This cozy cottage is an economical getaway for a couple or a small family. Billings Spit Cottage offers the perfect base from which to explore the Sooke area with its walking, cycling, beachcombing opportunities. The Sooke River Potholes are not far away either. A family with bicycles could make the Sooke River Potholes a destination for the day. The cottage sleeps up to 4 people. The main bedroom has a queen bed, and the living room has a double pullout sofa. The well maintained gardens and lawn offer a nice space for an evening BBQ. Access to the beach is just steps away, 25 metres at the end of the street. Follow up your BBQ with a walk on the beach! This protected beach is an excellent place to launch a kayak.

We saw a woodpecker, tons of humming birds and eagles/hawks(?) and even a frog visitor on the bbq. The area has tons of great walks and places to visit. We had an issue with check in (not the host’s issue, definitely ours lol) and it was very easily resolved with quick communication from the host. The rental is in a prime location on Vancouver Island, which we used to gain easy access to numerous hikes, swimming holes and beaches on the southwestern side of the Island. Welcome to a charming Cottage just steps from the sea.
Explore 100ft of gorgeous beachfront after taking a single step off the deck. Immediately, you stand on the beach--the waves just a pace away from your feet. Or sit in the cedar-wood hot tub and enjoy the waves and the jets.
Enjoy panoramic oceans views to fill and replenish all of your senses from almost all the rooms the Cottage offers. Walk up the Cottage's few short steps and into the open-concept, airy design. The living room/kitchen/dining room is designed for ease and comfort. The couch in this space pulls out into a double bed for your convenience.
Through the glass-pane doors find the first bedroom, with king-sized bed and gorgeous ocean views. Beside this room is the common bathroom with shower. Through the French doors, exit the Cottage and enjoy the best of outdoor living on your private deck. Just steps beyond the edge of the deck, watch the waves crash against the beach. The road to the property was a bit rundown but once we got there it was great. The local supermarket Village foods was really good and we ate at Route 14. We would stay again if we had chance in future."

Property could use more than six sets of dinnerware/utensils but minor inconvenience overcome by more dishwashing. Also recommend an earlier delivery of checkin instructions than exactly at 4pm of the day of arrival just to reduce the uncertainty and stress already associated with going to the island from the mainland. (Maybe hold back the door code until 4pm, but provide the other info)."

The Cabin at Summit House is a private, self-contained, fully off-grid retreat — a quiet space to unwind and recharge. Summit House sits on a 200-acre forested property overlooking the Saanich Inlet and Todd Gowland National Park across the Inlet, with over a kilometre of natural shoreline, a seasonal waterfall, nature hikes and regular sightings of local wildlife, including bald eagles.
Just 20 minutes from Victoria or Mill Bay, the property is close to the Malahat Skywalk, island wineries, and other outdoor destinations. It’s also a convenient base for exploring the Cowichan Valley, or a short ferry ride to Sidney for a day trip to the world-famous Butchart Gardens.

Welcome to Sunrise Oaks! Your own perfectly private, chic cottage escape. Watch the sunrise over a natural Garry Oak habitat quintessential to the area. We have operated Sunrise Oaks through Airbnb as Superhosts for a couple years, please read all the wonderful reviews the listing has there! Please note that this cottage is not suitable for those with mobility challenges as one accesses the cottage down garden steps through terraced landscape.
Stunningly modern and recently built, you'll enjoy cozy comforts as you look out at a serene landscape. This is an entirely separate house built on our property. Light abundant with modern furnishings, a fully equipped kitchen and a bed so comfy you won't want to get out of it! **A second queen bed for extra guests is located in the loft and not suitable for very young children or elderly. Sunrise Oaks is located in a quiet neighbourhood but walking distance to all major amenities. Surrounded by gardens and beautiful views, you will enjoy freshly ground Salt Spring coffee along with many other comforts not found in a hotel. There is a wrap aroud deck and and outdoor spaces to sit and enjoy the nature designated for the cottage. There are two smart Tv's, a gas fireplace and many other comforts to enjoy.

In the heart of James Bay only steps to the ocean and Ogden Point, with Victoria's breakwater, rests this petite piece of local history. This rejuvenated and cozy nest has a heritage touch, a cute garden. All within walking distance to all that downtown Victoria has to offer. Enjoy restaurants, shopping, Royal British Columbia Museum, a walk along the Inner Harbour and maybe enjoy some ice cream at the Beacon Hill Drive In.

Just a half block off of Dallas Road we could walk for miles along the paths next to the ocean. There are several access points for going down to the beach as well. There is only on street parking but we were always able to park right in front of the cottage. It was an easy walk to the inner harbor and downtown Victoria. The cottage is 3 blocks from the James Bay Thriftys (nice grocery store). The house itself is charming. It is tiny and the closet space very minimal but adeuquate for a holiday. The kitchen is lovely and well equipped. The bed was comfortable but note that it is right up against 3 walls with no possibility of being moved out. I had to crawl out across my husband to get out of bed if he was still in it. The yard is fenced with a BBQ out back. We would definitely recommend this cute cottage! "

It has one interior bedroom with a king size bed, as well as a queen pull out couch in the living room.
Under the main level there is a bedroom that is accessed directly from outside. Possibly suitable for adults or older teenagers? More like a glamping set up than indoor space, however there are lights and it is heated.
Near the waters edge there is a gazebo with a hammock in it!

Before arrival, you will be contacted by the True Key Vacations team to give you directions on accessing your suite. The doors will have a 4-digit code and you can park one vehicle in the car port out front. Extra parking is available for a fee of $10/day (plus applicable taxes) through the resort pay meter app.

Please note, long term stays will be subject to an additional cleaning fee of $164+tax. We will send you a request for payment of this charge upon confirmation of your reservation.
Long term stays are GST applicable. This tax of 5% will be charged to the credit card provided upon arrival.
Deposit Required: A deposit of 50% for the reservation is due at the time of booking. The balance is due and payable 7-days prior to arrival. Bookings made within 7-days of arrival will be charged the full cost of the stay in order to confirm the reservation.
