1910 cozy Carriage House. This was a true proper carriage house that once, before it was converted, housed a horse and carriage on the first floor. Located just blocks from restaurants, shops, and theaters in Overton Square, the zoo, and Overton Park. Brand new mattress April of 2024!!!

LOCALS-This is NOT a space for parties. There is only parking for 2 cars. Guest MUST be listed. Any other cars will be seen by neighbors and our exterior cameras and parties will be shut down immediately

The space
It is less than a block from Overton Park where the impressive Memphis Zoo is located and just a couple of blocks from all the shops, restaurants, and theaters of Overton Square.

This private guest house is located behind a main house but has it's own private entrance, yard and driveway. It has nice hardwood floors throughout. There is 1 Bedroom and 1 bath in the loft style area on the second floor. There is a full kitchen and laundry area.

If there's anything else you might need let us know and we will try to accommodate you. If you are coming for a special occasion we can help you plan as well with flowers, wine, etc waiting for you on your arrival.

There is a private driveway located beside the carriage house. The apt is located behind the main house. The door to the house has a code for entry. You will receive this code, as well as other check-in info via Airbnb message on the morning of your check-in date. There is security cameras located outside at the front door and driveway.

The cozy sofa downstairs is a great place to unwind. You can watch your choice of movies on the flatscreen television. Netflix access during your stay is complimentary. The living area is surrounded by tasteful contemporary decor. There are also a couple of guidebooks on the coffee table that are packed full of Memphis info.

In the kitchen, you will find a microwave, fridge and four burner cooktop with oven. Additionally, there is a wine bottle opener and Keurig machine. Keurig K-cups are complimentary throughout your stay. Cookware, silverware and dinnerware are also available for use.

The master bedroom boasts a charming queen bed featuring a firm, supportive memory foam mattress. You'll have plenty of space to place your clothing in the closet. Additionally, there is a flatscreen t.v. and DVD player. There is also a desk for your business needs.

The bathroom area has a shower/tub combo, vanity sink area and toilet. The linen closet is stocked full of freshly laundered towels and washcloths. There is plenty of soaps, shampoos, etc. in the closet as well.

If traveling with other guest we have an Airbnb a few houses down that also sleeps 4

It has a very open floor plan with one bedroom with a queen sized bed and one full bath. We provide shampoo, soap, conditioner etc. There is a large closet for storage with an ironing board, iron, and cleaning supplies. There is a kitchen with all you should need including a full sized refrigerator, gas cooktop, oven, and microwave. We also have a keurig with a variety of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. There is central heat and air. There is also Internet access, TV's in the living room and bedroom with a Amazon firesticks.

Upstairs balcony is to be used for fire escape(emergency)purposes only.

This is the south. There are mosquitos outside and occasionally a bug may make its way inside. We do have a pest contract so if you spot anything please let us know so we can get them out before their scheduled monthly time.

The stand-alone carriage house (separate from the main house) was renovated in 2015 and features an open floor plan with hardwood floors, a very comfortable KING bed with high-quality linens, a large couch in the living area (not a sleeper sofa, but could be comfortably used as a sleeping surface), a dresser and closet for clothes storage, new central heat and air, kitchenette (small refrigerator, 2 burner electric stove, microwave and coffee maker), bistro table for two, washer/ dryer and an large HD television with AT&T U-Verse cable/movie channels.

There is safe covered free OFF-STREET parking available for one (1) car in the driveway. We cannot accommodate two cars at this time as there is limited on-street parking available.

You will have private access to the carriage house and covered parking for one vehicle. We have a bluetooth printer in the main house which you may use while we are home. We also welcome you to use the seating area under our porte-cochere, but we ask for privacy in our back yard area.

This one bedroom private cottage is tucked back in a little oasis we created for our family and guests. The cottage sits in the middle of the property and is not attached to any other buildings - there are no shared walls. Because the cottage is the farthest back on the property, when you are on the screened in back porch there are no buildings in view. This is our home and a working property; we often walk back and forth between buildings and you may see us. You will still have complete privacy.

The bed sits high on the bed frame, so if there are any mobility issues it may be difficult to get into the bed.
