- "We had a great stay at this mountain home! It had all the comforts of home, wonderfully comfortable beds, nice bedding, perfectly stocked kitchen, in a beautiful location. The loft area was a big hit with the kids. The location is perfect for skiing as long as someone helped shuttle the gear. We would definitely enjoy staying here again, possibly in the summer for nearby mountain biking or fishing." - "It's a cute house with plenty of room. The hot tub was by far the best feature! The last day we got about 6 inches of snow that made it quite a challenge for our two wheel drive rental to get up the last hill to the house. But they had plowed by the next day. The highway leading up to Powderhorn was always clear."

Having the privacy fence made it feel like you were in your own little world. The grocery store was just minutes away. The host communication was great!" - "Without knowing the area my first impression as we drove through the neighborhood was that it was a little shady. This feeling however quickly disappeared as we opened the gates to the property and drove in. It was even better when we went inside, extremely clean, great smelling, everything seemed brand new. All of the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. Everything worked great and was extremely cozy. The hot tub was fresh and the yard inviting. Very peaceful and private with the fully fenced, high walled yard. It was very close to great hiking, shopping and restaurants. We will definitely stay again if we are back in the area."

- "Awesome place to stay at" - "This cabin was absolutely perfect for our family mini getaway for annual trip. The cabin is completely well kept, comfortable and cozy all in one! My husband has 2 set weeks a year off so we booked late and my nephew picked this property. We enjoyed time with 4 generations of our family and everyone felt right at home. We enjoyed 2 days just lounging and relaxing and another at Vega fishing and ATV'ing. Amber was amazing at communication when some cows showed up searching for water, we did give them some since they were making a mess by the rainwater runoff. We enjoyed them, the birds, deer, and rabbits as we all visited while we watched from the amazing wrap around deck! The views and tranquility were just what we needed while my nephew loved the darts and Ping pong table!"

Most of all we enjoyed the location and beautiful views!" - "Beautiful, updated VRBO at the base of Powderhorn. Interior was spectacular with upgrades throughout. - "Last weekend, we had the absolute pleasure of staying at a breathtaking cabin near Powderhorn, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! Here’s a breakdown of what made this getaway so special:The cabin is perfectly situated right next to Powderhorn Ski Resort with stunning mountain views that you can enjoy from the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. Whether you’re relaxing inside or out on the wraparound porch, the scenery is incredible. You are right next to any outdoor activities that you would want to enjoy. The sleeping arrangements were fantastic, with a king bed in the main bedroom and queen beds in the others, including a unique queen bunk bed in one room. Radiant floor heating and ceiling fans kept us comfortable throughout our stay. The keyless entry was convenient, and it was great having essentials like linens, towels, and toiletries provided. Some places do not have everything you need, but we had every cooking utensil or pots and pans that we might have needed. The living area was cozy and inviting, especially with the wood-burning fireplace — firewood was provided, which was a thoughtful touch. We enjoyed movie nights on the Roku TV and made use of the board games and books available. The wraparound porch was a highlight for us! It offered comfortable seating and a fire table where we spent many evenings soaking in the crisp mountain air. The grill and smoker were perfect for outdoor cooking, and the views from the porch were absolutely mesmerizing.Sleep arrangements we great. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor, which were convenient for us because we traveled with our elderly parents. Parking was straightforward, with room for two vehicles in the driveway. This cabin provided the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation, and it’s clear that a lot of care went into making it a welcoming retreat. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a fun-filled family trip, this property is a gem on the Western Slope. We can’t wait to return!"

- "The staff at the Molina center were very friendly, the location is very clean and well kept, and the scenery is gorgeous. Perfect stop over if you are looking to break up a long drive (like we were) or just get in some serenity in this beautiful mountain valley." - "We really enjoyed the beautiful area this is located in. The check in process was great! We were greeted and shown where to park and the house. We did have a lot of flies in our room that were a little bothersome."

- "Worked for our time in grand junction. " - "The property was clean and it was easy to access but... this ad says that there is one bed and one bath. There is no bathroom in the building. You have to walk across the street to the public bathrooms (which are clean). This is an RV park. It would have been five stars if they had an accurate description of the property. "

- "We had a wedding to attend at Vega Lake and made a weekend getaway out of it. We were the only ones on the backside of the property and it was so quiet and peaceful. It was just the perfect weekend getaway we needed to enjoy our little family ❤️" - "Only downfall was difficulty with getting the TV to work. Suggestions on troubleshooting or responding to TXM ( because calls didn’t go through would be helpful.) Eventually( 3 days later), got it going in our room, however never in the common room where we like to have coffee and breakfast in the AM and listen to the news."

Cozy, bright 1000sq ft cabin with great room, fireplace and kitchen in big open area. If you need a date not open, let me know :)
2nd floor loft with queen bed which is the main sleeping area. The far side of the loft is is open to the first floor. STAIRS TO GET TO LOFT ARE STEEP REQUIRING AGILITY AND MAX WEIGHT OF 200 pounds. The loft hosts both a queen and single bed in the same room.
Optional sleeping area is a very comphy futon on first floor near the fire. Also first floor has small 'bedroom' with curtain ONLY separating it from living area (the fridge is in that room...sorry :). The sleeping areas up and down are private for dressing and sleeping but THERE ARE NO WALLS TO STOP SOUND BETWEEN LOFT AND DOWNSTAIRS so plan to bunk with with close friends :). Filtered well water and electric heat in addition to woodstove. Private parking spot. Room to park hauled toys. Pets welcome for $35 per pet per week.
HOT TUB IS SHARED WITH SECOND CABIN IN OPEN SPACE BETWEEN THE TWO UNITS .
You will want to shop for food on your way. There is a very small store nearby in Mesa but your bulk of food should be brought in. Coming from the West, find a City market in Grand Junction or Clifton. Coming from the East, Rifle or Palisade. Coming from the South, Delta city market. WiFi is max 25MBPS upload and download which will support a conference call or Netflix.
Water up here is at a premium. The cabin has a 1000 gallon tank for your stay. If you conserve water, that will easily last 4-5 days. We would greatly appreciate if you can conserve water use so that lasts for the duration of your stay as it is awkward, expensive, and cumbersome to refill the tank in the middle of your stay, specifically in Winter :) Thank you.
Guest access
The entire cabin and cabin deck area are private. There is a shared hot tub and fire pit. Hot tub shared with other cabin on property in open space between the two units.
Other things to note
WE HAVE SNOWSHOES AND KAYAKS TO RENT. :) Just let us know your interest.
Oct - April, winter driving conditions may exist. All wheel or 4 wheel drive often required and high clearance recommended. We are on well water and septic system so you need to be okay with being conservative with water friendly. There is a 1000 gallon tank which will last 4 people about 5 days if they conserve. On and off showers and use tubs for dishwater rather than running the water to wash or rinse. We can refill during your stay but it is awkward and expensive and we want to avoid you running out of water.
Family dogs are welcome for $35 per dog, per week. We will collect it through AirBnB at the time of your stay. We need you to clean up poo and shedding please.
If you want 1-2 days on either side of your stay that appear blocked, let me know. We block off the middle of the week to get ready for the next guest but a day or two here or there we can accommodate, just let us know :)
