The Studio is a truly unique and beautiful property, both inside and out. Located in the heart of the village within walking distance to all the harbor front attractions, The Studio is tucked away, shady and private. The multi level patio is nestled among live oaks and cedar trees. After a total renovation in 2022, the interior space features an updated look that is more spacious, more functional and more inviting than ever! The Studio is an adult only, pet free, smoke free space. Smoking is allowed outside.

This building was constructed in 1993 and used for 15 years as a working art studio. It is set back off the road, amidst giant live oak and cedar trees, and sits alongside my home, one of the islands designated historic houses. The two buildings are joined by an open breezeway behind the main gate, but when guests are in residence in the studio, we both have separate entrances on opposite sides of the property. The Studio provides all the comforts of home in a private, quiet and tree shaded setting, with lots of attention to detail. I have tried to make the Studio somewhere I would want to stay, well cared for with lots of personality.

You enter through a totally enclosed multi leveled courtyard space complete with artwork, jasmine, hot/cold out door shower and grill. There are chairs for lounging and a dining table for mealtime. Your parking is right outside the gate. Inside, the studio is colorful, unique and furnished for your complete comfort with one queen bed downstairs, a double bed in the upstairs loft space, sofa, flat screen TV, fully equipped kitchen and bath with tub and shower. There is a desk and office chair perfect for working while away! The Studio provides full linen service.

This is the perfect romantic and private getaway for two. The Studio is located within walking distance of the Coffee Company, Zillie's, the harbor front and all downtown shops and restaurants. We ask that you do not store or charge electric bikes on the property.

Margaritaville is a delightful two bedroom/two bath house, located in a quiet neighborhood with outstanding views of Pamlico Sound and the phenomenal sunsets. It takes about an hour and a half to do two loads and we used that time to explore the area around the lake. The people at the Inn were super nice. Pearl is a Hidden Gem in the Village. When you enter you will see the main house to the right. You will enter the Kitchen area of our home. The kitchen offers an open concept to the living and dining area so that as the "resident chef" you can feel included in all the conversation with your friends and family. As you will see the Kitchen has a center island for the sink and dishwasher.

The living space offers all new furniture such as the pull out sofa (Queen) with lovely, crisp cotton sheets. You will be able to enjoy Netflix on the new Roku TV, but, as always, why watch TV when you can be out enjoying the Ocracoke views !!

There are 2 bedrooms for you to choose from. The one on your left as you enter the hallway is a brand new Beauty Rest Double bed with a lovely antique Pine dresser. The ceiling fan and mini-split heat pump will ensure that you or your guest sleep well at their own temperature.

The bedroom to the right, the Master, features a new Beauty Rest Queen bed, with cooling mattress cover. Also noted in the room for your sleeping comfort is a ceiling fan and your own mini-split heat pump as well. The 2 antique old English Pine dressers are here for you to place. your belongings in so that it feels just like home !

The center hall bathroom has just experienced a "from the sand up" renovation, all the while saving as much of the original structure as we could. We know that you will love the original Bead Board ceilings and new Ship Lap walls !! What are our 2 favorite features in the bathroom??? The deep Cast Iron soaking tub and the electric wall heater !! We know this will give you hours of enjoyment as you rest after a busy day exploring the wild beaches of Ocracoke !!

And the porch !!!! What an absolute delight you will experience with the large sofa and swing !! The wide expanse of the porch is perfect for early morning coffee and late night chats with those you have allowed to come with you on this adventure.

Our personal favorite is the outdoor shower --- After enjoying an outdoor shower you will have a hard time going inside to shower. With overhead coverage in case of rain or chilly weather, the full door gives your most modest guest to enjoy the experience. One thing to be mindful of with the pipes in this historic home, someone might get chilly if both showers and dish washer are running at the same time.

All of the yard space are yours to enjoy ! The fenced in yard is perfect for any gathering, including your pet. We do ask that all pet waste is removed from the yard as no one wants to put a toe into anything left behind!

- "My family and I had a wonderful time celebrating the July 4th holiday at this cute home. We've been coming to the island for over 30 years and always love our time spent on Ocracoke PROS: The cul-de-sac location is nice & convenient to everything with a wonderful backyard view of the lighthouse. The bedrooms are smaller sized, but the house is well appointed so it lives larger & having the extra 1/2 bath was great w/4 occupants. This home was VERY CLEAN & also not too cluttered with "stuff". There were plenty of bath towels & a washing machine/dryer which are a must have for beach life w/kids. We closed the curtains on the front of the house during the high 90 degree days to help keep the heat out when we weren't there, but the air conditioner worked fabulously so the house was always cool & comfortable. There is an outdoor shower on the back deck & a spigot with hose near the driveway which were both convenient & (again) mandatory for beach life. There's a screened porch, a charcoal grill, & a bike rack too CONS: the worst things I can say are... Regarding the house, there aren't any fans to move the air around or for white noise, but we had our own so it wasn't a problem for us. Regarding the island in general (if you don't already know),, the mosquitoes are thick around sunrise/sunset so make sure you don't get caught outside without bug spray during those times **This was our first time staying in this home, we enjoyed it and would definitely stay here again 😊"

The deck and screened in porch were especially nice on the couple of good weather days we had; and the large living area and well equipped kitchen were fine on the rainy ones. We no longer have a dog, but if we did, the fenced area on the side was particularly well thought out, with both sand and grass areas, a water spigot right in the middle, and an enclosed place with a floor just underneath the house to get out of the sun or rain."

This comfortable, quiet home has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a nice open loft with a pyramid bed. It has two decks with the front being screened-in to enjoy breezy nights. It is a fairly new home and has been well kept over the years. The kitchen is roomy and has all the conveniences to enjoy home-cooked meals. There is an outdoor shower directly under the house. It is pet friendly with a kennel to ensure that your pets are kept safe while you are out enjoying the Island! This Sunday turn day property even includes all linens and towels to ease your mind while packing for your unforgettable vacation.

- "We loved staying at Potter’s Place. We found the house to be clean and tidy with everything we needed. We were pleasantly surprised with the games on the front porch. We had fun playing those. Loved that there was a tv on the front porch but we couldn’t get it to work. Housekeeping may want to check light bulbs. There was one going out on the front porch. Two were out in the kitchen and the one in the laundry room didn’t work. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent Potter’s Place again. Thank you!"
