Snow plowing on neighborhood roads is provided by local vendors and intermittent. Cottonwood Lodging does not have control over plowing. DO NOT TAKE UBERS OR LYFTS TO THIS PROPERTY. Plan to check in by 8pm to avoid unplowed roads if it is storming and note that this home can accommodate ONLY 2 vehicles preferrably parked in the garage so plowing can occur easily.

Our chalet is very close to the Clubhouse and located a short 1-minute walk to the tennis courts, two pools (1 heated year round except during Spring and Fall shoulder seasons), and large hot-tub. You can walk to the Canyons' Cabriolet (known as the 'People Mover') or take one of the FREE and frequent shuttles to the Canyons' lifts (we're at the base), Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort or Historic Main Street.

The Big Cottonwood Cabin, minutes from Solitude and Brighton ski resorts in the heart of the famous Wasatch Range, and a short drive to Alta and Snowbird, is a unique hand-crafted log home built in 1997 by a Master Craftsman. Furnishings include many original rustic log creations, each one a piece of art. Four bedrooms have queen beds, and the fifth has a bunk bed with full bed on bottom and twin bed on top.

The Altabird Chalet is perched between Alta and Snowbird. Just a short free shuttle ride to Alta Ski Area, and a short free shuttle ride and ski to Snowbird. It offers stunning panoramic views of the entire breadth of Little Cottonwood Canyon from Patsy Marley to Mt. Superior and beyond. Designed by a lifelong Alta resident to take full advantage of sun, snow, and views with windows and skylights, the Altabird Chalet is a welcoming environment perfect for multi-family ski vacations.

It has six bedrooms each with its own bathroom and full closet, and a newly renovated kitchen fully equipped for the modern chef. Kitchen/dining design makes for quality group interaction while preparing and enjoying meals and hosting apres-ski. Kitchen doubles as a crow's nest.

The living room layout makes for a perfect gathering place. In addition, the den downstairs provides kids with a separate hang-out area. Both rooms have TVs and media centers.

The Altabird Chalet is a home away from home. Its comfortable cozy decor makes for a great place to stay whether you are coming in from a full day skiing/boarding, or taking a day off. You can x-country ski and snowshoe out the door or enjoy soaking in the view from the private outdoor hot tub.

**Vehicles are required to have AWD with SNOW TIRES.
**Google maps will want to bring you to the lower parking lot entrance. Avoid that. The main entrance is through the large green garage door located off the main highway just before Gate E. The kitchen is on this level. There's an extra fridge in the garage.
**You'll want to get supplies before coming up the canyon. Smith's grocery store is good. They have a *click list* you can order online and pick up. I would go to the one on 3300 S. off of the belt route I-215 heading east to the ski areas. There's a state liquor store nearby.

They are more than happy to help with transportation organization, hiring personal chefs or anything else that might make your trip more enjoyable.

Float down the Provo River in inner tubes and visit the state and national parks and Bridal Veil Falls nearby. Rent bicycles at White Pines Touring nearby, located right on the famous Rail Trail off street paved bike trail. Park City has many miles of safe and scenic bike trails, hiking trails, mountain bike trails with easy access bike rentals.

The Red Fern Chalet is a beautiful hand crafted custom built ski home with 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 1 full kitchen, open fire places, a number of decks and balconies including a mountain deck with a hot tub, a private parking space for two vehicles. This makes the house perfect for a big family or large group.

The Red Fern is located between world famous powder ski resorts of Alta and Snowbird with incredible panoramic mountain views, particularly from the main deck. The resort enjoys incredible skiing conditions year in, year out with an average of about 50 feet of snow per annum over that last 10 years (that's more than 14 metres).

In the Summer months it's a stunningly beautiful, creekside location and an ideal base for hiking, climbing, camping and all other outdoors pursuits that Utah State has to offer.

At any time of the year, the Red Fern is a terrific environment to unwind. It has been furnished with comfort and cosiness in mind and does not have that 'rental property' vibe. The Red Fern is generously equipped with an extensive library, hundred of games, and an amazing entertainment system reaching every room and living area. The kitchen is fully equipped for the most ambitious chef.

Rion is our caretaker, an old timers at the Alf Engen Ski School. If you need a good guide and want to cut the long lift lines at Alta or Snowbird you can hire Rion through the Alta Ski Shcool. Rion lives in a seperate caretaker apartment in the house. He is there to make your stay as fun and carefree as possible. He knows the resort as well as anyone and will be happy to help you with any questions or queries from booking a chef or a masseur or a restaurant, to introducing you to Dr Ken at the Alta Clinic if you get bitten by an Alta snow snake and twist a knee. He can arrange transport from the airport or into Salt Lake for excursions, food shop for your arrival and organise housecleaning, all depending on how exactly you want and enjoy it.

Canyons transport will pick you up at the building and take you all around the Canyons Ski resort for free. You can also catch Park City Transit at the lower lift of the Canyons Ski resort, which will take to other ski resorts in Park City, downtown Park City and the outlet mall. All new wood floors throughout unit, washer dryer, new appliances, new mattress, and rock gas fireplace. Includes linens, cookware, full kitchen, microwave, and access to two heated swimming pools, hot tubs, and sauna. Plenty of parking in front of the unit.

Unit overlooks the Canyons Golf Course hole #12. Beautiful landscape around unit. Unit is on the backside of development, which provides better views of the mountains. I own the unit, and I stay in my unit every chance I can get. It has been decorated and is equipped to feel very homey and cozy. I have many repeat visitors!!

- "It was great" - "We enjoyed our stay. It's walking distance to the Cabriolet (or you can drive). We were there while there was quite a bit (4 or 5 feet) of snow, and they did a great job of keeping the parking lot plowed. The unit was very comfortable, and I would definitely stay there again! Great response time from the owner." - "My husband and I and our adult son stayed here in March for 4 nights while we skiied at Park City. The condo had everything we needed and really was within walking distance to get to the gondola that goes to the chairlifts. It also has a pretty view, which I ended up enjoying while watching TV and laying on the sofa after injuring my knee the first day skiing! We cooked our breakfasts and one supper and got groceries from a nearby Whole Foods. There was a nice variety of cooking pans, dishes etc. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable. Our son slept on the sofa sleeper which was comfortable once we located the foam topper to put on it. The bathroom set up is nice with 2 different sink areas that have doors to the toilet/tub/shower room. This was a perfect set up for us. The owner, Marnie responded promptly to emails and answered the phone right away when we were trying to find dishwasher detergent. The fireplace makes it cozy and provides heat for the main area. The glass front though does need a cleaning on the inside. The only thing we missed (unless we didn't see it) is a welcome notebook that would give more directions and suggestions like places to eat, how to get to the pool/hot tub, where to find the walking path to the gondal etc. My son and husband really enjoyed the skiing at Park City and I hope after rehabing my knee I can join them again for a repeat stay!"
