If you want to experience a tropical paradise, a freeform botanical garden that is exclusivly yours, no other guests. The owners are on a separate 1.2 acres, on the same road. You will be staying in a custom log home, natural breathing wood, brought from Finland. Poisons are never used, no chemicals for the past 17 years that we have been here. If you love nature, please come. If being near this kind of plant diversity, with its wonderful, inspiring vistas is an important feature for this trip, please come.

Hot tub is maintained with clean rainwater and an ozoneator. An experience very different from chlorinated tubs. Such a pleasure relaxing, while watching the milky way, shooting stars ( in season) or the different phases of the moon.

25 min from Paia, which has the best food store in the State, Mana Foods, many restaurants, galleries and stores and 20 min. from Makawao with it’s many galleries, restaurants and stores.

- "This is a great place to "get away from it all". Very peaceful and secluded. It is a little piece of jungle paradise. The hosts, Jette and Steve, are very nice people and very accomodating. I would definitely recommend this place to others." - "Property was beautiful with all the amenities you need for a great time. - "." - "We stayed in the house for 2 nights while visiting Volcano national park. Very close to the park which is very convenient to go at night to see lava after dark." - "Be aware the furniture has changed since the pictures were taken. The recliner is gone, and the sofa has changed. The bedrooms look different as well. I was surprised to find things a bit more 'shop worn' than the pictures would have you believe, but we found we were comfortable. The oven doesn't work, despite the listing stating one is present. This wasn't a problem for us, but the listing should be updated to reflect this if the oven isn't fixed/replaced. Small fridge is fine for a few nights, but wouldn't be a problem for longer stays. What sets this listing apart is the location. I have never stayed in a location that felt so remote, and yet we were literally minutes from the National Park! Nighttime was blissfully dark and quiet. The hot tub was wonderful. No words really, it is just a magical location. There are portable heaters, but we found we didn't need them in May. Night was pleasantly cool. The perfect location for couples. Might be less ideal for families. No problems with check-in, and owner responded promptly to my questions. Overall I do recommend this property and would definitely stay again."
