The Shop is a detached home from the main home. The shop offers privacy and a great place to stay for quick trips as well as business trips in the Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas.

We have privacy for guest with the ability for a place that offers a Host nearby if the guest would like company.

Spaces guest may use are the porch off of the main home, the patio, fire pit.

There are extensive sidewalks for a walk or run around the neighborhood & large public area around the High School across the street from the Neighborhood.

There are many public parks, shopping and other amenities near by.




This is a great location for access to Shelton State, Alabama Fire College, Stillman college or The University of Alabama. In the spring and summer months the Amphitheatre provides Entertainment venues. This BnB provides quick easy access to down town for concert goers.

The city of Tuscaloosa and County have many public parks and areas that are attractive for people who are visiting the City.

If nothing else, a patio, chair and a fire pit are always available for reading, enjoying the out door amenities of the home or gathering for a place to enjoy a star lit evening.

Mike and Sandy are close by if someone wants to just to hang on the porch or sit by a fire.

Other things to note
We have many fast food restaurants nearby for a quick meal. Wallgreens, CVS & Publix are located at the turn off of a Major highway.

This is a very quick and easy place to “grab and go” for something quick.

Our favorite restaurant for a good meal is Walk-ons at the corner of 69S and Skyland Boulevard.

Located on the second floor the Sunset Vista King Room is a spacious retreat with a beautiful view of the sunset that boast into the room each evening. Our loft is a hidden gem, like a speakeasy: private and cozy, and once you are here, you'll have to come back! On the first floor is a cozy sitting/dining/viewing area, and right up the spiral staircase, you'll find televisions, games & more places to relax! Because this is a football town, you'll be able to see a TV from any part of the loft! Sports aren't your thing? We have music & movies ready on our streaming devices. Ready for bed? Choose from a futon, twin mattress, or queen air mattress.

The space
Our outdoor area is a shared space featuring a grill, flat top, fire pit, and a large covered deck with TV's (yes, plural)! Our yard includes a shaded walking path, basketball court, tire swing and plenty of green space! You might even meet some neighbors who are up for a game! When it comes time to relax, enjoy our back porch swing or one of our hammocks.
