The contact phone number on the reservation was not accurate, it was some guy's personal number in Los Angeles. For Hotels/Expedia Help, had to first go through AI Chat, then some unhelpful chat with a guy named "Christian" who disconnected me without my problem being resolved but did give me a "1-800" number to call. The call was awful, had to go through many unrelated menus before finally being asked to start inputing my data which I didn't readily have available and I gave up. Finally, through a stroke of luck, was able to discover our reservation was instead at a timeshare management company at a different location that was incorrectly using the name of a building they didn't own in the Hotels.com listing, and after we drove up there, they tried to charge us again though we had already paid weeks in advance."

If you are looking for the 'cabin experience', this quintessential cabin in the pines won't disappoint. The property was originally purchased and built by my grandparents in 1958 and has been in our family ever since; it was completely renovated by my wife and I in 2011. It has one bedroom on the main level (king), and a semi-private loft with two queen size beds. There is one 3/4 bath, and a great outdoor shower with views of the lake for those true Minnesotan's. The inside space flows seamlessly to a large lakeside patio with grill, outdoor dining area, fire pit and coffee sitting area. The rental comes complete with a pontoon boat (2023 Bennington), a 4-person paddleboat, a canoe, and of course a hammock in the yard. For those that can't disconnect, the cabin also includes two high-definition TVs with Cable (DVD/Blu-Ray on main TV) and free Wi-Fi! And don't worry, you won't be roughing it, the 2011 renovation also brought all new mechanical systems including air conditioning, new appliances, and a new Kinetico softened water system!!

Situated 5 miles east of the town of Crosslake, crystal clear Lake O'Brien is spring fed with a water clarity of 24', the cleanest lake in the entire watershed district. The lake itself is surrounded by mature pines. There is approximately 5 miles of shoreline, of which about a quarter of the lake is undeveloped state-owned property. During the summer, this recreational lake is perfect for fishing, skiing, wake boarding, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding and any other water-based activities, including floating on an air mattress!! There is a sandbar where you can walk across the lake which is a favorite gathering spot for 'kids of all ages'!! It's location on a quiet tar township road make it perfect for a morning walk or bike ride. During the winter months the lake is perfect for ice fishing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and is a perfect base camp to access the endless miles of groomed snowmobile trails.

Our property is perfect for a family of up to 6 or a few couples. We have a strict limit of 6 due to the size of the cabin and the single bathroom. We do keep our calendar updated and so if you are seeing availability then it's likely available. Upon reservation confirmation you'll receive a complete 'what to bring' list so you are prepared for your time up north. Feel free to inquire with any questions you may have and we’ll be prompt to reply! Important Information to Read Prior to Booking:
- There is no running water or bathroom INSIDE of the cabin. **There is an outhouse on site. We also have a high powered well located outside of the cabin to pump clean water for dishes, cooking, showering, etc.**
- The well water is clean but it does contain lots of iron. **We recommend bringing drinking water.**
- It has been an extremely wet season. We have fumigated for bugs multiple times, but the bugs can still get pretty bad at night. **We recommend bringing layers, some bug spray or nets for your comfort.**
- Wood for outside fires and the sauna is provided.
- There is no shower at this time. We do have a camp shower that can be hung up outside the sauna. We also like to rinse off/shower with cold water after a nice sauna session as a way to clean off as well. Get creative!

This 1940’s cabin was fully renovated in the winter of 2018 and is essentially brand new inside and out, but the charm of the original cabin has been maintained and is evident throughout. You get the true cabin feel as you enter the main level which combines the family room and dining area for an open, yet cozy feel. The wood-burning fireplace on the main level will warm you up quickly on those cooler nights (firewood included). Enjoy meals at the dining room table or grab a book and snuggle up in front of the wood-burning fireplace or on the built-in bench; all while overlooking Brown's Bay. This level also includes a custom-made Murphy bed that converts to a game table for chess and checkers matches. The quaint kitchen packs all of the amenities you could need, including stainless steel appliances along with a double-drawer beverage fridge. The excitement builds as you head up the spiral stairs to the master bedroom, your expectations will most definitely be met as you feel on top of the world all while overlooking Sibley Lake from every angle. You can head out onto the balcony to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine and take in amazing sunset views. The master bathroom has been fully remodeled to include a farmhouse sink, walk-in tiled shower with glass doors and jetted sprays. You will not want to get out of bed in the morning as you will wake up and want to take in all of the beauty that surrounds this room.
As you head back down the spiral staircase, you will then head outside down the exterior staircase into the lower level of the house where you will find Bob’s bar, a perfect spot to hang out with your friends and family or sit and relax and enjoy a movie or game on the flat screen TV. This room also has a leather couch that pulls out into a queen-size bed to allow for additional sleeping space.
As you head out of the lower level you will walk across the patio to the upper boat house. This will likely be the kids or maybe the parents favorite place to hang out as it will feel like their little getaway space. The boathouse has built-in bunk beds, along with a day bed for comfortable sleeping. You will feel like you are sleeping on the water as the boathouse is situated just steps away from the lakeshore.
As you head out of the cabin, you are just steps away from the dock that is perfect for fishing, swimming, and relaxing. Head out for a cruise around the lake or to the sand bar on the 2019 Sylvan fish and cruise pontoon (rental of cabin includes the pontoon boat). Everyone loves a good campfire and s'mores, so the shoreline also boasts a fire pit and Adirondack chairs to enjoy the fire and the lake views on those beautiful Minnesota summer evenings. Finally, the cedar sauna house and patio are a perfect place to begin or end your day. With beautiful views of Sibley Lake, relax and enjoy some quiet time away from all the hustle and bustle.

A new hill tram was installed in 2024 and is conveniently located to help bring people, supplies and luggage up and down from street level to the cabin and is available for use year-round.
NOTE: The pontoon is in the water, and use is included in the stated rental rates, from approximately mid-May to mid-October (weather dependent).
NOTE: The main cabin includes a central air heating and cooling system. The bunkhouse includes a ductless split that provides both heat and cooling.

Most guests come to a retreat like setting to relax, and I have available many recreational amenities free to use and explore ( and they do!). 26 acres of private acres, boathouse is directly on the lake, which is one of the cleanest in Crow Wing County. Plus we’re near the Cuyuna bike trails Deerwood access. My boathouse is from 1946, and grandfathered in, so some changes are not allowed, such as a bathtub or change in dimensions. There is a shower, standard sized toilet, sink vanity that was part of the boathouse before building restrictions changed a number of years ago. A mini-fridge does not have a freezer, but I have many smaller appliances such as burner/oven/microwave/fry pan/ and other amenities. I have a freezer in the garage guests can use if requested ahead of time. You may use my little gas grill or a charcoal grill. I live on a peninsula, and one side is sugar sand swim area. Wild meadow flowers and an undeveloped shoreline. The peninsula has wildflowers and is completely undeveloped, and a narrow path on the narrow peninsula. My house is on the property, but you will have peace and privacy because I’m seldom home or if I am, I’m usually inside reading a book. Come enjoy quiet lake living! Coming in 2024 WIFI.

This guest house will provide you with a quiet, serene get-away on Nokay Lake. Located on the south side of the lake, you will have full access to the newly built guest house (built in 2009) next to our home, lake, dock, and swimming area. This is a perfect family vacation spot.

This two-story guesthouse includes a master bedroom, and a second bedroom with two sets of bunk beds (three twin beds and one full). There is a full bath and fully loaded kitchen.

You will have access to the lake, dock, boat lift, paddle boat, and fire pit. Washer and Dryer are attached to the guesthouse and available for use.

Relax and enjoy the outdoors with a panoramic lake view from the spacious deck that overlooks a large level yard for hours of family fun and games. A picnic table, deck chairs and a charcoal grill are provided. The yard is sprayed for mosquitos and ticks to help make enjoyable evenings on the deck or for smores around the lakeside fire pit. A private dock is provided to tie off your boat. The paved driveway has space for your boat/boat trailer parking. NO TENTS OR RVs.

Our cabin is all one level (1564 Sq Ft) with an open floor plan that has all the comforts of home. Sleeps a maximum of six guests (includes children) in two private bedrooms. A full bathroom with walk-in shower as well as a 1/2 bath. Couches are NOT pull-out sleepers. Amenities include bedding and bath towels, washer & dryer, dishwasher and a large eat in kitchen fully stocked with everything you need to enjoy family dinners; Spacious living room and sun-room porch. The garage has been converted into an All Purpose room that has a ping pong table to enjoy on rainy days. Space can also be used to store your fishing and/or boating accessories. Also, off of the all-purpose room is access to a crawl space in case of severe weather. This cabin is not air conditioned but has ceiling fans in most rooms and three portable fans are available. 50" Smart TV provides streaming only - No local channels. Sorry – No Pets or smoking allowed (inside or outside on property)!

Bay Lake is in the heart of the Brainerd lakes area and is a 2,435-acre lake filled with several bays, points and islands and is one of the top bass fishing lakes in Minnesota. Don't forget to pack your favorite lures and poles. Enjoy the public beach/sandbar area on the north side of Church Island. Take your rafts for floating and anchor your boat for the day or afternoon. A public volleyball net is also provided.

- "The cabin was exactly as stated. Clean, spacious, great view to the lake. Nice front yard and a large deck facing the lake. The fishing was also great." - "Sun room was great. Nice lawn. Easy access for turning boat trailers around." - "The house is extremely well-appointed and the host has everything very well organized. There are notes in smart places and a binder with all the details about the home, lake, and surrounding areas. The host was very easy to reach for questions before and during our trip. All appliances worked great, the water pressure was good, and we had plenty of space in the cupboards and refrigerator/ freezer to store supplies for the week. We loved the large 4-season porch and the deck is spacious with shady areas throughout the day. The boat dock is in great shape and easily accommodated our large pontoon. There is an outlet on the yardlight that is close to the dock. The driveway was large enough for us to easily maneuver and store our boat trailer. There is a convenient table and water source for cleaning fish near the shed. Bay Lake is very clean with water clarity at least 14 feet. We enjoyed boating, swimming, tubing, and kayaking on the lake. We caught a variety of sunfish and bass of all sizes, some smaller northern pike and crappie. The lake offers many good fishing locations, even in winds with 30mph gusts. The boat traffic is higher on the weekends than during the week. The neighbors were kind and friendly. It is very convenient to boat up to Hansen's for gas and ice; the store is also walking distance and has many basic convenience items; the staff was very helpful. Garrison and Deerwood are both close and had grocery and hardware stores for the things we needed. Thank you for all of the efforts to provide a wonderful vacation location!!"

- "We absolutely loved our stay at this adorable cabin. The owners have done an amazing job modernizing this property and it is totally adorable inside and out. The location is perfect - right on the water with the 'up north' feel but still super close to all the activities our kids love in the area (go karts, mini golf), restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Our 10 year olds had a blast jumping off the end of the dock and we were pleasantly surprised to find it relatively weed-free and a great depth for swimming. We brought our own kayaks and had a great time paddling around the calm lake too. Loved checking out MN Traders Co. for coffee and breakfast sandwiches - so good we went twice! If you're looking for a fantastic family or couples getaway, you can stop scrolling, this is it!"

Each room has baseboard heat which you control in addition to our regular heat source. We are in the country, so it's a great way to really experience our area. You can sit on the couch and enjoy the view of the great outdoors, or you can go outside and experience it firsthand.

The studio has its own outside entrance in the front of the house which leads right into the space you will be staying. There are 2 long term renters, and another 2-bedroom Airbnb upstairs (Two Bedroom on Sixth).

The backyard has one available space for guests to park.

Studio on Sixth is a cozy studio with lots of amenities. A full kitchen with refrigerator, full size electric oven, sink, microwave, & coffee maker. A cute kitchen island with seating for two serves as the dining space. The kitchen has all the pots and pans needed to cook in the studio.

In the living room you have a 2.5 seater couch opposite a 43" Roku TV. Next to the living space you have a Queen size bed, a closet, and a changing area with full size mirror.

In the bathroom, there is a newly updated shower.
