- "Loved our recent stay at these quaint, homey cabins. We had 3 kids with us - 15,13, and 9. We had the Polar Bear cabin, which had 3 bedrooms. The kitchen was equipped well enough with what we needed, and each room had a queen size bed. There was also a sofa bed in the living room. The cabin itself was what you'd expect in the great outdoors - rustic, simple, and with the occasional critter or two. The area surrounding the cabin was beautiful, and the Vallecito Lake was within walking distance. We explored during the day and enjoyed spending the evenings back at the property playing cards at the picnic table, badminton matches, ladderball, horseshoes, and swinging on the playset. The property manager was available when needed and kind, helping us choose a fantastic hike and recommend local establishments nearby. We will happily choose Bear Paw Lodge again when we visit Colorado!"

Heiden’s Hideaway, located outside Bayfield, CO in the majestic San Juan Mountains, is the perfect getaway for any season of the year. This 2-story cabin is on 2 acres of serene wilderness, surrounded by tall pine trees in the beautiful community of Forest Lakes, Colorado. Within this community we have Lake Simpatico,(2 miles from the cabin), a private 25 acre lake that is stocked with fish waiting to bite and does not require a fishing license. It is located 6 miles north of Bayfield where you can find amenities such as grocery stores and several restaurants for your added convenience. (Four wheel drive and/or chains necessary during winter months).

The cabin is also located only 20 miles south of Vallecito Lake, one of the largest lakes in Colorado where you can enjoy endless activities such as, hiking, boating, fishing, horseback riding, jet skiing in the summer, ice fishing, skiing, tubing and snow shoeing in the winter. You can also easily enjoy the superb shopping and dining in the historic city of Durango, only 30 miles away.

The cabin is available all year and throughout the hunting season and is located near over a half million acres of public land and big game habitat and is a top pick for hunting Elk, Mule Deer and Turkey. Guided hunting trips are available.

Whether you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy some truly quiet time to rejuvenate or if you are an outdoors enthusiast and have an adventurous spirit, our home away from home has access to it all.

The cabin is nicely furnished and has all modern conveniences. It features a beautiful covered front porch which is a favorite place to enjoy a morning coffee, take in the beautiful surroundings and watch the wildlife meandering by including deer, elk and if you are real lucky a bear. (Please keep your food indoors and trash in designated containers). Enjoy high ceilings, lots of natural light, two bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. On the first floor you will also find a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy living room with comfy recliners and chairs, ceiling fan, and 47” HD TV. A dining area with a large 6 person dining table is the perfect place to enjoy dinner or play games with your friends and family. Downstairs you will also find a bedroom with full size bed and large sliding doors to a patio where you could enjoy the scenery. The full bathroom which includes a bathtub and a shower is also located on the first floor. Upstairs you will find a loft bedroom with a king size bed, a futon couch/bed, a twin folding bed, desk/workstation, and a flat screen HD TV. A propane bbq is included. Located approximately 8,000 feet in elevation, the summers tend to be dry and mild with temperatures ranging in the 60’s to the 80’s and the winters are cold and snowy. We have two independent cabins next to one another in a friendly neighborhood that offers secluded lakefront access to the shoreline. Nothing but trees and a 100' natural, deer trail (which can be steep at points) down to your private spot on the lake where you can swim, fish, and enjoy! Sunny, gourmet kitchen stocked with just about everything you will need!

The bedroom offers a new medium firm queen mattress and charming décor. The living room views the lake where you can stay tuned with a flat screen TV and watch Netflix and enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi. There is a full bathroom stocked with towels and some toiletries, and a combined kitchen dining room stocked with everything need to fancy your culinary delights!

The large covered patio features plenty of seating and a charcoal BBQ for alfresco dining, making it an ideal spot for gatherings. Please note that smoking is not permitted inside the cabin, but we do provide a designated smoking bin on the patio for ashes and cigarette butts. Please shut both front doors and have window closed so the smoke does not enter the cabin, and thank you!

And, for those looking to explore the lake, we provide a canoe for your adventures, along with fishing poles for a delightful day of angling. Kept at the cabin is a stand-up paddleboard that can be carted to the lake's shoreline; we also supply oars, and standard sized life jackets. Please note- You are responsible for your family's safety, and using any trail or watersport provided, you are doing so "At your own risk".
The canoe, SUP and BBQ are not available from the end of October until mid-Spring.

Due to the unique landscape, trash companies are unable to use their hydraulic lifts to pick up containers, so we ask that all guests please use the dumpsters located on the main road for your trash disposal. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our community clean and beautiful.

We’re pet-friendly! One to two dogs are welcome for a $50 fee, pets are not allowed on the furniture or linens, please ensure they are crated if left alone in the cabin; always under your control; picked up after outside; any flea and tick issues resolved before your stay.

Quiet cabin nestled in the mountains near all that Southwest Colorado offers. One mile from the lake and the national forest hiking, fishing, biking, and more. 45 minutes from Durango with shopping, rafting, DSNGRR Train, mountain biking, and hiking. Relax, unplug, and make memories.

This is a fun-filled family property. Enjoy quiet mornings in the Hammocks or Adirondack chairs throughout the property watching the sun come up in the valley. This is a great time to see deer in the yard eating the grass and flowers.

The Miners cabin is our guest cabin that is nestled in amongst 100 ft tall Blue Spruce trees with a nice front porch with a picnic table. On the main floor, you will find the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom with 2 comfortable twin beds. Upstairs is a spacious room with a king bed and a sitting area with a queen-sized futon. Note that upstairs is accessed by a set of steep stairs.

Shawn provides a fly fishing lesson for a fee if interested and we did that and the kids learned a lot from him! We had a great time watching them learn the art of fly fishing. He suggested a guide service for the lake and it was great! We tried fishing for Pike but didn't get any, but caught lots of trout! Shawn also gave us recommendations on restaurants to try out and we went to all the ones he suggested and they were terrific! He is very kind and let us borrow his ice chest since we forgot ours. The only draw backs are that you can't fish in the pond (which we understood, just want people to be aware) and that while the Vallecito creek is on the property it is a little hard to access and difficult to fish in because there is quite a bit of brush that your pole will get hung in. The lake and other parts of the river are a quick drive though so we did that. This area is very quiet and quaint and we loved sitting around the firepit at night talking about our day. A great way to unwind and unplug."

A cute cabin with an ideal location. It is easy to find, and it is just off the county road with plenty of parking space. Vallecito Lake is directly across the street as well as the boat marina where you can rent a pontoon, kayak, paddle board, and more. The front porch offers beautiful views of the mountain and lake, and you can even enjoy the lakeside view from the dining table. There are country markets up the road, hiking trails, a restaurant, and plenty of water activities to enjoy. In the winter, enjoy ice fishing, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and more. Durango is about 25 minutes from Durango during the summer and about 35 to 40 min during the winter, depending on snowpack.

- "Great little cabin with a beautiful view. There are a couple of cabins pretty close by which some of them are rentals as well. We stayed a week and unfortunately during the weekend, Saturday night and Sunday as well as the following Friday night there were some pretty loud people in one of the rentals which became really annoying. During the week it was quiet as can be so if that is what you are looking for, definitely book Monday through Thursday. The lake is not crowded at all so perfect for paddle boarding and kayaking. There is a gorgeous hike only 15 minutes away from the cabin with incredible views. The skies are stunning at night, easy access to the lake and just a wonderful place to relax."

(A note about WiFi: because our area does not have fiber internet, outages can happen, after all, we are in rural Colorado! But don't you worry, we have a lot of DVDs perfect for all ages. As well as Verizon is the only true phone provider that is reliable).

Or pour some hot cocoa and gather around the backyard fire pit or in the hot tub, looking out at the expansive skies. It’s especially idyllic when snow is falling softly! Colorado is where rolling plains meet the Rocky Mountains, and we captured that in our decor, using classic rustic details to complement an ideal stay.

Bedrooms include a master with a king bed with a custom ceiling flat-screen TV. Sleep two more in the second bedroom with a queen bed. Additionally, we provide an air mattress or the comfy sectional couch to sleep two more. Pine River Retreat is a riverfront cabin where you can enjoy access to a HUGE section of the gorgeous Pine River while staying in this cozy 2- bedroom mountain chic cabin just outside of Bayfield, near Durango.

The cabin was constructed in 2020, with all new decor, furniture and appliances. This mountain chic home is designed for comfort, with two bedrooms, 1.5 baths, sleeping up to six people. A covered patio overlooks the river valley below, and mountains in the distance. Electric grill on deck. On the upper level of the home, are two bedrooms, each with king size bed. A three-quarter bath with large shower serves the two bedrooms. The kitchen is very well stocked and leads out to the patio. Streaming TV only at this cabin. Washer/Dryer, Central AC.

Access to the Pine River is by means of a short walk down a gently sloping hillside through pasture and woods. The King Ditch, a large man-made canal, used for downstream agricultural irrigation, is traversed by a bridge over the waterway. After crossing the bridge, guests are very near the river’s edge, where there is a long stretch of wooded meadow and mixed shoreline of grass and river rock.

This is a fantastic private section of the Pine River, where the sound of mountain waters may be a rapid roar, or a gentle cascade, depending on the seasonal water flow level. Catch and release fishing is excellent in several spots along the river. This is a perfect spot to hone one’s fly-fishing skills. There are nice, flat areas for picnicking, lounging, short hikes in the river bottom and relaxing, outdoor fun.

LOCATION

Nestled on the eastern shore of Vallecito Reservoir, the cabins are surrounded by 961 acres of recreational land, providing plenty of outdoor activities right nearby, and averages over 300 sunny days a year. Croll Cabins is 45 minutes from Durango, Colorado, known for its Durango to Silverton train ride and historic downtown. Purgatory Ski Area is just over an hour, and Wolf Creek Ski area is an hour and a half. Pagosa Springs, CO is about an hour and a half away, boasting of the world’s deepest hot springs.

The living area is quaint and cozy. The dining area seats eight people, with an additional table on the screened-in porch for enjoying pleasant evenings. There is a Smart TV with Starlink Internet for Streaming. Firewood is provided during cooler weather.

Guest Access

The cabin and the entire Croll Cabins Property (appx. 15 acres) are available for guest use, providing plenty of places to walk and green space for games. Brock Hillside is located approximately 200 yards uphill from the lake, surrounded by Ponderosa, hemlock, and aspen trees. The property is bordered by San Juan National Forest and Vallecito Reservoir.

Croll Cabins provides kayaks, a canoe, and paddleboards for guest use, free of charge; life jackets are also provided and required.

The property has many picnic tables and grills, including at least one for each cabin. Additional tables can be moved on an as-needed basis.

DAY USE FEE

Group events (such as birthday parties and family gatherings) are allowed on the property for the day, with a curfew of 9 PM. A charge of $10 per day per person applies. Price Bunkhouse has a limit of 16 people (including renters).

ACCESS TO PROPERTY

Access is via a private dirt road (.5mi from North, 4.5mi from South); while the road is open to the public from May – September, it may be gated during the rest of the year, access codes will be provided as needed. Access from the South is gated by the Forest Service for Cross Country Skiing from December to April. Cabins accessible via groomed ski trails snow permitting, December – April.

LAKE LEVELS

Vallecito is a reservoir that provides water for La Plata County. As such, we have no control over lake levels which can vary as much as 20 feet. It isn’t uncommon for water levels to be so high that it can affect plumbing in a few of the cabins for a few weeks during the summer. Port-a-potties will be on-site near affected cabins if this is the case. There is also a bath/shower house up the hill for use in extreme cases. We understand this can be frustrating and will provide a discount if this affects your stay.
Due to the nature of the property and the cabin size, for each undeclared guest that exceeds the number of people the cabin sleeps, there will be a $100 fine per person per night. Please be mindful of the cabin’s capacity when booking and plan accordingly. Each cabin is different, and a larger cabin might suit your group better.

WINTER ACCESS

4WD/AWD May be required from November / March, the property is plowed, however, one hill must be traversed for access, and we cannot guarantee snow will be plowed at arrival.

Newly renovated 2 Bedroom 1 bath Cabin with large yard that sits along a big beautiful meadow at the base of Weminuche Wilderness. The views are breathtaking as you look out to the towering peaks that reach over 13 thousand feet. With newly remodeled floor, bathroom, and kitchen you'll enjoy every minute of your stay. Master bedroom has a spacious queen size bed along with plenty of lighting and large clothes dresser. The second bedroom has two twin size beds along with a dresser and lamp. Both bedrooms have plenty of space in the closets to hang things up. Just off the kitchen there is a queen size couch hide-a-bed. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of dishes, cookware, both a full size coffee pot and Keruig machine with supplied pods, coffee and filters. There is several ice trays in the freezer. In the living room you'll find a smart TV along with a couple board games if you decide to stay inside. During Summer and Fall there is a cold water only washing machine and clothes dryer if you need to do any laundry. The cabin is less then a quarter mile from a popular trailhead that leads deep into the wilderness. If boating and fishing is your thing you'll love how close you are to Vallecito Reservoir where there's awesome Trout, Pike, Walleye, Small mouth Bass, and Kokanee salmon. There is 2 rivers that feed the lake where you can fly fish. If horseback riding is more your liking there are several companies that do horseback rides during the summer months. Minutes away are several trailheads that lead to many hours of exploring and adventures in one of Colorado's largest wildernesses. If you want to bring an RV or trailer you'll find lots of space for parking as well as an RV dump station on the property. This is a dog friendly property but we do have a dog fee as well as a limit of 2 dogs. We just ask that your furry friends do not get on any of the furniture or beds please.

LOCATION

Nestled on the eastern shore of Vallecito Reservoir, the cabins are surrounded by 961 acres of recreational land, providing plenty of outdoor activities right nearby, and averages over 300 sunny days a year. Croll Cabins is 45 minutes from Durango, Colorado, known for its Durango to Silverton train ride and historic downtown. Purgatory Ski Area is just over an hour, and Wolf Creek Ski area is an hour and a half. Pagosa Springs, CO is about an hour and a half away, boasting of the world’s deepest hot springs.

The living area is warm and inviting. It has a wood stove, a comfy sectional, and a dining table with seating for six people. The Smart TV has Starlink Internet for Streaming. Firewood is provided during cooler weather.

Guest Access

The cabin and the entire Croll Cabins Property (appx. 15 acres) are available for guest use, providing plenty of places to walk and green space for games. The property is bordered by San Juan National Forest and Vallecito Reservoir.

Peterson Porch is a lakefront/riverfront cabin (seasonal water levels/rainfall dependent - see below).

Croll Cabins has kayaks, a canoe, and paddleboards for guest use, free of charge; life jackets are also provided and required.

The property has many picnic tables and grills, including at least one for each cabin. Additional tables can be moved on an as-needed basis.

DAY USE FEE

Group events (such as birthday parties and family gatherings) are allowed on the property for the day, with a curfew of 9 PM. A charge of $10 per day per person applies. Price Bunkhouse has a limit of 12 people (including renters).

ACCESS TO PROPERTY

Access is via a private dirt road (.5mi from North, 4.5mi from South); while the road is open to the public from May – September, it may be gated during the rest of the year, access codes will be provided as needed. Access from the South is gated by the Forest Service for Cross Country Skiing from December to April. Cabins accessible via groomed ski trails snow permitting, December – April.

LAKE LEVELS

Vallecito is a reservoir that provides water for La Plata County. As such, we have no control over lake levels and can vary as much as 20 feet. It isn’t uncommon for water levels to be so high that it can affect plumbing in a few of the cabins for a few weeks during the summer. Port-a-potties will be on-site near affected cabins if this is the case. There is also a bath/shower house up the hill for use in extreme cases. We understand this can be frustrating and will provide a discount if this affects your stay.
Due to the nature of the property and the cabin siz, for each undeclared guest that exceeds the number of people the cabin sleeps, there will be a $100 fine per person per night. Please be mindful of the cabin’s capacity when booking and plan accordingly. Each cabin is different, and a larger cabin might suit your group better.

WINTER ACCESS

4WD/AWD May be required from November / March, the property is plowed, however, one hill must be traversed for access, and we cannot guarantee snow will be plowed at arrival.

The 450ish square foot STUDIO cabin offers beautiful antique distressed reclaimed barn wood floors, a queen sized bed (super comfortable, tested and approved by Osa), all kitchen essentials (pots/pans/coffee maker/refrigerator, electric oven/stove top etc), open floor plan, bathroom with a stand up shower, and FIBER OPTIC INTERNET (no TV).
There is a fire pit outside, electric baseboard heating, and space heaters.

Guest access

Q. Why are we called Vallecito Roots?

A. The Vallecito area to my partner and I, is about getting back to your roots, not to be consumed by the materialistic things of life but rather taking pleasure in the views, the trails, the area, the little to no commercialism, etc. Hence the cabin is a comfortable recharging spot. It is not exactly meant for someone to be holed up in for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with all of life's luxuries.

Q. Are there other properties around the cabin?

A. Yes. Please look at photo #11, and read the caption for the photo: there are cabins to the North and South of the property. There are also a couple of houses behind the cabin. We are right off a county road.

Q. The "lake" is actually a reservoir, not a lake. Why's that important?

A. Lakes like Lake Michigan, Superior, Erie, etc. are meant to be full of water 24/7/365. This is a reservoir that supplies drinking/agricultural water to people downstream, so the Reservoir level fluctuates. Expectations of water level:
April/May- Reservoir is filling up (so it will be low)
June/July/August- Reservoir is close to full, and draining (great for boating)
September/October/November- Reservoir is low/draining
December/January/February/March- Reservoir has snow and ice on it but appears low.

Q. Are there bugs?

A.Of course! This is a dead-end road, bordered by The National Forest and Weminuche Wilderness (the largest wilderness area in the state of Colorado). Any and all houses, cabins, and rentals have spiders and other bugs in them. Will they be crawling on you when you sleep? Not at all, they aren’t running rampant, but at times you may see a spider or bug in the house. There are mosquitoes in the Vallecito area.

Q. Who Cleans the property?

A. Either we do or a friend does. Please contact us if there is an issue..


Q. What type of Amenities can I expect?

A. We advertise this as a BASIC cabin with the BASIC NECESSITIES to living. No, we don’t have hot tubs, electric can openers, and all the fanciest gadgets. We believe in getting back to your ROOTS. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans/a coffee maker/coffee/oven/refrigerator/wine bottle opener.

Q. Does the cabin smell?

A. Smells like a cabin! We had a wood-burning stove and have switched to a pellet stove.

Q. Any specific rules we should know about the cabin?

A. Yes!!!! Four of them to be precise!

a. No smoking in/on the property of the cabin. The smell of cigarettes/cigars/marijuana/hookah/etc stays with the person. Please don't ruin it for the guests that follow you. Any smoking in the cabin will result in professional cleaning that costs $2-3/square foot for a 440ish square foot cabin, which will be paid for by the guest.

b. We are on a septic system, so only flush human waste and toilet paper. All wet wipes (even "flushable wet wipes"), feminine products, paper towels, and other stuff must be thrown away. If you are a world traveler you will know that in most countries you can't even flush toilet paper, if you are comfortable with this, please just throw the used toilet paper in the trash. I know it seems gross, but clogs, backups, etc. happen 99% of the time because of toilet papers, wet wipes, feminine hygiene products, etc...

c. Please respect quiet hours. There are neighbors. I know campfires are fun and should be enjoyed, but please keep outside noise to a minimum between 9 pm-7 am.

d. See "c" above. We respect our neighbors and our neighbors communicate with us. When guests book for "two people" and 10 show up with tents, we get a phone call from our neighbors. The cabin is meant for individuals/couples. If couples have a kid(s) who want to join, great, let us know. There is no extra fee but we can't have tents popping up or party sizes of more than 4 at the cabin. The cabin septic can't sustain that. The property won't allow for it. Our small HOA won't allow for it and you will be removed.

Q. Is there a Fire Pit?
A. Yes, please look at the photos and read the captions! We do not provide firewood. It is not uncommon for a guest to go through 4-6 bundles of wood per night. That would be $10-20 of wood per night. Therefore we do not provide firewood. You can buy it at the grocery stores or up the road (north) about a mile on your left-hand side. There is a sign advertising it. Bring cash. I can't post a link here but you can check La Plata County Fire Restrictions to see if we currently have a fire ban. If we are in Stage 1, 2, 3, or 4 fire ban, there are NO CAMPFIRES.

Q. Proximity to Bayfield, Durango, Pagosa, Silverton?

A. We know we look close to Silverton on the map, as the crow flies it's 20 miles! We are on a DEAD END road. You have to backtrack to go to Silverton!!!

Pagosa ~59 miles or 70ish minutes
Silverton ~70 miles or 90ish minutes
Purgatory Ski Resort is ~51 miles or 70ish minutes

Q. Cell Service at Vallecito?

A. Verizon/AT&T-Works on the North End of the reservoir (where the cabin is)
T-mobile/Sprint- does not work.
We do not always have cell service, so please email/message us on Airbnb as well as try our cell phones if you need anything

Q. Winter Bookings (November-April) what should I expect for snow?

A. If you are unsure about the weather, please ask! The cabin is located at 8,000 feet in the Colorado Mountains! Thankfully we are off of a county road, so it does get plowed! I do come up to shovel the driveway/walkway on my off time. I work 48 hours on and 96 hours off. If it snows while I am on at work, I come right after I get off shift.

Q. High Clearance Vehicle or Regular Sedan? 4wd, AWD, or 2wd?

A. April-November- regular sedan, 2wd is just fine
December-March- 99% of the time, a regular sedan with 2wd is just fine. The only time a 2wd low-clearance sedan is not okay is if it is an active blizzard/snowstorm. We make the commute/drive 99% of the time in a 2wd Prius (with good tires). I have also driven during an active snowstorm in the Prius and made it fine, BUT I HAVE GOOD ALL SEASON TIRES. Pulling in/out of the driveway you'll be okay 99% of the time with 2wd with GOOD TIRES. I can not emphasize having good tires.

Q. Is there an ideal guest for the cabin?

A. We get it, we are the cheapest place up at Vallecito, and a lot of people are eager to book solely off the price. The cabin is amazing/awesome, but we really target low-key, non-party people who are self-sufficient. We are available if you need anything for your stay, but most of our guests choose the cabin because they want to more or less be left alone and we are okay and encourage this. If you need high-end amenities, if you need daily assistance/contact, our cabin is not going to be for you.

Long story short: All in all, we want you to have the best time possible. We aren't trying to deter you from booking, we want you to know EXACTLY what you're getting. TRANSPARENCY is our goal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Are we the fanciest vacation rental? Not at all, we don’t want to be either. We want and enjoy the simplicity of simple living. We do want you to have a five-star stay in every category. Please let us know how we can achieve that. • Park quiet hours of 9pm-7am is enforced

• Extra parking for vehicles and trailers is available but not guaranteed. Please reach out to us to arrange prior to arrival.

Located 40 minutes northeast of Durango, CO, Blue Spruce RV Park & Cabins is a quiet, full amenity campground in The Vallecito Lake Community. Our park is nestled in The San Juan National Forest and backs up to the mountains. The park is a short drive to Vallecito Lake and surrounded by great hiking trails and outdoor activities. Our amenities include a dining hall for group events, game room with parlor games (pool tables, air hockey, darts), basketball court, horseshoe pit, ping pong table, and a great outdoor pavilion. We offer multiple cabins, park apartments, and pre-setup RV's for rent. We are a perfect launching point for endless outdoor fun with amenities to keep you and your kids busy when back at the park.

A personal gas grill, picnic table, and firepit are setup outside your cabin for the optimal camping experience!

This is a small private cabin at Elk Point Lodge- a peaceful and secluded resort tucked in the pines on the eastern shore of Vallecito Reservoir - the quiet side. There is convenient free lake access from this cabin.

The space
Inside the cozy studio is a queen-sized bed, a small bathroom with a shower, a kitchen and a dining area. The kitchen has an apartment sized fridge, microwave, sink, coffee maker, and hot plate (no stove or oven). The small deck is a great place to watch the horses, enjoy views of the lake through the trees, and keep an eye out for Sasquatch.

We are located 2 miles down an unpaved, but well maintained, county road. Driveways are gravel/dirt. All cabins have steps up to deck to access front door.

Security Device Disclosure: We have a ring doorbell at the self checkin station. It is facing the public parking area, and does not record, the camera only turns on if a guest rings for assistance. There are not recording devices at or inside any of the individual cabins. There are several cameras posted around the property on utility buildings for general property security (we are very rural).

Refunds/Cancellations
Deposits are refundable with 30 or more days cancellation notice prior to the check-in date. No refunds of deposit on cancellations made less than 30 days prior to check-in unless Cabin is re-rented. $50 accounting fee, per Cabin, is deducted from all cancellation refunds canceled within 30 days of check-in (pending vacancy is filled). No refunds for early departure.

Pet Policy
Please crate your pet if left unattended for any length of time in your cabin. There is a $30.00 pet fee, with a maximum of two pets per Cabin.

There is a $100 Refundable pet deposit required at Check-in.

There is a $250 charge for smoking within the cabins. All cabins are non-smoking.

There will be a cabin inspection following check-out. Guests are responsible for all damages within their cabin. These charges can billed following check-out.

A cute cabin with an ideal location. It is easy to find, and it is just off the county road with plenty of parking space. Vallecito Lake is directly across the street as well as the boat marina where you can rent a pontoon, kayak, paddle board, and more. The front porch offers beautiful views of the mountain and lake, and you can also enjoy the lakeside view from the dining table. Durango is about 25 minutes from Durango during the summer and about 35 to 40 min during the winter.

The space
There are hiking trails, country markets, a restaurant, and one gas station just north of the cabin a few miles up the road. There is also a walking path across the street from the cabin that goes all the way to the north end of the lake. Enjoy seasonal sport activities all year round: fishing, boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, picnics by the lake, swimming, ice fishing, sledding, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and more.
