A large south-facing 2nd floor deck is perfect for enjoying sunrise coffee or sunset refreshments. Both bedrooms have their own air conditioner and fan. The well-stocked efficiency kitchen/living area includes fridge, oven/stove, microwave, coffee maker, air conditioner, 40in Roku TV and wifi. There is a brand-new enclosed outdoor shower (shared with 1st floor) for after-beach rinse and covered storage area for stowing beach gear beneath the steps. Ocean City beaches require beach tags, which can purchased on the beach.
For those unfamiliar with Ocean City, New Jersey it is a "dry" island - alcohol can be brought on and consumed, but is not sold in stores or restaurants on the island. As a result Ocean City tends to be family oriented and very quiet at night. Strathmere, just over the 55th street bridge has "full service" restaurants, just minutes away. Atlantic City is 25 miles, about a 30 minute drive, north. The south end is the quietest end - the boardwalk is on the north end, and accessible by Jitney or car. Corson's State Park is great place to walk, birdwatch, fish or launch a boat or canoe/kayak.

Smoking detection monitors inside the unit. $300 smoke remediation deep clean charge for damages, immediate cancellation and guest removal from property. Smoking is permitted outside in designated areas 5ft away from all entrances. Must discard any used substrates in provided outposts.

• No events, no house parties, no after prom/senior week rentals, or bachelor/ bachelorette parties. Any unauthorized event or party is grounds for immediate cancellation of reservation, authority involvement and physical removal of guest’s and their property from the premises. Zero tolerance. Very strict.

• Quiet hours 10PM to 8AM. City of Brigantine noise ordinance. Decibel detection monitors located inside the premise required. Violation of noise ordinances will be met with a friendly warning. If warnings are not recognized or there is failure to respond immediately, the host reserves the right to immediately cancel the reservation according to cancelation policy. This may escalate to authority involvement and/or physical removal of guest’s and their property from the premises.

• Beach sand must be removed by outside shower or hose prior to entry.

• All guests are encouraged to purchase travelers insurance. Please read cancelation policy.

HOUSE:
The House is a 3-bedroom, 2 baths (+outdoor shower) one block from the Beach. It has a fenced-in yard, breezy and spacious screened-in porch, garage, and private parking space.

Our house is a one-floor beach bungalow, and all three bedrooms are conveniently located on one level yet conveniently spaced out for privacy. The Master has a queen bed and can fit a crib, the second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has a trunk bed: twin over full, plus a full-size futon.
We also have a sleeper sofa in the living room. In addition to the full bathrooms, we also have an outdoor shower available from May through October located right outside the garage entrance.

Indoors: Central air, washer/dryer, fully stocked kitchen, brand new beds, new furniture, and beach decor. Smart TVs, wifi, board games, and reading material for the unfortunate rainy days!
Linens and towels provided.

The Duchess of Dollhouse Row debuted for the 2024 Season on the barrier island of Ocean City, NJ known as America's Greatest Family Resort.

This beautifully renovated seashore cottage is one of ten historic and iconic "dollhouses" on Ocean City's Dollhouse Row. The Duchess was built in 1927 as a fisherman's cottage and was originally bay front. Today, take a one minute walk from the kitchen door to the bay or relax on the upper rear deck to catch amazing sunsets. The cottage is walking distance to an eight mile long life guarded beach and the famous family friendly Boardwalk. Corson's Inlet State Park has beautiful sand dunes and estuaries ideal for crabbing, hiking, fishing and kayaking. The cottage is also a short morning walk to coffee shops and bakeries. Shopping on Asbury Avenue is also close by and has a wonderful variety of shops.

The Duchess was built as a miniature version of the classic Dutch Colonial, an early architectural style very common in parts of the Netherlands, Germany and France. The Duchess is truly a fine example of this quaint and charming style. There are cottages on the island but nothing can compare to seeing ten dollhouses all in a row!

The two story cottage will provide you with a unique experience. It is an original tiny home! The secluded location is off the beaten path. Many locals aren't even aware of this quaint place! The open concept utilizes space efficiently. You will find it's all you need. The front porch entry is the perfect spot to relax under the shade of a rare Dutch Elm tree. Step inside and see the complete and beautiful renovation. The shiplapped living room is bright and sunny and leads to a cozy dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped and a cook's dream! There is a laundry and a full bath with a shower on the first floor. There also is an outdoor cedar shower. There is a mini split system that provides heat and AC to this floor. There is a natural gas fireplace located between the living and dining areas which heats the entire cottage in the fall and winter months without using the mini split.

The second floor is accessed by a carpeted staircase. Although narrow, it's easily navigated by the use of multiple teak handrails - the type you would see on a sailboat. Just go slow and take your time! It's best to bring backpacks or soft luggage to make it easier to get your belongings upstairs. At the top of the staircase you will find an open area with a half bath between front and rear bedrooms. The ceilings are pitched, opening up the space. The front bedroom has a more open concept and is divided by a partial wall for privacy. The rear bedroom has a door and also an exterior door that leads to the rear upper deck. Both bedrooms have queen beds and ceiling fans. This floor also has a mini split system that supplies heat and AC.

In days gone by, the charm of the shore was all about tiny cottages by the sea. Many of them have been demolished and replaced. Luckily some have survived! It is truly a unique experience to see how simple life can be in a tiny home. Time spent at the Duchess will take you back to a time when summer homes were truly cottages but now with all the modern amenities. Come and see how beautiful and creative a small space can be at the Jersey Shore!

- "We loved Elaine's Doll House. It is beautifully renovated and decorated. It is small but it has everything you need to enjoy your vacation. The street is very quiet and parking is right outside the house. The house is about 9 feet wide and very long. Along both sides of the walls have windows, so light isn't a problem. There are plenty of seatings and storage rooms. There is a full bath on this floor and a full kitchen. The ceiling is not your normal 8 feet but it is still plenty tall. We are 5 ft 4 in and 5 ft 11 in. and we felt fine in the house on both floors. The stairs curls. It is narrow and steps are small. Many handles are built in as you climb down or up. Upstairs to the right has a bedroom with closed doors. The bedroom has a private balcony where you can dry your swim suits. Upstairs to the left has an equal size bedroom with window facing the front. But this one doesn't have a door, if that is important to you. Upstairs has a half bathroom, with a toilet and sink. Surprisingly there are plenty of seatings on the second floor too. There is a small desk. Also it has plenty of storage. I highly recommend this amazing house for your vacation. PS on the first floor, the front windows have full blinds but the second half of the house the windows have only half blinds the along, so if privacy is important to you at night, then dim the light"

- "I had a wonderful week long stay. The house was adorable but listing pictures were very deceiving. The upstairs twin bed bedroom looks nothing like it’s pictures. Also when I arrived the central air didn’t work upstairs so we had to put in the air conditioners ourselves. To be honest the house sleeps 11 but comfortable only 8. The beds felt like you were sleeping on plywood. Finally the outside grill also didn’t work. Despite these problems we still had a fun week and enjoyed the beautiful porch which is the houses best aspect!"

Small cottage with 1 bedroom with a queen bed, small porch bedroom with twin bunk bed, 1 full couch pull out bed in living room (privacy curtain in closet is easy to hook up), You must bring your own sheets, pillowcases, and towels (not provided). There is a 50' TV in the living room and 32 " TV in the main bedroom. All areas have AC and several fans to use if needed. 1 bathroom and walk in shower in the house (1 outside shower for after the beach). Have some outside seating also for around fire pit. Trampoline to use at own risk. House is set back away from the roads.

Small place, but nice and near quiet neighbors. Not a spot for loud partying. Travel to the very small room with bunk bed (finished porch) is through the main bedroom or out a separate door to the outside. The living room has a curtain that can easily be hung for some privacy when the couch bed is pulled out. The bathroom is small, but also has a walk-in shower besides the outside shower. Ceiling fans in main bedroom and living room.

Enjoy a slow morning or dinner al fresco on the tree lined private front porch with a full dining set and conversation set on the opposite end. Roller shades are available to shield the afternoon sun - you'll also catch beautiful skies during evening sunsets.

The bathroom offers a full tub for bathing littles with updated modern tile. Turkish cotton 600gsm bath linens are provided.

All queen beds have 400 thread count cotton linens and crisp white quilts.
The master bedroom offers a nightstand with charging station and the 2nd bedroom has QUEEN bunk beds that are suitable for adults or kids. (please note we've had adults sleep in the top bunk with no problem but suggest caution due to 7" ceilings- one may come in contact with the ceiling. )

The kitchen is FULLY equipped for all your cooking needs and coffee lovers can choose from a Keurig (organic k cups provided), drip coffee or a French press. If you're in the mood to grill, you may use the Weber grill in the communal yard.

3 beach tags, 2 beach chairs, an umbrella and a wagon to carry beach gear and/or 2 toddlers are provided.
2 (older but working!) bikes are available for use upon request. *Note beach towels are not provided.

• Beach Tags: As a courtesy, we start our season with 3 seasonal badges. guests will incur a replacement fee of $40 per beach tag.
Beach tags are not needed for those under 12yrs old or in the off-season

•The Top bunk in the second bedroom has a maximum weight of 350lbs per bunk. Use caution when in the top bunk due to 7' ceilings.

• There is a staircase leading into the unit right off of the dining area (see photo) which we do provide a gate for but parental guidance is always advised

Welcome to Salty Air Cottage! Located a short walk to the beach, this cozy retreat is full of vintage Jersey Shore charm.

This home has been beautifully decorated and furnished with an eye toward comfort and relaxation. The house is charming, clean, and in excellent condition.

Four bedrooms and one full bath are upstairs. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and closet. Two bedrooms have a queen bed. The other two bedrooms have two twin beds each. The back queen bedroom leads to a roof deck.

The utility room off the kitchen has a new HE washer and dryer. A second bath with shower is on the ground floor. Out back you'll find a sunny patio with seating for 6. There is a driveway space for 1 car and plenty of street parking. On the driveway side of the house, there is an enclosed outdoor shower with running hot and cold water for washing off after the beach. There is Wifi and Comcast Cable with local channels plus HBO. The living room has a smart TV so you can bring your own Netflix, Roku, Comcast, Amazon, or HBO account with you.

6 beach tags are provided for your use as well as two beach chairs. We offer games, puzzles, books and the kitchen is fully stocked!
