Located in Coleman County, enjoy fishing, swimming or the view. Feel free to bring your canoe or other outdoor equipment to take advantage of the area!

PLEASE NOTE:

**The cottage doesn't sit directly on the lake**

In the winter you have easy walking access to go ice fishing, minutes away from snowmobiling and ski trails. At nighttime enjoy the cozy, warm cottage with wifi and fireplace while you cook a nice meal at home.

Enjoy this newly renovated cottage that sleeps 2 comfortably in the one bedroom and 2 guests on a pull out sofa in the living room. Fully winterized, all new appliances, full kitchen, full bathroom with a shower, tv, and fireplace. Enjoy wifi and movies while relaxing after a days adventure.

You are right in the middle of the Boreal Forest where nature is at your doorstep - Whatever you are in the mood for our area has to offer: hiking, skiing, swimming, canoeing, fishing, site seeing and more.

This cottage is one of 6 cottages on the same land so you will be sharing the land and docks with other guests renting the other cottages but there is plenty of space to enjoy yourself.

Local shops and grocery stores are just a 20 minute drive in Haileybury. You can also stop on the way to the cottage in North Bay where there is various stores, grocery stores, restaurants, fast food.

You can also visit the town of Cobalt which is just a 10-15 minute drive where you can find your essentials and small local shops/boutiques, museums and beach area.

We suggest you have a vehicle or quad to get around as you are in rural Ontario.

Other things to note
The lake entrance across the highway is also yours to enjoy for ice fishing, snowmobiling, etc.

This space is designed for any type of weather - enjoy nature as it presents itself. This being said, we do not offer refunds but we will issue a rain check reservation for another date of your choosing given 10 day notice prior to the booking date.

This is a no smoking space - if there is smell of smoke in the cottage, the $250 deposit will be taken.

Please let us know if you are bringing a pet during your stay as an additional $50/pet fee will be charged. Small pets only. Please pick up after your pet outside.

The water is safe, clean, drinkable and comes out of an artesian well.

House Rules:

- No outside shoes inside the cottage (There’s a hallway at the backdoor where you can keep your shoes)
- No gutting fish inside the cottage
- No smoking of any substance inside the cottage. If there is any evidence of smoking including smell of smoke indoors, the $250 deposit will be taken
- Dispose your cigarette butts outdoors in designated butt cans outside
- No house parties
- Please let us know if you are bringing a pet during your stay as an additional $50/pet fee will be charged. Only small pets are allowed
- Pick up after your pets
- No pets on the furniture unless you put your own towel or blanket down. No pets on the beds. If your pets make a mess indoors, there will be additional charges for the cottage cleanup
- If you are using any firewood, we do charge a fee of $10 per bag. Talk with our site manager re wood delivery
- We do not advise children under 12 to be on this property due to the highway and being lakefront. You hereby agree that we are not held accountable or liable for the safety of your children or their young friends, and you take full responsibility to supervise them at all times
- You are in nature, the weather conditions and terrain vary, we do not accept responsibility if you get hurt
- Please be sure to close the outside door. We want to avoid rodents and pests getting into the cottage
- Please park in the common area at the front. “No Parking” signs designate the area in front of cottage 1 that is not available. We are trying to seed this area into lawn
- Please be sure to close all of the windows and turn down the heat when you leave the cottage
- During the winter season it will get freezing cold, so we ask that you leave a small amount of water dripping/ running from the bathroom sink. This will avoid the pipes freezing
- During the winter season you will have a snow shovel on your front deck. Please use the shovel to ensure that you have a clear path to the parking lot and your vehicle. We maintain plowing of the parking area, however weather conditions can make it difficult for the area to always stay plowed, so please use your snow shovel for safety’s sake. Also, you can ask the site manager for some salt to improve the grip on your path to the parking
- When leaving the property, please place keys back in the lockbox. If we don't get your keys back in the lockbox, you will be charged for replacing them

The water is safe for swimming, but not ideal due to weeds on shoreline. There is a small local beach in Merrickville, about a 6 minute drive.
Water view is wonderful, dock can be used to fish from, boats can be launched close by and tied to dock. Water is great for boating and fishing.

Get away and relax at this 4-season year round retreat. This Ontario cottage rental is located on Greens Lake, a smaller lake only 30 mins from Bobcaygeon, 25 minutes from Buckhorn and 5 minutes from the Catchacoma chain of lakes. It is approxitatemly 2 hours from Toronto and no more than 1 hour and 45mins from Durham Region. Greens Lake is 80% Crowns Land, which means good fishing, tons of trails to explore and beautiful scenery with tranquil privacy.

The space
The interior features an open kitchen living and eating area with walkouts to the wraparound deck overlooking the lake. There is also a walk-out from the private master bedroom that leads to the lower area of the deck. There are 4 bedrooms (sleeps 8 comfortably), and a clean, modern, three-piece washroom with walk-in shower. There are portable AC units, and two window AC units, which provides relief from the heat. As well as an electric fireplace and heating for those chilly days/nights. We also have a washer and dryer (not pictured as they were recently added). Enjoy access to hundreds of DVDs, Nintendo 64 and board games for those rainy days!

The lot has many flat grassy areas and has a small sand beach for children to play on. The water is in the bay area of the lake, therefore providing calm, warm, and shallow water, perfect for children. The waterfront includes a large dock for family/friends to lounge on, and western exposure, which means sun for almost the entirety of the day!

Enjoy access to paddle boat and kayak. There is also a camp fire pit and propane BBQ. This cottage is at a great location, with easy access, and close to Gooderham, Buckhorn and Bobcaygeon.

Extra: access to baby equipment; such as baby crib, and baby gate, if requested.

Enjoy our unique West Coast style cabin on beautiful Black Sturgeon Lake. Built in 2002, the cabin is nestled in the trees, and has gorgeous views of the lake. The open concept cabin is bright and airy with 20 foot ceilings and tons of lake front windows. A separate guest cabin can accommodate more guests and offer complete privacy from the main cabin. We have high speed, reliable internet for streaming and working remotely. This cabin is a great getaway any time of the year!

The space
The main cabin features a full bathroom with a steam shower and the full kitchen includes a dishwasher, and all the amenities so you can cook just like at home! The cabin is heated with baseboard heating, and a cozy wood burning stove.

We have fast and reliable internet service, so you and all your guests can simultaneously stream movies and work remotely.

The two spacious bedrooms each include a queen bed. The bedrooms are somewhat open to the rest of the cabin, but we have recently installed big barn doors for some additional privacy.

A separate guest cabin built in 2021 offers complete privacy and is just a few steps away from the main cabin. It features both a 2021 pull out sofa from eq3 and sleeping loft with a double mattress. Included in the guest cabin is an electric fireplace, baseboard heater, small dining table and chairs, mini fridge, smart tv, and internet access.

A hot tub overlooks the lake and is the perfect spot to relax no matter what the season!
