When my husband Bob and I purchased this property 17 years ago, we knew it was just too beautiful not to share. The ocean and mountain vistas are like no other. The most common comment we receive is 'Wow, what a million dollar view'.
We are situated on seven acres set in a private and peaceful setting. Our home is truly a great place to relax and enjoy the amazing views from the hot tub or gazebo on your private patio. Enjoy the spacious bathroom equipped with towels, misc. bath needs and comfortable bath robes. We provide coffee, tea, cream butter and homemade cheese bread.
This is much more than a bed and breakfast. Many of our guest choose to treat it as a destination, taking time to relax and wind down. The gazebo and hot tub are yours to use exclusively during your visit. There is a BBQ provided which has been very popular. Your dishes are whisked away from behind the magic door (you have to check in for the rest of that story) and returned dishwasher clean.
If you choose to venture out, there are several hiking trails, wineries, fabulous restaurants, lakes and ocean beaches close by including the spectacular Malahat Sky Walk just 1.5 kilometers south. Mill Bay (about 5 minutes north) has shops, liquor store, Thrifty foods, Pharmasave and many other amenities.
We have been in operation since 2011; it has been one of the most rewarding experiences ever and are humbled by our 5 star rating!

My girlfriend was in tears when we first arrived as the pictures are amazing, but seeing this place in person is a different story. The cabin is simply stunning with incredible architecture inside and out. There are so many designated areas to hang and we lived them all. From the swing, couches/ chairs on patio, upstairs bedroom patio, gazebo, and lit up fire pit, we really made this place our home for 3 nights! The outside environment is something next level. It is super peaceful and beautiful here and has some of best views and sounds of nature you’ll ever find so bring your camera (we saw turtles, a stork, and many birds). We went out for my girlfriends birthday to a nearby winery called the Roost and that was awesome so I highly recommend doing the blind wine tasting there (ask for Don). The cabin is very clean and equipped, but just make sure to bring extra pods for coffee, own spices, containers for food and parchment paper/ tinfoil and clear wrap. We also swam in the pond a few times which was super refreshing so bring your bathing suit if you want a quick dip. Can’t say enough about this getaway as it was super relaxing, romantic, beautiful, and exceeded our expectations. This beautiful slope side, chalet styled townhome, sits directly on Blue Mountain at the base of the Happy Valley ski run, providing ski in and ski out access to the ticket booths and lifts. The 1250 square foot multi-level unit offers spectacular views of the mountain from the living room. You can even catch a peak at the blue waters of Georgian Bay during the day and has great star gazing at night! The townhome has been fully renovated and kept in top condition. It is professionally cleaned after guests check out. The property is very private and usually quiet for this area, for those who want to enjoy the outdoors but be close to all amenities in the Blue Mountain Resort Village and surrounding towns.
Directly off the reserved parking lot, our unit is located on the second level of the Chateau Ridge condo complex. A convenient exterior private locker outside the front door is provided to store your outdoor gear.
The main floor is open concept with modern rustic decor throughout, features a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, breakfast bar for 2, and a dining room with seating for 6 - great for entertaining friends or enjoying a family dinner. The spacious living room has a cathedral ceiling and two-story bay window with an expansive view of the mountain. The living room offers a 55' LCD TV, free Bell Fibe wifi (300 mps down, 200 up). The comfy sofa and club chairs provide ample lounging space. New Hot Tub!
The cottage and hot tub are sanitized between each use according to the BC Centre for Disease Control. All linens and towels are washed on the sanitized cycle.
Due to the nature of the terrain, the property is only suited for adults. No pets or smoking on the property please. We provide scent free shower products.
This is an intimate cottage on the ocean. You can fish for salmon and halibut, kayak among seals, mountain bike as far as you like, surf , go whale watching or enjoy a quiet evening in the hot tub or in front of the indoor fireplace.
We have a 1.2 acre south facing property on Sooke Basin, a protected bay off of the Pacific. It's salt water but you'd think that it was a lake. Calm as a mill pond most days. You'll wake to the sounds of ducks, geese, swans, eagles and snorting seals.
We're located in Saseenos which is in a microclimate known to have the sunniest and mildest winters in Canada.
The cottage is set on an oceanfront corner of our property, with the main house set further back and on the other side of a fence. Although this is a shared property, you'll have lots of privacy.
The cottage is suitable for a maximum of 2 adults. The bedroom has a queen bed. The main room consists of a kitchen, dining and living room. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook, except food. Coffee and tea are provided. There is a dishwasher. The bathroom has a soaker tub and a separate shower. Linens and towels are provided. There is a new private hot tub on the cottage deck on the ocean side. We have a large 220 foot dock and a smaller deck that you are welcome to utilize. There is a rocky beach when it's low tide. The kayaks and lifejackets are available to use. Lots of charters available nearby if you'd like to go whale watching or fishing.
If you like to stay busy, there's lots to do. The Galloping Goose Trail is at the end of our street and is perfect for a morning run, bike ride or hike. The town of Sooke has fabulous restaurants and the nearby beaches are breathtaking.
You'll feel like you're in the middle of nowhere but we're 5 minutes from the town of Sooke where you'll find grocery and liquor stores, Shopper's Drug Mart, banks, Tim Horton's and a variety of other stores/restaurants. Costco and other favorite stores are about 20 minutes away. We're 25 minutes to downtown Victoria.
This is truly paradise. The cabin can be used year round. This specific area of Sooke is known to have milder winters and the summers are often warm and sunny.
