“This is the south”. Though we treat for pest our home is over 60 years old. The yard will have mosquitos, small spiders and sometimes small lizards! You may see a palmetto bug. I hate them and you will hate them! But this is a “south” issue and not a cleanliness one! We clean and sanitize after each guest!!

To ensure a peaceful environment for everyone, we observe quiet hours from 9 PM to 9 AM and kindly ask all guests to be considerate of one another.

🚗 Driveway, and Road: The road and driveway are narrow and steep in places. Please drive carefully and be mindful of the gravel road, the parking area around the home is paved. You are responsible for your vehicle and any potential damage to it or the landscaping.

🚜 Construction Nearby: There is a home being built nearby, so you may hear some construction noise during work hours. It shouldn’t affect your view or stay, but we wanted you to be aware. This has now moved inside now, and most noise should be over. The nearby project will be completed by the end of October 2025.

🛏️ Occupancy and Fees: This modern home accommodates a maximum of 6 guests, ideally including children. An additional $10 per person (including kids) will be charged for guests beyond 4. There are is a pac-n-plays in the walk-in closet, but these are only for smaller kids.

🚜 Construction Nearby: There is a home being built nearby, so you may hear some construction noise during work hours. It shouldn’t affect your view or stay, but we wanted you to be aware. This has now moved inside now, and most noise should be over. The nearby project will be completed by the end of October 2025.

🛏️ Occupancy and Fees: This modern home accommodates a maximum of 6 guests, ideally including children. An additional $10 per person (including kids) will be charged for guests beyond 4. There are is a pac-n-plays in the walk-in closet, but these are only for smaller kids.

In the past, we've encountered situations in other homes where children inadvertently locked doors, requiring our immediate assistance. - "My fiancé and I came for a Thursday–Sunday trip to plan/finalize our upcoming wedding at Cloudland Canyon. You would think our outings, cake tasting, reception planning would be more stressful than our stay—instead were the highlight of our trip, the stay itself was underwhelming.We were disappointed to find construction on the property with no prior notice. Instead of peaceful mountain views, we had an excavator outside our window and patio. The hot tub, one of the main reasons we booked this place, lacked privacy and felt exposed right next to the neighbors’ parking area/ entrance. Inside, was nice and mostly clean, though I did find leftover confetti by the nightstand. The thermostat wouldn’t go below 70, making it hard to sleep comfortably in the warmer master bedroom.The biggest issue was noise. We were placed between two loud families, and the soundproofing is basically nonexistent. We had to contact the host twice during our stay due to noise during “quiet hours”.This place may work for larger groups, but as a couple looking for a quiet, relaxing stay—it missed the mark. Your experience here really depends on your neighbors."

Our guest room heating and air is ran from our central unit which is control by our thermostat on the main level. We try our best to keep the air/ heat at optimal temperatures for the current weather environment however, we do also offer you a heater, blankets and a floor fan should you need to warm up or cool down.


Extra person fee after 1 guest is $10/ per person per night- max 2 guests.
Please let us know the EXACT number of guests that will be staying so that we may prepare and accommodate your stay comfortably.
For rentals of more than two weeks is required a Deposit of $300.

Free parking space for one car.
Additional parking space for another car is available, $5 per night. Please let us know.

For long term rentals ( more than 2 weeks rental ) we have the option to clean the room every other weekend (extra $60 cleaning fee per weekend) let us know if you are interested.

1) Leave all dirty towels and bed sheets in bathroom floor.
2) Remember to tightly bag your trash & Take out all trash to the green garbage can, under the steps.

Pet Friendly and Private! Nestled in the foothills of North Ga. Right off I75 close to Calhoun and Dalton. 1.5 hour from Atlanta and 45 mins from Chattanooga, TN. This is a well appointed and updated space. You will hear noises upstairs. People live on the top floor. However, you have complete privacy. Please read the reviews and make your decision, you won't be disappointed. There are 3 mini split air conditioners separate from the main floor.

The space
Since this unit is a basement, you will hear footsteps as well as daily noises throughout the day. From 8pm to 8am you will hear minimal noises from upstairs. If noise will be an issue, then this stay may not be not be the best option for you. There are 3 mini split air conditioner/ heat units for your own comfort, completely separate from upstairs.

You will have a private, gated entrance leading into your basement apartment. Three interior doors (2 storage spaces and entrance to main house) will remain locked during your stay.

This home was built in the late 70's and has an intercom system throughout the house. The basement has an intercom and speaker located next to the tv in the living room. This system is not actively recording nor listening and is for display purposes only.

The Cuyler Street Bungalows are wonderful apartments above the Historic Oakwood Café. They are beautifully decorated , easy to access, and surrounded by restaurants. A few aging deck boards are also scheduled for replacement (safe, just worn).

Despite this, we have the occasional bug break-in. We give you full permission to evict any rogue intruders.

However, being in an apartment-style building means you might hear occasional footfall and muffled voices. To ensure a peaceful environment for everyone, we observe quiet hours from 9 PM to 9 AM and kindly ask all guests to be considerate of one another.

🏊🏼‍♂️Hot Tub: the technician visits on Monday and Friday mornings to monitor and maintain the Spa. He will access the back driveway, handle hot tub care, and have no need to enter the home.

🚗 Parking, Driveway, and Road: The road and driveway are narrow and steep in places. Please drive carefully and be mindful of the gravel road, the parking area around the home is paved. You are responsible for your vehicle and any potential damage to it or the landscaping.

🚜 Construction Nearby: There is a home being built nearby, so you may hear some construction noise during work hours. It shouldn’t affect your view or stay, but we wanted you to be aware.

🛏️ Occupancy and Fees: This modern home accommodates a maximum of 6 guests, ideally including children. An additional $10 per person (including kids) will be charged for guests beyond 4. There are is a pac-n-plays in the walk-in closet, but these are only for smaller kids.

🔐Bedroom Locks: For the safety and convenience of our guests, we have intentionally chosen not to install locks on bedroom or bathroom doors. In the past, we've encountered situations in other homes where children inadvertently locked doors, requiring our immediate assistance. By designing our home this way, we aim to prevent any inconveniences and ensure a seamless experience for all our guests.

❄️ A/C & Heat: The thermostat is programmed to reset automatically at 10 AM and 5 PM daily, ensuring efficiency when the home is unoccupied. Feel free to adjust the temperature to your comfort when home.

🅿️ Parking: Limited to 3 regular-sized cars or less with any oversized vehicles. Parking is located above, in the parking lane around the back of the house. You then walk across the middle floor porch, up the stairs to your top unit's porch and front door. There is ample space to drive and park, but caution is essential. Make sure to park in the correct designated lanes based on the unit you are renting.

👶 Infants: We welcome infants, but please note we do not provide outlet plugs, foam guards, a crib, or a pack-n-play.

The apartment loft is located in Downtown Calhoun. It is close to family-friendly activities and the airport. You’ll love the apartment loft because it is newly completed and offers hometown charm with modern features. Everything is up to date., the neighborhood, the ambiance and the comfy beds. Our apartment loft is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with children). It is a wonderful place to stay and relax!

Other things to note
You will have to go up a long flight of stairs to reach your apartment loft. An elevator is not available.
