This is the perfect home away from home for all your Girdwood adventures. After a long day of skiing, hiking, mountain biking, or fishing, come relax next to the fire place, or take a dip in the new hot tub! We are on a large corner lot, easy to find, yet secluded. Peek-a-boo mountain views from all the front windows allow you to check out the mountain conditions. The chalet is roughly .5 miles from the resort. Its up hill on the way to the resort, so skiing home would be a breeze. Just a short drive brings you to the impressive cross country skiing trail system, in case downhill just isn't your thing. Alyeska has recently opened up an extensive mountain biking trail system for you summer adventurers. There are ample hiking trails in the area, including Winner Creek, a favorite of mine. Girdwood is a great middle ground to explore towns south of Anchorage as well! A short 25 miles south is the town of Whittier, highly recommended for fishing or a sight seeing tour of Prince William Sound, which offers an abundance of marine life in the summer months. Orcas, Humpbacks, otters, and birds to name a few. Keep driving south and you'll find yourself in Seward, Kenai, Soldotna, and Homer.

There is ample seating at the kitchen island and a large table in the dining area. The Tv is visible from all three locations and conversation can be easily had. The chalet bungalow is located at the base of the Chugiak Mountains. This gives you unprecedented access to close by trails, water falls, shooting ranges, and much more. There is a large field, within walking distance, for sledding during the winter from the house. We have received many compliments on large picture windows in the front that has made it a great place to telecommute from. The Mat-Su valley is about 20 min away to unlimited lakes, hiking, restaurants and more shopping.
You can day trip to pretty much the entire road system and can reach areas such as Fairbanks, Valdez, McCarthy and Homer (4-6hrs). Closer by is Big Lake, Sutton, Copper Center, Seward, Kenai, Coopers landing, and much more (1-3hrs). I will be messaging you during your stay to let you know of events or opportunities that are available. If you make a reservation you can always Map the property to get a better view of it's location and surrounding features. We have a pretty flexible cancelation policy so it's okay if you change your mind or something comes up.

Our lodge sits along the banks of the world famous Kenai River. With tons of space for large groups or families. It offers 2 large bedrooms, 2 living room spaces, 2 full bathrooms, a private loft area, full kitchen and dinning room. This home can sleep up to 16 people. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings while fishing from our two fishing decks, offering over 85 feet of shared fishing space for all guests, or launch your boat directly from the property for private river access. The large outdoor patio area can be used for your entertainment. Have a BBQ or afternoon fire while you relax and enjoy the river views. A sun room that allows even more opportunity to get in touch with nature.

There are a total of 5 units on the property. The home is private and situated closest to the river. There are four other units in a large building situated just behind the home. The fishing decks and river banks are all shared space for all guests to use.

Cozy ,stand alone, 2 bedroom unit. 7 single beds so the kids wont fight and you don't have to snuggle with your fishing buddy! Amazing view of the snow capped mountains , the bay and the Spit. Enjoy your dinner or morning coffee on the deck, or grill up your fish on the BBQ grill on the deck. There are stairs to climb to get to the unit.

Do not book for 2 and show up with 4 without changing the reservation or contacting us first. No locals renting the place for a party.
There is plenty of parking available for regular vehicles. If you need to park a large trailer, boat, or other pull-behind, please let us know so we can make accommodations.
