The space
Furnished with a super king bed ( or two singles) as well as a sofa bed that converts to a double. Kitchenette is fully stocked to cook a full roast dinner however there are plenty of takeaway options and restaurants to sample locally. Bathroom includes a shower and bathroom vanity. Washing machine is located in the kitchen ( byo washing powder). There is a TV and standard channels available as well as wifi. Towels, linen are all supplied and if you choose a weekly or monthly rental option these will refreshed weekly. Basic Tea and Coffee is provided upon arrival.
There is a private patio and fenced area that is completely yours for your stay. One car park is provided.

please note in covid times we adhere to strict cleaning services and antibacterial cleaning products used. hand sanitiser and QR codes is on display in the studio for check in purposes.

Handy to the golf course, Ohiwa wharf, Port Ohope Store and Cafe. 10mins drive to the main Ohope shops.

Our guesthouse is perfectly located at Ohope Beach between Ohiwa Harbour and the South Pacific Ocean - less that 1 minute walk to each. You can hear the ocean while lying in bed :)

'The DogBox' got its name when my dog Cooper (RIP) refused to come into our new house when we built it, preferring to sleep in the guesthouse.

The space
The DogBox has a full kitchen with dishwasher, rangehood, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, full sized fridge/freezer. It is also fully equipped as far as cutlery, crockery, pots, pans bowls, utensils etc goes.

It has a Nespresso coffee pod machine and we will supply a few pods, so bring more if you’re a big coffee drinker.

The bedroom is small …… when building we only had a certain amount of area to use and decided full sized living areas were more important :) It has a very comfortable queen sized bed (with very good bed linen) in a single bedroom - there is not a huge amount of room on each side of the bed so would not be suitable for wheelchair etc. There is a dressing table, a basket stack, and a hanging rack in the bedroom.

The TV is not a smart tv.

We are dog friendly (sorry no cats), and our property is fully fenced, so feel free to bring your dog BUT ONLY IF:
* Your dog is very well socialised
* Your dog doesn’t dig holes or bark excessively
* You pick up the poos & dispose of in bin in a poo bag as soon as they hit the ground
* Your dog DOES NOT get up on the furniture
* I don’t mind your dog sleeping inside but only if it’s trained to sleep on it’s own bed or blanket which you’ll need to bring with you
* Please bring dog towels with you as I don’t really want wet dogs inside
* I don’t want your dog using my towels, blankets or linen
* I know there are a lot of dog rules but please respect them. Your failure to follow them will definitely be reflected in the feedback I post about you :)
* A $20 dog fee (per stay) will be charged at the checkout

If you do decide to stay at our accommodation, could you please read the check-in instructions which will show in this listing once you confirm, incase I am out and about when you arrive. They will give you instructions regarding the key lock-box :)

While you are staying there is no need to keep the farm style gate (beside the lockbox) shut during the day, but for added security you can shut it during the night. The choice is yours tho :)
