- "Nice cabins, extremely cold though as our heater was not working. If you plan to stay here, consider bringing a space heater or extra fire wood in case. Otherwise very charming. " - "My husband and I were only able to stay for one night and I wish it has been longer! The cabins were small but quaint, the staff were friendly and personable, and the lack of cell service/reliable internet was refreshing. The beds were very comfortable and the surrounding area was nice and quiet at night. We also found a fun walking trail by the river! The cabins were not airtight, which was not a problem for me, but some people may not appreciate the bugs being able to come inside."

- "We had a very lovely stay. Firewood was $13 a bag but very accessible at the shop nearby The heater worked very well even in the rainy cool evening. We were warm all night. My only complaint was there was a large gap under the door where bugs can get in. There was a large spider inside that I would imagine more would get in as it got nicer. " - "Great place! - "Friendly and very helpful staff. Good location close to skytrek park, very clean amenities." - "We enjoyed our stay 100%, the employees are so nice, the facilities were kept clean. The bathrooms are a little far from the cabins we rented, but that wasn't a deal breaker for us. They have a little general store, which has almost anything you might of forgot at home. They have a community outdoor kitchen were you can BBQ your supper or microwave your food. Pots/pans/utensils, etc. available there, with a outdoor sink were you can wash everything and pack it back up if you brought your own like we did. We stayed in 1 of the 4 cabins they have out there. The cabins were small, but great for us since there was just the 2 of us staying there. They had 3 beds, so could fit up to 6 people. Its great if you are just using them to sleep in, and the beds were comfy!! Extra bonus in my books haha. They also had a lot of lots for campers/RV's or even tents. The lots were nice and grassy, each one had a above ground fire pit. In general, just a great place!!! We can't wait to come back some day :D"

- "We had a fantastic evening at the property! We were driving home from Vancouver and needed an affordable option to break up the trip home. I was excited when I found Rocky Mountain Bunkies. Upon arrival we were greeted and welcomed. We cooked up some burgers on the provided BBQs. The kitchen had everything we needed. Spent some time playing some of the games including scrabble and outdoor large scale checkers. All of the staff were super helpful and made us feel at home, especially the managers. We were informed that there was a last minute cancellation so we were upgraded to one of the cabins which had all the amenities. We were able to borrow DVDs for free from the office and enjoyed a couple movies in the extremely comfortable bed. Slept like a dream and checked out right before 11 but they do have late checkout for a small fee. We will most definitely be back in the future and plan to bring our friends. Thank you to the staff for the hospitality! "

The directions to get in were easy, the place was clean, and we slept 4 pretty comfortably. Little tight, but we were expecting that. The only noteworthy item is that there is a separate flat upstairs that has a separate family…this was in the listing but we missed it so be aware. We got lucky with our neighbors. Overall neighborhood felt very safe and it was fun watching the boats. We had a seal mom and pup that would swim by every evening once the sun went down which was quite entertaining for us. From there you are 15 minutes from Fort Point Museum, artisans, distilleries, wineries, and one of our favourite places to eat, the La Have Bakery. From the Bakery, hop on the cable ferry toward the East side where you will find yourself closer to Oven’s Provincial Park, Lunenburg (a world UNESCO Heritage site), and the charm of the Lunenburg’s surrounding areas. On either side of the river, you’re on Nova Scotia’s Lighthouse Route where you’ll find Nova Scotia’s most popular and sandy beaches. Drive 20 minutes along the river’s west side to find Risser’s Beach, our largest lifeguarded family friendly beach, Crescent Beach, a drive-on beach with sprawling sand, and Green Bay Beach, a rustic coastline with charming places to explore. Drive 20 minutes along the river’s east side to find Hirtle’s Beach, a sandy and surfing haven, and Gaff Point, the best hiking adventure in the area. In Bridgewater you'll find the Centennial trail, an 8 km long hiking / biking trail running through the town.
If staying closer to home is more your speed, enjoy the fire pit, kayaks (2), SUP (2) or sit on the cottage’s deck and watch the river activities, fish or just soak up the sun.
Ketch Cottage is a 420 plus square foot floating cottage with a dormered loft bedroom and a secondary reading loft. The cottage includes one ¾ bathroom with shower, sink, and an electric marine toilet. The open concept main floor has a basic kitchen including a full-size fridge, sink, microwave, and 2 induction burners, and the living room has seating for four, a sofa bed, air conditioning, and a TV equipped with Bell FibreOp and movie channels. Outside, you can BBQ under the covered porch or relax on the attached 380 square foot deck.
- "A wonderful place to find peace and tranquility." - "Had a great 4 night stay at Ketch cottage and hated to leave...very relaxing on the water and also got a boat ride down the LaHave river with Gordon Thursday evening. Read our books, toured around the area and jst had a relaxing time. Will be back in the future." - "It is not often that you have reality and imagination match, but this perfect floating cottage meets and exceeds all expectations. You'll love this unique, romantic or family escape in an authentic Mongolian Yurt equipped with tons of modern amenities. A stay at the Shanti Yurt is an unforgettable experience all year round. The "Shanti Yurt" is a haven for deep relaxation with forest views. Located on 2,5 acres of forest in Wintergreen Bragg Creek, the land offers access to nearby hiking trails, golf, West Bragg Creek day-use area, horseback riding, Elbow Falls, and 11 awesome places to dine in Bragg Creek.
The name "Shanti" means inner peace in Sanscrit and this is all about the space you will stay in. Yurts have been the primary style of home in Central Asia, particularly Mongolia, for thousands of years. Shanti Yurt was designed by a Mongolian Artist who painted by hand the wood beams and the entrance door. The Yurt arrived from Mongolian Syberia in March 2022 and we spent 3.5 months building it by ourselves (my husband Nick and myself with the help of Nick's friends). The yurt is 20ft in diameter and has an open space layout. As we were creating a space for romantic getaways and meditation retreats, we have chosen a Bohemian style for the interior.
Designed with your every comfort in mind, the yurt is adorned with:
- Designer log queen bed with a Beautyrest Imperial Collection luxury mattress - SO COMFY!
- "Buffy" Down-filled Duvet
- Organic-Cotton Towels, bathrobes and slippers for the hot tub
- Luxe Linens, 100% Cotton and Bamboo Sheets
- Eco-friendly repurposed furnishings
- Designer log sofa bed converts to a queen bed. Pls, let me know if you are planning to use the sofa bed in advance so that I prepare a second set of bedding for you.
- Breville Barista coffee machine + roasted coffee beans and syrup - start your day from a Starbucks coffee or even better :-)
- Spacious deck with BBQ and propane side burner for outdoor cooking, a lounge sofa and a patio dining set
- Custom-made natural rock wood firepit
- Propane patio firepit (for the days with fire ban)
- Boho swing set
- Skylight Dome
- Indoor wood stove for heat and for cooking + triple insulated walls keep you cozy in winter.
- Kitchenette - microwave, toaster oven, utensils and cutlery, pots&pans, clay tea set and stoneware dishes, crystal glasses and vintage shots - anything you touch in the Yurt has its unique texture!
- Forest Views
- Parking right next to the Yurt
- Large tongue drum and a music book - try creating your own meditation music
- Air conditioning in summer
- WiFi
- Smart TV with Netflix and Disney Plus subscriptions
- Singsation stereo/karaoke system
- Water dispenser (cold/hot drinkable water).
- A collection of books and board games
- Private Full Bathroom with a Shower for Two (two shower heads - try it, it is amazing!) - the bathroom is not shared and is reserved for the Yurt guests. It is located in a separate structure about 40 steps away from the yurt.
Enjoy slow mornings, peaceful days, and star-gazing nights in the comfort of our 4-season "Shanti" Yurt. Designed to stay cool in the summer, and equipped with a powerful wood stove to keep you warm throughout winter, we invite you to come back each season for a unique experience.
With all its comforts, the Yurt is a GLAMPING experience - glamorous camping. The camping aspect includes occasional bugs/mosquitos that might find their way into your yurt. Please come with the mindset that this will be a unique nature immersion experience, coupled with the cushiest of comforts. At the same time, our Yurt is not a tent or a glamping dome, it is a solid and very well-insulated structure, which doesn't leak in rain, doesn't shake in wind and is toasty warm in winter.
The Shanti Yurt is part of the Bragg Creek Glamping family of retreat spaces and sits on the same property as your host's house and the Rustic Cozy Cabin (additional private guest space). Both the Cabin and the Yurt have exclusive access to their own designated outdoor areas and designated bathrooms.

- "Its a little slice of heaven where you feel like no one else is around for miles. Amazing host and the Shanti is incredible! Lots of sight seeing close by, hot tub under the stars. We will definitely be back." - "We loved our first stay here and will be booking again for sure. Anna and family have built a laid back retreat that has everything. The yurt is cozy and beautiful, we slept deeply! Lot’s of birds and a few deer wandering through. 10/10"

We have a luxurious and very modern newly constructed float home right in the Creek Marina in North Vancouver, steps from Lonsdale Quay, restaurants and the SeaBus (15 minutes) to downtown Vancouver. You won't need a car!
Sit on our west facing deck overlooking downtown Vancouver and the North Shore mountains, sip a glass of wine while watching the beautiful sunsets.
Vancouver is a cycling paradise - cycle around the city on the 22 km Vancouver seawall or explore the Spirit Trail on the North Shore (the marina with our float home is beside the Spirit Trail).
We are waterfront in the heart of the North Vancouver, in one of its most vibrant neighborhoods. There are many restaurants within walking distance of the float home. You are a 7 minute walk to the Seabus, and then a 15 minute Seabus ride to the heart of downtown Vancouver: shopping on Robson Street, the Vancouver Art Gallery, theaters, Stanley Park and much more. The Creek Marina is the ultimate water and urban experience, all in one! It's quiet like the country but with all the advantages of the city.
Our home is ideally suited as a romantic get-away or vacation for a couple. You have the entire float home (both floors), no other guests above or below you.
We have a gourmet chef's kitchen with a 2 ovens (Miele speed oven & Miele steam oven), as well as a Miele range and dishwasher and a Sub-Zero fridge.
The float home is highly automated (lighting, heat, blinds), and can be controlled via wall switches, iPad (we leave one for you to use) apps, or using voice commands. You can AirPlay music to the upstairs great room, the master bedroom and master bathroom. You can also use all these things the old fashion way - by flipping switches.
One bathroom is equipped with a steam shower with seating for 2, and the master bedroom has a 2 person soaker tub.
We just love everything about the home and living on the water, and now feel like we are permanently on vacation.
We are relatively new to VRBO, but you can also find reviews on other platforms. Here are a some other platform reviews:
“The float house was above and beyond all vacation rentals we have ever stayed in. It is perfect for a couples get away or to explore Vancouver. Had all the amenities you will need and was a quick walk and seabus away from downtown. Loved the heated floors. You will not be disappointed picking Sylvie & Don's float house.”
“We never write a review - however this place was over the top!!! Beautiful - Luxurious - Spotless - Relaxing - Cozy - Friendly by both the hosts & neighbours - Safe & Secure - easy access to the city Dream Vacation Place!!”
“I have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals but this house takes the cake for the best vacation rental. The house is so nice and perfect I kinda can’t believe they rent it out. It is the cleanest place I have ever stayed. Not a spot of dirt or dust or even a crumb in a drawer. Spotless! The location is awesome. Very easy to walk to the SeaBus. The views of the mountains, marina, and city while sitting on the patio are second to none. In addition to cleanliness, the place was also VERY well stocked. Tons of spices for cooking as well as tools, utensils, gorgeous china, etc. The kitchen is top notch and will have everything you need. I also loved the home speaker system that allowed you to airplay from your device to any room in the house. They covered everything with meticulous detail in the guest info book. Everything about the place is meticulously thought out.”
“I travel a ton and love unique vacation rentals but this one tops them all! View, walkability, decor, amenities, communication, spotless and warm. We truly didn’t want to leave.”
“Wow! This floating home is amazing. It is a gorgeous home and has plenty of well designed space. It is beautifully decorated and everything is done exquisitely. The location is fabulous with easy access to the Lonsdale Market and the SeaBus. And the views are stunning. Loved every second that was spent on this special floating home.”

As of May 1, 2024 British Columbia has new restrictions on short-term-rental properties, our float home is exempt as it is our primary residence, and the marina is located on Squamish First Nation land. Additionally, we pay the Squamish Nation a yearly licence fee for using our home as a short-term-rental when we are not occupying it ourselves.
- "The property and location were perfect! No issues whatsoever were experienced, with hassle free check in, hassle free car parking and a wonderfully equipped property. The kitchen had everything you could wish for and all top branded appliances. We loved the views from the terrace balcony and the lovely artwork/internal decor. This was far better than many 5 star hotels we have stayed in. The location is quiet, yet you are only a 5 minute walk to the sea bus into Downtown to Vancouver. The area is extremely safe and friendly , with so many restaurants and bars nearby. Joeys and the Tap Barrel both done great food with fantastic views towards downtown, lovely at night. We have stayed many times in Vancouver and BC, but this has to be our favourite place so far. The experience of living on a floating home, sadly only for 5 days, was one we will cherish and this will be our first choice when we return. Also, the hosts were super responsive when we had a couple of questions. All in all, an utter joy."

Looking for the best of both worlds? Let's mix glamping and lake days together. After a long day exploring all the Shuswap has to offer, you can take a tub or shower in our treed bathhouse, cook up a meal in the outdoor kitchen, enjoy the crackle of a fire, and relax under the stars. You will have a rested sleep in either our bunkie or cozy trailer, both with a/c for those warm summer nights.
During your stay you will have keyed private access to our community beach, including the use of docks, and boat launch.
We are a short 2 min drive to the beach, a 5 min drive to Celista Winery and very central to many hiking trails.
- "Mike and Robyn’s place was a beautifully crafted experience! They’re attention to detail and unique property was a work of art. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and bathhouse. Even our teenagers were impressed 😊 They thought of everything and were easy to communicate with and super hospitable. Definitely a place to check out when you’re in the Shuswap." - "This place is amazing. They have thought of everything. Everything they have done is just more special than you were expecting. The Bunkie, washroom, kitchen, and shower and lighting are magical. There are extra special touches for the children. We definitely are going to try to return annually."

Reviewed as "the Four Seasons on the water," and by a NASA astronaut as "the best Airbnb ...on earth," Sailor's View float home is one of the most unique & luxurious vacation rentals in Vancouver. Dine under the vaulted beamed ceiling in the grand room, touch the water from the bedroom windows, and relax & drink around the cozy patio fire table, with incredible post card views of downtown Vancouver. All near great dining, shopping and transit. This isn't waterfront, it's water-ON! #Flotel
I will often check you in personally, or provide you with the access code for key-less entry.
The Lower Lonsdale area of North Vancouver is a vibrant waterfront community with lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and amenities, and just a short Seabus ride across the inlet to Downtown Vancouver and the Skytrain system to access YVR and the rest of the metro Vancouver area.
Guests will have access to the entire house, as well the docks of the marina to explore.
I could not be more proud to invite you to experience Sailor's View, our luxury floating home along the protected coastal Pacific Ocean waters in North Vancouver, looking out across the harbour at the downtown Vancouver skyline. The idea for this came after my mother and I watched an HGTV show where designer Joanna Gaines transformed a float home, and we become obsessed with them. My mom's many thoughtful decor and gardening touches are evident throughout the home.
We'd love to have you follow us on social media FB/Insta: @SailorsView #Floatel
We bought this float home from the original owner & builder Doug, and his wife Jewel, which is why I still affectionately call Sailor's View, "the Jewel of Vancouver." In addition to the many wonderful things said about it by guests, HGTV has featured Sailor's View, and Curiocity (lifestyle, entertainment, travel blog/website/Insta) featured Sailor's View and called it "The Ultimate Staycation."
HIGHLIGHTS
Each area of the floating home has a unique charm. The patio balcony is where it's at to enjoy the incredible downtown Vancouver city view, while sitting around the fire table. Inside, the exposed beams in the vaulted ceiling make for the perfect open-air space to cook, dine, or just relax around the fireplace and watch TV. The luxurious steam shower in the master bathroom is an added treat, as are the downstairs heated floors under your feat. Retire to either of two spacious bedrooms: the primary having ocean and city views for days and both a picture frame TV and an electric fireplace to set the mood! Even in the winter, there is no cozier place to get away from the everyday, and watch rain drops hit the water from around the living room gas fireplace. It's the perfect setting to read a book or catch up on life.
SLEEPING
-2 in the king bed in the primary bedroom (main/lower level)
-2 in the queen bed in the secondary bedroom (main/lower level)
-2 in the queen sofa bed in the living room (upper level)
-1 on a twin/single sized blow-up mattress w/built in electric pump (which you'll set up on the upper level, if needed)
EXTRA TOUCHES
These thoughtful touches will make your stay:
-Stainless steel Keurig coffee maker to start your day off right. I also provide a French press.
-High-end appliances (induction cook top and stove, and an ice maker in the fridge) and a well-stocked kitchen for cooking just about anything.
-All pillows and mattresses have a high-quality protector/encasement underneath the sheet set. The main beds have both an encasement and a top protector, in addition to the sheets.
-Wireless phone chargers on each side table in the bedrooms - no looking around for the outlet, just lay your phone down on the pad before you sleep. Another 6 port wireless charging station upstairs in the living room for all other guests and devices.
-Samsung Frame TVs (55" upstairs and 43" bedroom) with 4K cable (many Airbnb's do not have regular cable).
-Surround sound speakers you can connect your phone to and play music throughout the whole house, including downstairs in the primary bed and bathroom.
-Hair dyers in each bathroom if that saves some room in your travel bag.
-My detailed guidebook (sent to you digitally after booking and printed in the home) will help you plan your trip and get the most out of your stay.
-High quality air conditioners upstairs and in the primary bedroom during the summer months, plus Dyson fans in each bedroom. The ocean is the best air conditioner, with the cool sea breeze doing most of the work to keep the home the right temperature, and making it reliably comfortable in all seasons.
LOCATION
Being on the water in North Vancouver is an amazing experience. You can easily arrive from YVR Airport on transit (Skytrain, and then across the water on the "Seabus" from downtown to the North Vancouvers side), and we are a short walk from there. It is easy to get back over to downtown anytime for activites like Stanley Park and Granville Island, or concerts and hockey games. The advantage of being on the North Shore, is the closer proximity to the Capilano Suspension Bridge, Grouse Mountain (or any of the local ski mountains), Lynn Canyon, Deep Cove, Lonsdale Quay & the Shipyards entertainment district, and West Vancouver. Park Royal Shopping Center in West Van, one of the Vancouver area's best malls, is also on this side of the water.
WORKING REMOTE
For people needing to work during their stay, or just to keep in touch over video calls (or all the social media posts from the patio!), we have Telus Fibre Optic high speed internet (yes on the dock!) with a booster, so that internet use is fast and consistent whether you are sitting out on the patio, on the laptop in bed downstairs, or doing a video call at the workstation or kitchen island.
BOATING: In the summer months or with enough notice (or sometimes last minute), I offer my guests a discount on my top-rated yacht tour experience, if you'd like to see the city by water, or spend a day dining on one of Vancouver's nearby islands. I am a fully licensed and Transport Canada certified charter captain. If booking for the summer months I would advised booking well in advance as the dates fill up very quick through other travel agencies, boat tour companies, and the hotels that use my service. This is an extra service, billed through Airbnb's online payment system.
LIVE MUSIC ADD-ON
Some people have also booked me to perform live music for them on the balcony for various special occasions or just for the atmosphere. My music website is available on request, I play a mix of country, classic and 90’s rock, and some pop hits. Availability and pricing vary by date, and also billed through Airbnb's credit card service.
HISTORY
The Spirit Trail Ocean homes community was completed by individual owners over several years during the 2010s. The project was led by the Squamish Nation. The Creek Marina, though located on the North Shore/North Vancouver, is part of the Squamish Nation territory, and they could not be more gracious hosts. This home was completed and built in 2014 by realtor Doug as mentioned. As he was living in the float home next door during the new build, he was able to incorporate many extra and unique features others had not thought of, such as enlarging the deck, moving window locations to capture the best views, add working roofline windows, fireplace bump outs rather than it encroaching inside the living room, and bringing over an ornate metal gate from Spain for the stair railings. It is one of the largest float homes in the marina and is like no other, largely because of his expertise.
WATCH THE BUILD PROCESS
Float homes in this marina have been featured in the British TV series “My Floating Home.” Unfortunately, I can no longer post links directly in this description, but to see how these homes were built or learn more, just search and watch any of these three videos to get excited for your stay:
-“My floating home S1E2” (Aaron and Heather)"
-"My Floating Home (UK) S01 - Ep04 Vancouver and Canada's West Coast"
(this is full episode, but its mirrored horizontally for some reason)
-"Maritime-Inspired Two Storey Floating Home | My Floating Home"
NOTABLE GUESTS
-NASA Astronaut Paul Richards, International Space Station shuttle mission STS-102*
-Paul Langlois, guitarist for The Tragically Hip
-Aaron Pritchett, Canadian country artist
*Apparently the International Space Station was a slightly more memorable Airbnb, but we were a close second, and best on Earth at least :) We'll take it!
DOORBELL CAMERA: I have a doorbell security camera at the front entry door which only views the marina dock outside my unit (just as there are security cameras around the marina, in addition to 24 hour security personnel), to assists guests in connecting with me if needed, and discourage parties.
Thank you for reading through and considering us for you next adventure! Reach out to me for any questions and we look forward to having you stay.
Sailor's View is impressively located centrally near the Lower Lonsdale are of North Vancouver. Follow the Spirit Trail less than 5 minutes to the Sea Bus which takes you to Downtown Vancouver, from the Lonsdale Quay. The "Quay" is a central transit hub that connects to YVR International Airport, and the entire region of the Lower Mainland of Vancouver. Of course, there is a secure gated parking lot with 24 hour security for your vehicle, for getting around by car. The parking lot is right at the top of the ramp and first dock from the home.
- "Beautiful home, great host. Literally thought of everything you might need. Great area with lots of good restaurants and bars and just a short ferry ride to downtown Vancouver. Would 100% recommend." - "We had such a great time at this property. Commensurate host, spotless and clean, and what a view of the water and the city skyline! " - "We were thrilled with our stay at Sailor's View. The location and view are truly amazing. The house is well maintained, very comfortable and the amenities are excellent. Dave quickly responded to any questions and check-in/out was a breeze. We used the sea bus several times to quickly get to downtown Vancouver (15 mins) and the terminal is only about a 5 min walk from the house. There are lots of great restaurants, coffee houses, unique stores, bars and groceries within walking distance too. Highlights from our trip included a family of otters on the nearby dock one morning, watching the sunset with the gas fire pit on, and a sea plane day trip to Victoria on Vancouver Island (not cheap but a bucket list item!)"

Nature is your panoramic view! You may find that your perfect holiday is here within walking distance from your safari tent, situated on a 900sqft fenced deck. Your private path to the nature trail takes you to an undisturbed beach, eagles and herons at the shoreline, seals bobbing, anglers fishing salt and fresh waters, the Oyster River and estuary, distillery farm fields, forest with old-growth, a variety of bird species, deer and field rabbits grazing (and even Humpback and Orcas have been sited close from beach this year). The glamping site is in a safe place, with a private home nearby, but barely visible from your deck through some trees.

- "Loved glamping on this property! Everything was provided for us, all the little details were amazing! Would definitely return ❤️" - "My family stayed at the safari beachcomber tent for 3 nights and we really enjoyed the quiet, peaceful environment, short trails to the ocean, and the firepit on the enclosed patio (which was brilliant for our small dog). The tent had everything we needed like a comfy bed, towels, utensils, bbq, stove, and warm shower!!! Mishel was very informative and helped us with our needs. Very convenient location, close to a restaurant, stores, coffee shop, and beautiful beaches. I highly recommend Mishel and her safari tent to anyone! to the ocean"

Don’t let the outhouse scare you - it is very clean and comfortable! Lighting the candles and a fire in the wood stove made the Yurt magical at night. It’s clear that Andrea and Clay poured a lot of love and thought into this property. They were so welcoming. This place made me want a Yurt of my own! Just WOW!"

- "By far the most unique rental we've ever booked and Bernadette is just the most lovely soul! She accomodated a very last minute much needed couples getaway. Really unique quite little spot and watching the animals was so fun. All the comforts of home, hot running water, flush toilet, kitchenette and eating area with a really cool view. The place was also really well equiped, we didnt cook but you easily could. The place was spotlessly clean and the bed super comfy! Location might be abit remote for some but it was just far enough off the beaten track for us, 10 min to Ladysmith, 15 min to Naniamo, so pretty easy access. There are other campsites on the property but enough space that it still feels retry private. Bernadette even introduced us to her son and the farm animals, really neat spot!"

- "Dani and Paul have created such a neat place to really unplug and enjoy nature and the beautiful view of the lake. We found ourselves noticing all the little details they’ve put into the place all weekend. There might be quite a few stairs and a trek down to the lake but the view is worth it. You can take a quick break and sit by the fire, or inside the screened in porch that would be nice and cozy on a rainy day. The outhouse is clean, and they have a neat set up for the shower. We enjoyed a canoe around the quiet lake, and fished off the dock (no luck catching breakfast). We really can’t wait to return next year! Thanks again for the relaxing weekend away. - Jess & Erik"

Sleep in the trees on a private lake! Enjoy a brand new rooftop tent with memory foam bed perched above a screened shelter with camp stove and dining area. Bring your cooler, a bathing suit and kick back in nature!
The rooftop tent provided comfortably sleeps 2 adults + a small child, and its lower level can sleep 1-2 more! Bring a tent or two for more guests!
This is 1 of only 4 sites across 95 acres, a hidden gem. Welcome to Camp Rose Island!
If you've never heard of Cascadia Vehicle Tents - they're great! Typically installed on the roof of a vehicle, we decided to pop ours on top of a modern structure designed for breezy off-grid living. The tent has all the things a normal tent has, only way better. Use the ladder to climb in and enjoy a comfy queen+ sized bed underneath stargazing windows.
The tent also boasts a large lower level area that is completely enclosed and can be used as additional sleeping quarters (guests bring their own pads/mattresses/cots), or use it for your pets or personal belongings, or as a luxurious changing area!
Underneath the tent platform is a screened-in deck containing a camp stove (fuel included) and small dining area. All newly built in 2023 and designed for simple low-impact vacationing.
A safe distance away you will find a fire pit and more space for spreading out, playing with the dog, or even setting up another tent if you are a larger group.
Enjoy access to the water via the shared dock located down a short path, or if you’re feeling adventurous you can wade in from the site - it’s just a bit steep to the small private dock. You’ll also have access to a large 10x10 raft in the middle of the lake and two canoes + life jackets.
Just steps away from the tent (but far enough for privacy) you'll find a new outhouse that is dedicated to the site.
This site is at the furthest end of the property from the municipal road, and the trail to it is only recommended for 4WD vehicles. You are welcome to park your car in the front of the property and hike 10 mins to the site down the beautiful winding trail (a great way to see the property), a wagon is available on request. The property you'll be enjoying is 95 acres of privately owned land with forests, marshlands, ponds, and meadows and is largely natural and wild, with typical forest hazards. By booking my place you agree to all risk of injury or harm to persons and property in your group.
We are 15 mins from the hamlet of Coe Hill, and only a few minutes from the OFSC trails.
Guests will have access to the entire site, the lake, the shared lakefront area, an outhouse, and the ATV trail that spans the length of the property.
A host will be available through the app and available in person for check-in, and during your stay if needed.
This is a rustic off-grid camping experience requiring either a 4WD vehicle or hike to the site down a winding trail, it really is a totally hidden gem. Recommended for hearty outdoorsy types, there is no plumbing or electricity - just nature!
- "The glamping site was just perfect! Waking up & seeing the lake from the comfy bed was amazing. Paddling around the quiet lake in the canoe was enjoyable, especially that all the water Lillie’s were blooming. I recommend you give it a try, you’ll be glad you did!"

- "Fantastic space, well set up to be a good time even if the weather goes bad. We had sun and rain, and enjoyed both, from playing games in the lodge and listening to the rain on the tent, which left lots of space to hang out together, to hiking the trails and relaxing in the hot tub. The only complaint I maybe have would be firewood; while I managed fine with the very wet wood at our site, the host offers unlimited firewood for $5/day, which is supposed to be refilled each day. I sent the money and communicated that I wanted this service, and was a bit disappointed that only the wood that was clearly out for days was there (for an extra fee, I would have thought access to at least some dry wood would be provided), and while that could be easily overlooked it was not replenished at all the second night. That notwithstanding, I could not recommend this space more. We felt completely removed from the stress of the world, while still having incredible comfort. "

If you're looking for a rustic retreat, you've found the right place. We're renting out our RV that's located on a 6 acre farm property in a beautiful little town called Cawston. Cawston is known for its abundance of fruit trees and wineries that are nestled in a valley between rolling mountains. The Similkameen river runs through the town and is only a three to five minute walk from the property, where you can discover hidden swimming holes. Come on down, we'd love to have you stay with us.
The space
This is the real deal. Back when air b n b was first created, it was meant to share your unique space with those from other places. Our property is bustling, Sandy, my mom, is the owner, she's often roaming around picking veggies or cooking up something; Josh, my brother, runs a nursery on the back end of the property and is usually busy at work. There's a fire pit on the property that is perfect for small gatherings, to enjoy some music and star gazing as the day ends. We're friendly and generous, and figured this would be a good way to share some space and let others visit our hidden oasis. We're laid back and 420 friendly. Dogs are accommodated upon request*
The river is minutes away where we can show you where to park and go on a lazy river float, kayak, canoe or swim in crystal clear water. There are craft cideries like Twisted Hills, award winning wineries like Clos Du Soleil and Orofino that are only 5 minutes up the road. There is the Crowsnest winery and Row 14 for lunch and dinner if you're into a nice meal. If you like mountain biking or hiking, there are tons of trails that surround the area.
Unique to this valley is truly the abundance of farm fresh goodies. You can access farm gates where local vendors are selling their produce or get farm fresh eggs from up the road. Whatever is in season, will likely be in a basket on the counter for you.
We provide a DIY breakfast; There will always be farm fresh eggs and bread for you upon arrival, yogurt and cereal, coffee/tea and cream. There may be other goodies, you just never know.
We believe it is a privilege to enjoy this land and have deep acknowledgement that we live and work within the ancestral, traditional and unceceded territory of the Syilx Nation Similkameen.
Guest access
You'll have you're own separate trailer that is tucked away from the house. You'll have access to the whole property, there is ton's of space so make yourself at home, feel free to bring a small BBQ, or ask to use ours upon request. There is a fire pit that you can use so long as we are not in an active fire ban and it's not too windy of an evening.
Other things to note
One thing to keep in mind is we have two cats and three dogs that live with us. They roam freely and will not be tied up or put away from guests. They are all super friendly. If you have a dog, please let us know, if they are friendly with other animals, it shouldn't be a problem.
