Located on the West Coast of Vancouver Island in Ucluelet, Reef Point Cottages offers a natural setting only 0.9 mi from the Wild Pacific Trail. Each cottage has free WiFi and Optik TV. The Haidaway cottage at Gold Coast Retreat has an ideal location, just across from the beach path to famous Chesterman Beach with two kilometers of open surf and sand and 6 km. from the village of Tofino. We offer total privacy in a tranquil setting on a warm south facing property, just one minute walk to the beach.

We accept only one friendly and small non-shedding dog, at a one time 50 dollars pet fee. We do not accept pets in July and August.

The Haidaway has two bedrooms, the downstairs has a queen size bed.

There is a double upstairs through a steep stairway which is not suitable for very young children or a person with mobility issues.

The Haidaway is suitable for a maximum of 3 guests, which is perfect for 2 adults and one child over 5 years old. The steep stairway makes it not suitable for very young children or seniors.

The cottage has a full kitchen with gas stove, full size fridge and dishwasher.

The Living room has a gas fireplace to warm up after a day at the beach.

Outdoors there is a bbq in the solarium to cook your fresh caught salmon or your special Tofino vacation meal.

Bathe in the pristine waters of Clayoquot Sounds in our original 1908 claw foot tub, comfortable for two, in a vine covered solarium . Guests have told us it is the tub of youth and feel rejuvenated.

The Haidaway features both an indoor and outdoor hot showers, perfect for surfers.

There is free wireless and high speed internet for those who need to stay connected. Telus optik TV/Stereo, a washer/dryer and dishwasher.

We were greeted with a sample of local chocolates and found a little vase of flowers from the garden in the kitchen and bathroom. I was surprised and thrilled to find tea, coffee beans, and even detergent as I'm used to bringing my own. These little touches are greatly appreciated and the other Vrbo's I've stayed at could really learn from this one! Finally, the location was perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the hummingbirds and it was just steps to the beach. We fell in love with Chesterman Beach and walked it several times a day. Our original plan to visit Tofino in 2020 to celebrate a milestone anniversary and birthday was derailed by Covid but it was worth the three year wait. We had a wonderful time and hope to return and stay here again!"

The space
Cottage consists of 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a 1/2 bathroom and a Jacuzzi tub. There is a sitting chair and TV and DVD player. The 2nd bedroom includes a double bed and single bed with a sitting chair, TV, and fire place. The kitchen is fully stocked with small, large appliances and tables and chairs. There is a selection of coffee, tea, sugar and spices. There is a full bathroom off the kitchen. Living room has full size couch, sitting chairs, propane fireplace, TV and DVD player, large selection of DVD's , as well as board games and books on the area and BC. The rustic wood interior is the stuff of childhood memories. There is ample outside space. Enjoy the rustic front porch furniture, decks on multiple levels, and a good soak in the 4 person hot tub. You will love taking a hot cup of tea or coffee down to the deck with a water view.

Hearth & Cove is an easy walk to access the Wild Pacific Trail and Little Beach. Ucluelet is a 15 min walk away or a short drive. Tofino is about 30 min away by car.

Cottage is open concept. The bedrooms are separate by lay out and the living room floor but do not have doors.

The hot tub is not covered so we can enjoy the rainy and starry nights.

Check in is 4pm at the earliest unless prior approval has been given. This gives our cleaner enough time between bookings to ensure our cottage is clean and ready for you!

Any late check out without prior approval will incur a $50 an hour fee. Strictly enforced. Our bookings and ability to clean effectively between them count on prompt check outs.

The entire area has wild animals. Please do not feed any animals other than the birds. (We provide bird seed for that. Please put some out on the upper deck and enjoy the Steller Jays!).

It can be quite rainy on the West Coast! It lends to the stunning beauty here. But be prepared for it. No refunds based on disappointing weather.

Privacy outdoors is limited due to close neighboring houses. Our interaction with the owners was minimal but slightly disappointing. When our flights were impacted by a global IT issue, we requested flexibility on dates or a partial refund, but they were unwilling to accommodate. While I understand their policy, previous experiences have shown more flexibility in such extraordinary circumstances. Fortunately, our airline managed to rebook our flights, allowing us to still enjoy our planned visit to Ucluelet, which was a pleasant surprise. Despite this, the owners' inflexibility was a downside for us." Although their check in process appears to be seamless, the one slight struggle was their lock. Outside Inn Cabins & Lofts are lovely one bedroom cottages accommodating groups of up to 4 guests max per cottage (includes infants and children). Nestled on 5 acres of private rain forest, The Outside Inn is located just minutes from The Pacific Rim National Park in nature's paradise of Ucluelet, BC, Canada. Endlessride Surf School offers daily lessons.

We welcome your Dog to join you. We charge a $30 fee and kindly ask you to keep on leash and dont leave alone in your cabin. Please request.

The space
The Outside Inn is on 5 acres of beauty! Located right across the street from Willowbrae Trail. You have 1.5km trail that leads to South Flo Bay. The bike path is paved and leads into town and (soon) will connect with tofino via the pacific rim park. There is also a communal fire pit and outside games for guest use.
We kindly ask that no tenting or RV’ing in outside spaces. Just stick with your cabin.

The COASTAL COTTAGE 1 at the Outside Inn is a self contained, one level private cottage. Full kitchen and bath. Raised comfy queen size bed. Double pull out couch. Propane BBQ on a covered deck. Nestled in the rain forest. This is the ultimate quiet and relaxing cottage.

The space
The Bracken is designed to deliver the conforts and amenities desired on your trip to the Pacific Rim.  The private hot tub is just the icing on the cake.

Featuring hardwood floors throughout the living space with tile in the kitchen and bathroom. The luxurious bathroom features heated floors and a deep soaker tub for those that like to indulge in a bath. A full second set of towels, along with beach/ hot tub towels are provided.

The kitchen is outfitted to make cooking for a night in easy. All our cookware and supplies are well kept and ready for your creations. We offer local coffee and a tea to get you off on the right foot. Naturally, wine glasses are always on hand.

The cabin is tech friendly. We are within cell service and the cabin has telus wifi so you can stay connected.... but we won't tell anyone if you claim to be out of range;) There is a smartTV mounted above the fireplace offering direct access to netflix and various apps.

The cabin can be setup to accommodate families of four. We have done away with the futon, added a nice couch, and a double self inflating mattress that is easy to stow during the day. We provide the extra linen, and the fir dinner table seats four.

Post and beam timbers shelter the cabin's exterior living space from the elements for year round enjoyment. The private and carefully maintained hot tub welcomes an evening soak. A couple chairs and propane barbeque round out the deck.

Guest access
The bracken cabin is at the end of the trail at the back corner of our property. The two adjacent properties are undeveloped so the only neighbourly noise will likely be the wind through the trees. You have exclusive guest access to your cabin and the area surrounding.

Other things to note
The hot tub is operational year round and continues to receive proper attention after each departure. We follow provincial guidelines for sanitation and operation of the hot tub. Bromine is used in our hot tubs.

We do still welcome 1 well mannered pup who's owners can keep their four legged friends hair and fur off the linen and out of the hot tub. ** Please message us with breed and number of dogs prior to booking if you'd like to bring more than one pup** Guests are responsible for any damage to the cabins, furnishings (including linens), and  property caused by their pets. Please include in your booking note: your pups name, and breed. We do not welcome any other type of pets.

The space
Our cottage is thoughtfully appointed and you should only need to bring your food and clothing. We have a Pacific Energy wood burning stove in the main room of the house which creates cozy warmth throughout the entire cottage, as well as heat pumps throughout the home. There is also a 50" Smart TV in the living room and a 32" TV in one of the bedrooms, along which a wide selection of books and games for those stormy days when you get back from playing on the beach. We have a large deck and grassy yard to play on. The property also has a large fire pit area with seating at the side of the house, which is surrounded by a beautiful forest backdrop. One of our favorite features is the enclosed outdoor shower to really get in touch with your natural surroundings.

We are a dog friendly vacation Rental, (Maximum 2) There is an additional charge of $50 per dog, per stay. This will be charged after your reservation is confirmed. Please see house rules. Pets must never be left alone at the property, inside the cottage or out.
We are family friendly, and children of all ages are welcome.

The space
Cottage consists of 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, 1/2 bathroom and a Jacuzzi tub. There is a sitting chair and TV and DVD player. The 2nd bedroom includes a double size bed and full size bed bunkbed, and a double bed with a sitting chair, TV, and fire place. The kitchen is fully stocked with small, large appliances and tables and chairs. There is a selection of coffee, tea, sugar and spices. There is a full bathroom off the kitchen. Living room has full size couch, sitting chairs, propane fireplace, TV and DVD player, large selection of DVD's , as well as board games and books on the area and BC. The rustic wood interior is the stuff of childhood memories. There is ample outside space. Enjoy the rustic front porch furniture, decks on multiple levels, and a good soak in the 4 person hot tub. You will love taking a hot cup of tea or coffee down to the deck with a water view.

Hearth & Cove is an easy walk to access the Wild Pacific Trail and Little Beach. Ucluelet is a 15 min walk away or a short drive. Tofino is about 30 min away by car.

Cottage is open concept. The bedrooms are separate by lay out and the living room floor but do not have doors.

The hot tub is not covered so we can enjoy the rainy and starry nights.

The entire area has wild animals. Please do not feed any animals.

It can be quite rainy on the West Coast! It lends to the stunning beauty here. But be prepared for it. No refunds based on disappointing weather.

Our home is a five minute drive to the town of Ucluelet and 30 mins to Tofino. We are also a short drive to the best beaches in Canada.

You, as the guests, have private access to the laundry room / wetsuit drying room, hot tub, outdoor fire pit and sitting area, free parking, and the porch.

We provide all guests with 10% off surf and paddle board rentals and lessons at Swell Paddle and Surf located at Mackenzie Beach Resort (Spring-fall) and Hotel Zed (year - round).

There is a residence on the property, as it is a Tofino requirement to have one on all vacation rental sites, and we ask that everyone remain respectful of each other.
