:00pm as the motel requested. Upon arrival, I was greeted by friendly, smiling Phyllis, who made sure I had extra blankets and enough necessities for my stay. The next day, another friendly, pleasant lady, Bea, was on the front desk. In addition to being a lovely person, Bea was knowledgeable and helpful. There was another nice lady, whose name, I think was Diane(?). Everyone was pleasant, efficient, friendly and kind. The room was very comfortable. I slept well on the queen-size bed. Everything was very clean and well-thought-out. My room was an efficiency and came equipped with kitchen sink (and dish detergent), stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine and coffee/with creamer, etc. In the cabinets there were cups, dishes and even a toaster. It's a 5 to 7-minute walk to the beach and boardwalk and a 5 to 7-minute walk in the other direction to the downtown shopping area. Restaurants can be found in the blocks all around the motel and lining the downtown district. I will be returning to Ocean City later in the summer and look forward to another pleasant experience at the Sifting Sands Motel."

This family-oriented building features a beautifully remodeled front lobby and spacious waiting area. Adjacent is a game room, small library, snack machines, and coin-operated laundry facilities. The building is safe and well-secured with video cameras (front lobby and building hallways), an FOB card to enter the building, a keypad to enter your room, and staffed front desk during the summer.

Bathroom is stocked with miniature shampoo and conditioners, and face soap and hand soap. Towels, washcloths, and toilet paper.

Parking is available next to the hotel (daily rates are generally between $10 to $20). There is both metered street parking on 8th street as well as free street parking located about 2 blocks from the hotel.

We are happy you have found our home. It's the perfect place for a seaside getaway! Minutes from the beach and boardwalk in the North End of Ocean City NJ. It is on the border of the Gardens with FREE street parking everywhere.

This home is located on the ground floor and has some VERY low ceilings. I do not recommend it for tall guests

We provide beach tags to access Ocean City beaches (4). They must be left at the property on the day of check-out.

This unit is on the ground floor with some very low ceilings. You have the whole ground floor of the house all to yourselves - not a shared space with other guests.

The loft is the 2nd floor of a duplex so you have private access to both the 2nd floor apartment and the fenced-in backyard and outdoor shower. In the rear of the property, via the alley, there is one (1) off-street parking space reserved for you. The other space is for the 1st floor tenant. More free parking is available along West Avenue. The walkway, along the side of the property, is shared and will take you past the 1 floor tenant's outdoor shower & their front deck. You do not have access to this shower, the front deck or the 1st floor apartment.
