Located in Ocean City, on the peaceful south end, this quiet 2nd floor at 54th & Simpson is conveniently located four blocks from the beach, two blocks from the 53rd street playground, basketball and hockey rink, four blocks to Ala Mode ice cream, Mallon’s sticky buns and other 55th street food options, two blocks from the Boardwalk Jitney stop, less than a mile from Corson’s Inlet State Park and just over the bridge from Strathmere restaurants.

A large south-facing 2nd floor deck is perfect for enjoying sunrise coffee or sunset refreshments. Both bedrooms have their own air conditioner and fan. The well-stocked efficiency kitchen/living area includes fridge, oven/stove, microwave, coffee maker, air conditioner, 40in Roku TV and wifi. There is a brand-new enclosed outdoor shower (shared with 1st floor) for after-beach rinse and covered storage area for stowing beach gear beneath the steps. NOTE: This is a 2nd floor property accessed by an outdoor staircase. See pix.

There is plenty of on-street parking.

First and Second floor can be rented together if both are free for larger family/group stays. (1st floor is a 2+1.5 with dining/den and enclosed porch - 1 queen, 1 double, 2 twins - with it's own entrance.)

Ocean City beaches require beach tags, which can purchased on the beach.
For those unfamiliar with Ocean City, New Jersey it is a "dry" island - alcohol can be brought on and consumed, but is not sold in stores or restaurants on the island. As a result Ocean City tends to be family oriented and very quiet at night. Strathmere, just over the 55th street bridge has "full service" restaurants, just minutes away. Atlantic City is 25 miles, about a 30 minute drive, north. The south end is the quietest end - the boardwalk is on the north end, and accessible by Jitney or car. Corson's State Park is great place to walk, birdwatch, fish or launch a boat or canoe/kayak.

This small island cottage is the perfect choice for small families or couples looking to get away without breaking the bank. Situated in a quiet neighborhood near the bay, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Ocean City’s great beaches and boardwalk.

WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT HERE: There’s fenced-in side and back yards with lawn furniture, and if parking on the street is hard to come by, you can fit up to 3 cars out back. Beach chairs and umbrella are stocked in the shed (just in case you forgot to shlep yours from home!)

LIVING ROOM: The living room and dining area are well lit thanks to west-facing windows that pour in the afternoon sun. An over-sized couch and chair are perfect for curling up with a good book or watching a movie after a long day at the beach. TV, DVD and wireless Internet are all available in the cottage.

KITCHEN: While it definitely won’t win any awards in the size department, the small kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, dishes, cups, utensils and everything else you need for a whipping up a quick breakfast for the kids before heading out to the beach in the morning, or serving up some take-out from one of the fabulous eateries in town. (Menus for many of them are in a drawer in the living room). The kitchen table seats up to 4 people, or you can move out to the dining area in the living room, where the table can be opened up to seat 6.

BED/BATH: The cottage has 3 bedrooms, one bathroom, and comfortably sleeps 6. On most evenings, the southerly breeze flowing through the house usually cools the day’s heat, but each bedroom does have its own window AC unit, as well as a wall unit in the living room. (There is also a ceiling fan in the living room, as well as in the middle bedroom). Each bedroom has a bureau, nightstand, and closet with hangers and hampers; we supply the bedspreads, pillows, mattress pads and blankets, but you will need to bring your own sheets, pillowcases and towels. If you need to run a quick load of laundry, there’s a washer and dryer just off the kitchen.

MEMORIES: Ocean City has been a part of our life for 3 generations. My grandparents owned an Italian restaurant and produce shop here in the 1920’s, and my parents lived in town much of their married life. I have very fond memories of growing up here, riding bikes around town, taking in concerts at the Music Pier, playing mini golf on the boardwalk, screaming on the rides at Wonderland Pier or Gillian’s Water Park, and of course… eating! Pizza at Manco-N-Manco’s, custard at Kohr Brothers, a giant crab cake at Dell’s, or brunch at Bob’s Grill or Oves’. I would like to share this wonderful island resort with you and your friends and family. Start making some new memories of your own (or maybe bring back a few from your childhood, too!)

This is a 2nd floor vintage cottage that sleeps four with a maximum of four people. It's a rear unit on 330 Ocean Ave. located just four blocks from the beach at Third and Ocean Ave.

The cottage has central air conditioning and heating, Wi-Fi/TV/Netflix, a living room/dining area, two bedrooms with wicker twin beds in one and a lovely antique full bed in the other, full bath with tub and shower. The kitchen is of yesteryear with a refrigerator, gas stove, farm sink, a beautiful vintage farm cabinet, microwave and coffee maker. It’s fully equipped for your cooking needs including the wine glasses for the evening. There is a small balcony for your relaxation and a shared, small yard with a picnic table and benches. An open, outdoor shower head is situated outside the yard's surrounding white fence to wash off after returning from the beach.

Check-in is 4:00-9:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. You provide your linens and towels. Beach tags are provided as part of the rental fee, but must remain at the cottage upon departure for the next guests. No smoking on the premises. $250.00 fee to be taken for cleaning of smoke from cottage.

The boardwalk and beach are just a short walk away. The bay is just a few blocks from the cottage to place your boat, if needed. There is a laundromat located roughly one block from the cottage. Positively 4th Street Cafe is around the corner as well, which has great food and atmosphere. Restaurants such as Mosaic, Cousins and Island Grill dot the corners close to the cottage. Downtown Ocean City is within walking distance and hosts over one hundred places to shop and eat.

It is a single house, but since the ground (or first, if you're American) floor is occupied by a garage it's more like a first (or second...) floor apartment. The location is excellent - a short walk to the beach but in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The Duchess of Dollhouse Row debuted for the 2024 Season on the barrier island of Ocean City, NJ known as America's Greatest Family Resort.

This beautifully renovated seashore cottage is one of ten historic and iconic "dollhouses" on Ocean City's Dollhouse Row. The Duchess was built in 1927 as a fisherman's cottage and was originally bay front. Today, take a one minute walk from the kitchen door to the bay or relax on the upper rear deck to catch amazing sunsets. The cottage is walking distance to an eight mile long life guarded beach and the famous family friendly Boardwalk. Corson's Inlet State Park has beautiful sand dunes and estuaries ideal for crabbing, hiking, fishing and kayaking. The cottage is also a short morning walk to coffee shops and bakeries. Shopping on Asbury Avenue is also close by and has a wonderful variety of shops.

The Duchess was built as a miniature version of the classic Dutch Colonial, an early architectural style very common in parts of the Netherlands, Germany and France. The Duchess is truly a fine example of this quaint and charming style. There are cottages on the island but nothing can compare to seeing ten dollhouses all in a row!

The two story cottage will provide you with a unique experience. It is an original tiny home! The secluded location is off the beaten path. Many locals aren't even aware of this quaint place! The open concept utilizes space efficiently. You will find it's all you need. The front porch entry is the perfect spot to relax under the shade of a rare Dutch Elm tree. Step inside and see the complete and beautiful renovation. The shiplapped living room is bright and sunny and leads to a cozy dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped and a cook's dream! There is a laundry and a full bath with a shower on the first floor. There also is an outdoor cedar shower. There is a mini split system that provides heat and AC to this floor. There is a natural gas fireplace located between the living and dining areas which heats the entire cottage in the fall and winter months without using the mini split.

The second floor is accessed by a carpeted staircase. Although narrow, it's easily navigated by the use of multiple teak handrails - the type you would see on a sailboat. Just go slow and take your time! It's best to bring backpacks or soft luggage to make it easier to get your belongings upstairs. At the top of the staircase you will find an open area with a half bath between front and rear bedrooms. The ceilings are pitched, opening up the space. The front bedroom has a more open concept and is divided by a partial wall for privacy. The rear bedroom has a door and also an exterior door that leads to the rear upper deck. Both bedrooms have queen beds and ceiling fans. This floor also has a mini split system that supplies heat and AC.

In days gone by, the charm of the shore was all about tiny cottages by the sea. Many of them have been demolished and replaced. Luckily some have survived! It is truly a unique experience to see how simple life can be in a tiny home. Time spent at the Duchess will take you back to a time when summer homes were truly cottages but now with all the modern amenities. - "We loved Elaine's Doll House. It is beautifully renovated and decorated. It is small but it has everything you need to enjoy your vacation. The street is very quiet and parking is right outside the house. The house is about 9 feet wide and very long. Along both sides of the walls have windows, so light isn't a problem. There are plenty of seatings and storage rooms. There is a full bath on this floor and a full kitchen. The ceiling is not your normal 8 feet but it is still plenty tall. We are 5 ft 4 in and 5 ft 11 in. and we felt fine in the house on both floors. The stairs curls. It is narrow and steps are small. Many handles are built in as you climb down or up. Upstairs to the right has a bedroom with closed doors. The bedroom has a private balcony where you can dry your swim suits. Upstairs to the left has an equal size bedroom with window facing the front. But this one doesn't have a door, if that is important to you. Upstairs has a half bathroom, with a toilet and sink. Surprisingly there are plenty of seatings on the second floor too. There is a small desk. Also it has plenty of storage. I highly recommend this amazing house for your vacation. PS on the first floor, the front windows have full blinds but the second half of the house the windows have only half blinds the along, so if privacy is important to you at night, then dim the light"

Also when I arrived the central air didn’t work upstairs so we had to put in the air conditioners ourselves. To be honest the house sleeps 11 but comfortable only 8. The beds felt like you were sleeping on plywood. Finally the outside grill also didn’t work. Despite these problems we still had a fun week and enjoyed the beautiful porch which is the houses best aspect!"

This is a 1st floor vintage cottage that sleeps two with a maximum of two people. It's a rear unit on 330 Ocean Ave. located just four blocks from the beach at Third and Ocean Ave.

The cottage has central air conditioning and heating, Wi-Fi/TV/Netflix, living room, kitchen/dining area, one bedroom with a wicker full bed and a bathroom with shower. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, gas stove, microwave and coffee maker. It's fully equipped for your cooking needs including the wine glasses for the evening. There is a small patio area for your relaxation and a shared, small yard with a picnic table and benches. An open, outdoor shower head is situated outside the yard's surrounding white fence to wash off after returning from the beach.

Check-in is 4:00-9:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. You provide your linens and towels. Beach tags are provided as part of the rental fee, but must remain at the cottage upon departure for the next guests. No smoking on the premises. $250.00 fee to be taken for cleaning of smoke from cottage.

The boardwalk and beach are just a short walk away. The bay is just a few blocks from the cottage to place your boat, if needed. There is a laundromat located roughly one block from the cottage. Positively 4th Street Cafe is around the corner as well, which has great food and atmosphere. Restaurants such as Mosaic, Cousins and Island Grill dot the corners close to the cottage. Downtown Ocean City is within walking distance and hosts over one hundred places to shop and eat.

It is a very unique two story cottage-style apartment, where two studio apartments are connected with an indoor spiral staircase. The 2nd floor of the unit is set up with a combination kitchen, eating area, and adult sleeping area. The kitchen also contains a combo clothes washer/dryer. The 1st floor is set up with a sleeping area for the kids and a TV / couch hangout spot for some lounging. The main draw of this property is not its size, but the short walk to the beach. Parking can be difficult in OC during the warmer months, so the off-street parking spot and personal outdoor shower this property offers ensures a hassle-free beach going experience.
