Guests will be given a key and have the entire apartment to themselves. The entrance is through the back of the building. Please note that the unit is on the second floor so luggage will have to be taken up a set of stairs.

Our home is on a quiet and peaceful corner of The Historic Duckpond Neighborhood. If you enjoy old architecture, you’ll be delighted by all the historic houses dotting the streets. Gainesville has many interesting spots to see, from lovely cultural sites to vibrant nightclubs––and our centrally located home makes it wonderfully easy for you to plan a great trip around the city.

Getting Around:
You’ll have an easy time seeing all the sights in Gainesville since our neighborhood is in a central spot and all the downtown attractions are just a few minutes’ walk away. Biking is also a wonderful way to enjoy the beauty of the area. There are many gorgeous Victorian homes to admire around the block.

Studio 7 is located just blocks north of Ben-Griffin stadium/midtown and less than a mile from UF Shands hospital. This cozy and recently renovated mid-century modern carriage house features an in unit smart washer/dryer, a full kitchenette, and a large private yard area for entertainment. A perfect place for one or two people to enjoy!
Your stay will include a large private yard where you can play corn hole or giant Jenga, lounge by two fire pits, or enjoy dinner at the outdoor covered dining with food prepared on the charcoal grill.
The lot on which Studio 7 sits is divided into two parcels separated by an 8 ft fence. The main house is also an Airbnb. Both units have separate and private entrances, as well as separate yards. The windows overlooking the yard for Studio 7 are frosted. Guests of the main house will not be able to see into Studio 7's yard. Please be courteous to each other and be mindful of noise during the evening hours. In addition, please be respectful of the other guest's privacy and do not enter the larger backyard. Feel free to message us with any questions or concerns!

Parking: The right side of the main house driveway is available to you. The left side is reserved for main house guests. Street parking is free between 4 pm and 8 am M-F and anytime on weekends in the designated white boxes (there are posted placards if you are not sure). Street parking is first come-first served.

Noise: Gainesville is primarily a college town and as such there are many student rentals in the area. During football season and festive holidays, you may hear noise from these houses nearby which can go into the late evening hours, especially if you are enjoying the outdoor amenities. From our experience, very little can be heard from inside the home.

Please note that for stays longer than 6 days, only initial paper products will be provided. Any additional products will need to be purchased by the guest.

EARLY/LATE CHECK-IN
Guests should know that we can sometimes accommodate early check-in times or later check-out times. Please message via the messaging system to inquire further. We do ask for a $50 service fee for adjusting the check-in or check-out time.

Smoking: No Smoking, smokeless tobacco, or vaping of any kind is allowed inside the home or on the front patio (any covered area). All butts, cartridges, etc must be discarded in a lined outdoor trashcan. Any smoking refuse (i.e. butts, cartons, wrappers, cartridges, dip, etc) left behind or unauthorized smoking in the aforementioned areas will incur an additional cleaning fee of $100.

Additional Overnight Guests: Any guests in the home remaining after 11pm not listed in the original reservation will be considered as additional overnight guests. Each additional overnight guest will result in a $100 per person per night upcharge.

Lights and Recycling: To help us do our part for the environment please turn off all lights when no guests are occupying the home.

No pets allowed. If an unauthorized animal is discovered inside the dwelling at any point during the reservation, a $300 fee will be assessed.

No events or parties.

Security camera disclosure: There is one ring doorbell at front door and two exterior cameras facing the fence gates around Studio 7's yard. All devices record audio and video when motion is detected. There is an Alexa Echo Show in the kitchen, which has an internal camera usually used for video calls, however it is not accessible remotely and is covered with an internal slide cover.

Let us tell you about our place! Our classy apartment boasts an open-plan living, with modern, minimalist interior design that inspires unclutteredness, elegance, and groundness. It is an ideal base for work-travelers to live in Gainesville for a few weeks or a few months.

We designed our apartment to be a place to come and recharge from the day. The living room is a space for conversation and reading (hence no television), the kitchen is equipped with the essentials for cooking and dining, and the in-apartment washer/dryer is available anytime for your convenience. We have one exterior mounted camera on front door to ensure the safety of our guests.

Each private bedroom, designed for only one guest, has the intention to be an uncluttered, calming space for you to come into after a long day from work, research, or studies and be able to recharge. It is equipped with a large work desk and and full size memory foam mattress. We unfortunately have removed the tv from the room because it was in an unstable and potentially dangerous position for our guest. But! We provide a tablet with entertainment and productivity apps for you during your stay. The private bathroom ensures you have your personal hygiene space and the spacious walking closet ensures you have proper space for storage.

Other things to note
Our apartment is central to the University of Florida, UF Health Shands, Butler Plaza, and Celebration Pointe. If you need transportation to the University of Florida you can take the Gainesville RTS (Regional Transit System) bus number 20, 21, 28, or 33. If you need transportation to UF Health Shands you can take bus number 33 or 36. Gainesville RTS is free for UF and UF Health Shands students, employees, and associates!

As for food, you can choose between Whole Foods Market (1.2 mi), Publix Super Market (1.1 mi), or Walmart Supercenter (1.1 mi) to buy groceries. If you are the eat out kind, you can choose from tens of restaurants in the newly developed Butler Plaza (1.0 mi) and Celebration Pointe (1.6 mi). We always enjoy 4Rivers for their smoked brisket in Butler Plaza and Spurrier's Gridiron Grille for their classy yet fun environment in Celebration Pointe.

Last few perks are that the apartment is conveniently located on the first floor to aid when you are bringing groceries home and the complex swimming pool is a great place to sunbathe, swim, or simply read a book.
