This is a basic cabin, nothing fancy with just the bare essentials. Enjoy the peaceful neighborhood, one bedroom cabin, a bathroom equipped with just an RV/boat head style toilet.

In the bedroom is a full-sized bed and the small kitchenette is basic but with a large refrigerator. Enjoy a full sized bathroom as well.

A short drive away from the cabin is a laundromat, grocery store and everything else you might need.

The space
A small cabin with the bare necessities in a quiet wooded neighborhood. There is a large TV mounted in the living room to play your own media or Netflix if you have wifi from your phone or a personal hotspot as there is no internet in the cabin at this time.

We'd like to mention once more that the toilet in the cabin is not your typical home toilet, it is an RV style cassette toilet as the home does not have a septic system or sewer. Some people prefer standard home amenities, but if you don't mind this style cabin living, you will love this comfortable place! For this reason as well as the heaters and outdoor area, this options is not suitable for small children as listed.

The heater options are propane and electric and they could potentially pose a burn hazard as well as fire if children are roaming or if you are not attentive.

Within 2-3 miles is a laundromat, grocery store, gas stations, Santa Clause's House and much more!

The house is situated off the main path, but just about 100 yards from the main road. As you access the home a short portion of the road is sometimes unmaintained. Just to keep this in mind during breakup or really rainy seasons for you vehicle access. Any car can do it, but in really bad conditions 4x4 can make it easier.

Other things to note
There is a large refrigerator and a small kitchenette with a microwave, dishes and two part sink. There is a pellet smoker grill available outside. Please ask if you are not familiar with these and please use it safely away from the home. The firepit also may not be usable depending on seasonal restrictions due to wildfires.

The property is not far off the main road, but it is about 100 yards of dirt road to the driveway. Seasonally there can be heavy snow on the road making it difficult for some vehicles to pass, or during breakup it can become very slushy or wet requiring all wheel drive.

Again, please note the section about the style of toilet and the fact that the home is heated with propane and electric, so please be mindful of the heaters and do not move or place anything combustible near them while they are on. You may adjust any of the heaters levels to your preference, but in the winter when you leave please make sure at least one is left on low so as not to let the house freeze! :)

This is a lovely escape DRY cabin with two floors. There is electricity. The cabin is about 3 miles from the Kenai River. This is a fisherman's paradise during salmon season.

Neighborhood borders the Kenai National Wildlife refuge. Nearly 2M acres of wilderness. Wildlife is abundant in this area. Hunters could easily basecamp out of the cabin and access the wildlife refuge from one of the many trails off of Funny River Road.

The cabin does not have a water source. Water can be picked up in Soldotna. We do provide water jugs for transport.

The toilet flushes to the septic system, however you have to add water to the tank to flush.

We provide a generator for solar backup. We also provide gas and oil for the generator.

We do not provide bedding/linens or towels. Please bring your own. Think of this as a glamping experience with a warm dry cabin wth electricity and kitchen.

The space
With just under 800 sqft there’s plenty of space to move around.
Upon entering you step into the kitchen/ dining room.
The kitchen is fully stocked so that you can cook your meals
Including some spices.
There’s a Keurig, French coffepress, and drip.
I provide coffee, tea, cocoa, water and more…
Step down into a sitting /TV room with a love seat and a futon couch which makes into a queen bed, smart tv and a great movie selection .
The bathroom is next to the tv room with a walk-in corner shower, sink and toilet.
Upstairs there’s a large bedroom with a very cozy built in california king bed and a beautiful large built in desk.
I have pool towels for visiting the hot springs.
There are bathroom amenities like shampoo, rinse, body wash, Q tips, hair dryer.
Extra tooth brushes if you forget and more...

There is off street parking in front of the cabin.

Other things to note
Please be aware that in the wintertime when the temperatures drop well below freezing,
(up to -40)
there is potential for the pipes to freeze which means that the shower and or sinks may not work for a period of time.
We do our best to rectify this .
It’s only happened a few times and I can usually have it thawed out within two hours or less.

Built in 1946, this cottage has rustic décor with contemporary amenities, every corner of this home is crafted for your comfort. Fast Wi-Fi for those who need to do zoom calls while visiting. Kitchen has stove, microwave, fridge, oven and plenty of space for longer term stays. Amazing water pressure in the shower. Super comfy mattress and a sleeper sofa for extra travelers.

Access to the cottage is via keypad so all hours locked access is available for travelers coming in late.

5 uniquely decorated cabins serve as your base for all your Alaska fun! Each cabin is 500 sq feet and has a small kitchen, bath with tile shower, one bedroom and a sleeping loft. Kenai river access for fishing a short walk from your cabin. 13 acres allows for the chance see wildlife from your porch while having coffee from the Keurig coffee maker. We also have 6 RV sites with full hookups. Dry camping. Laundry cabin with coin op washers and dryers. It also has an extra bath with 2 Showers.

The Lone Moose Lodge Alaska cabins are about 500 sqft. Cabins in Alaska are generally small. Most activities are outside and the outdoors becomes an extension of your space. Each cabin has unique decorations as well as different bed layouts. We have 5 cabins.

Guest access
Access to community fire pit and picnic tables, river access for fishing. Fishing supply's are available to rent including hip waders. We also have a freezer room to freeze your catch after it is packaged.

Other things to note
Cabins in Alaska are generally very small. Most activities are outside and the outdoors becomes an extension of your space. The porch is large. To maximize space while traveling around Alaska it is recommended that you keep luggage to a minimum. Soft sided luggage packs in rental cars and the small planes used to fly around Alaska much easier. A backpack is recommended for day excursions. Airbnb does not allow parties or events in the cabin. Our water is well water and is tested safe. It will have a sulphur smell sometimes.
