With so many memories of having to walk up the hill after a night at the bars, it was great to be within a couple hundred feet of the apartment when it was time to call it a night. All the rooms had plenty of space and having 3 bathrooms was perfect. Our host did a great job of responding when we had trouble accessing the building (our fault for not realizing additional information had been sent to us the morning of our arrival), and he kept in touch all weekend to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. He also provided some great recommendations for restaurants and bars. I was a bit nervous about booking as this was a new unit, but everything worked out great and I can't wait to start planning some return trips to Morgantown!"

This unique place has a style all its own.

Our loft, “The Mountaineer Suite”, sits on 2 floors, features a full kitchen/dining area, full private bathroom with a custom shower, along with heated floors for those cold, winter months. Follow the stairs to the loft area where you’ll find a spacious, open floor plan which features a workspace, a spacious living room with a large comfortable sectional, (which adds additional sleeping space), Smart TV and 2 beds, one full/queen size and one twin.

There is a parking pad right out front for Airbnb parking. The entrance to the Airbnb is through the top entrance when facing the house from the parking area. PLEASE NOTE: THE ENTRANCE FOR THIS AIRBNB IS THE TOP DOOR ENTRANCE, THERE IS ANOTHER AIRBNB AT THE BOTTOM HOUSE. PLEASE USE TOP DOOR ENTRANCE.
"Key" Access to the Space is through an app called August. I will send a link via text once you book and it will instruct you to download the app and create an account, once you do that you will see your invitation there. Then, once you arrive at the front door, you will open the app and see a red dot, tap the dot and it will turn green and unlock the door. To re-lock, just tap the green dot. It's slick and simple and you have no physical keys to keep track of or worry about losing!

The Mountaineer Suite is situated on 2 floors. Kitchen and bathroom on the first floor and stairs lead you up to the loft area where you'll find an open floor plan with living room, 2 beds and a desk area. The entrance is located on the upper deck area.

Just keep in mind that the Airbnb does have 2 levels, there is a narrow stairway leading up to the loft area, which is the main living space with living room and beds. Kitchen and bathroom are on the first level.

- "Great location , good people , zero trouble" - "The property is clean and quiet. It is fitting for a couple. We had WiFi issues as I was trying to work away from home while my husband was at a golf tournament. Nicely decorated. The furniture is more like college furniture so not very comfortable to me. Although my husband said he slept great. I had some communication issues with the host after booking but he made it right and during the stay they were very accommodating. We decided not to bring our dog and glad we didn’t as it is an upstairs apartment in a business district and there was no mention of a pet fee in the advertisement but they did mention one right before we left for our trip. Very convenient to downtown. Overall clean, convenient and acccomodating. "

The doors to come in to the entrance need to be fixed as they were broken and anyone could get in. The description I saw mentioned patio - grill - balconies This place had none of those. Check in clerk sent us to park near a back entrance labeled in contruction with no lighting at diir nor in parking area we were parked.(Note room was set up and advertised to have refridge and microwave)The room we got was about normal for a horel roo. However we had no lamps, no refrigerator, no microwave i the room. Finally got desk clerk to find a lamp (not working well) and she had maintenance bring a the other items next day. Refrigerator was noisey. Overheard cleanig prople discussing the next morning about having trouble getting rid of the musty/moldy smelling from a room down the hall.Breakfast (and take note there was a wedding in the place over the weekend) was some toast with peanut butter and jelly, a few cold mass produced brakfast sandwiches you hzd to jheat up (seenbetter in gas startion) a few apples and orages with instant oatmeal packets. Yes they had hat water for the oatmeal and some coffee (most days the had no juice and bever saw Milk)Saw resturaunt on site but it was never open and the staff couldnt tell me if / or when it eould be.Staff were friendly a gelped find a place nearby for breakfast) but asked another staff about other places to eat and they didn't know the area)"

- "I walked to the front desk, using a walker, and was handed the room keys to be informed that the elevator was out and to take the two flights up. Then given a room around the back of the building that was nothing like what we had booked thru VRBO. I had 3ft of hallway and a room to be in for my stay! The elevator was not working, restaurant was not open, all doors into the resort are always unlocked in fact they did not close, so anyone could walk in a side or back door at anytime. - "We thought we where going to have a suite with a patio and barbecue pit what we got was a small room with 2 double beds they changed our room to a room with 2 queen beds we had no microwave or refrigerator in the morning our coffee pot was broke so went down to lobby and there was know coffee and they had the fridge locked for continental breakfast ask desk clerk why she told us they where having hot breakfast in the fusion restaurant that’s why everything was locked s o we went to dinning room know one there so we got breakfast and sat down right before we where done they ask us we belong to a golf team we said know then they said we had to pay we apologize and said we thought it was the continental breakfast since the desk clerk told us to come here for hot breakfast and that everything thing was locked up front and know one was here to ask us long story short the one lady insinuated that we where lying and the other lady handed us a bill we had know problem paying if somebody told us about it being free to golfers only. Didn’t appreciate the way the staff treated us like we where trying to get away without paying bad management "

- "Drove 7 hours with my daughter to visit her college she is attending in the fall. The code to access the fob worked perfectly and I was able to enter the building. Upon arriving at the door to enter the apartment, the same code that was supposed to work for the apartment door did not work. I contacted the host via phone, text, email, and VRBO and they were unresponsive. I was not able to enter the property and had to find separate accommodations. No apology or acknowledgement from the host. I was able to receive a refund but it was a terrible experience. "

This ground level apartment is a 20 minute walk to downtown Morgantown as well as on the city bus line. The White park trails are a block away and it is near the Morgantown municipal ice rink. There are two grocery stores within a mile as well as a local tavern with amazing food and cold beer. ( one block away) The apartment is day bright and cozy at night. Queen bed.
