The Top House sits on the highest point of our property, nestled amongst beautiful mature Pohutukawa's and tropical gardens. At this point I would like to make you aware that there are about 40 steps up to The Top House. My mum likes to call them the stairway to heaven but if you don't like stairs it may be the stairway to hell!

It boasts all day sun. The front deck looks towards the gorgeous island views of Hahei and provides guests with the first sun of the day, perfect for having your breakfast or morning coffee. The back deck looks over bush and rural views and enjoys the afternoon sun - perfect for late afternoon drinks.

The Top House is an easy downhill 5-10 minute walk to the beach. Hahei Beach is so beautiful - it is often called the Pink Beach because of the number of ground shells that gives it that beautiful pink tinge - it has the nicest sand of all the Coromandel beaches! There are many sprawling Pohutukawa that line the beach front that provide shelter from the sun.

Cathedral Cove walking track is a 15 minute walk from the Top House. We do have other walks in the area that are fantastic and go to beautiful beaches such as Lonely Bay. You can also go to Cathedral Cove with Cathedral Cove Kayaks or the Cathedral Cove Water Taxi and our local boat operator Hahei Explorer will visit the Cove during its tour of the coastline.

Hahei has a small village shopping area which caters to most of holiday makers needs. A well stocked general store, two restaurants, take aways, an ice cream parlour, cafe, gift shop and delicatessen. We also have an amazing dive school, kayak tours and boat rides all available in our village.

Hot Water Beach is a 10 minute drive away, and is a stunning beach as well. Of course you can dig your hot pool here at low tide, but it is the most beautiful beach for walking along - much more open and rugged than Hahei. This is the beach to go to if you enjoy surfing. It also has two options for eating - Hot Waves is open during the day and Hotties provides evening dining right on the beach.

The beaches don't just stop here - they keep going all the way to the ferry - a beach suitable for any age or activity - all within 15 minutes drive. There are a variety of different eating establishments within this drive such as the beautiful Mercury Estate Vineyard open for lunch, The Hive nestled in amongst kiwi fruit vines provides relaxed dining during the day and evening.

Come and enjoy the peace and tranquility of our small village which also provides enough action and activities for any age group.

- "Top House was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Jane was always helpful and friendly. Just be aware that you have to carry your luggage up steep gravel stairs through the garden. This well furnished holiday home is located on Michelle Lane just an easy, flat stroll to Hahei beach. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen-size beds, 1 with twin bunks.
The house has a large, well equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave and a Breville Barista Espresso Machine for our coffee lovers so make sure to bring your favorite coffee beans.
One bathroom with a toilet and shower and another separate toilet makes life easier for all. The garage has a range of bikes from beginner to adult road bikes and a well used beach cart for taking children and all their gear to the beach. The double kayak has lifejackets, paddles and a beach trolley.
There is a tub at the house which can be used as a baby bath and a high chair for no extra cost. A portacot can be set up with all linen and baby towel for a small fee of $45.00 for your stay.
The living and dining area are spacious with a stereo, large TV for the sports fans and DVD player for the children. The lounge opens onto a side and front deck, and a big grass yard. This house comes with deck chairs and loungers and a Webber BBQ.

The track to Cathedral Cove, one of the most beautiful beaches in New Zealand, reopened in December 2024. An absolute MUST DO!

Hahei Beach Road Bach is just a short drive from Hotwater Beach and Cooks Beach. This bach is centrally located to many of the tourist destinations of the Coromandel Peninsula. Hahei Beach Road Bach is an airy and sun-filled 3 bedroom house with open-plan living. Both the master bedroom and double bedroom have the benefit of an ensuite each. The double bedroom also has a separate nursery attached which has a portacot, highchair(attaches to a bench) and foam mattress suitable for children supplied. The bunk room has 2 bunk beds and a pull out rollaway bed. There is a separate toilet in the laundry right next door to the bunk room for these guests to use. Hahei Beach Road Bach wraps around a central shaded deck which ensures great indoor outdoor flow. There is plenty of space for vehicles as a lockable garage and open carport is attached to the house and room in the driveway for more vehicles. The key feature of Hahei Beach Road Bach is its location with Hahei shops, restaurants and playground directly across the road makes this an awesome spot for families to walk everywhere. The beach is a flat 4 minute walk away and there is an extra outside shower to use on your return. The garden and deck offer privacy for a peaceful breakaway, or head out to the beach for sun and surf.

There was also a little avacado trailer next door that had the most fresh and delicious avacados! We had so much fun at this house and there was plenty of room for pur family. The Chalet at Hahei is a 3 bedroom Hahei holiday home with unique features. As well as great views, it is also only 200 metres away from Hahei beach and a stone's throw from the cafe, shops and the acclaimed boutique brew bar and restaurant..

From the warm decks of this Hahei holiday home, you step into the well appointed cool of a home completed to high specifications. The kitchen has a large gas range, modern appliances and a great outlook beyond the wide opening windows. The lounge is open plan and versatile, complete with modern leather couches, while the dining area flows out onto expanded decks through large bi-folds. The rear decks catch the afternoon sun and there is plenty of space to BBQ.

On the top floor the master bedroom is fitted with a queen bed and has magnificent sea views over Hahei. It opens out to its own deck where you can take in the 300 degree outlook or check out the impressive night skies. The second bedroom, with a double bed and a single sofa bed, offers entirely different outlook across the valley.

Back on the second floor main living area, there is a quiet bunk-room, with double and single bunkbed, and french doors out to the sunny rear, with bathroom adjacent. The bottom floor has a stylish bathroom, separate toilet and shower area and a fully equipped laundry. The generous sized bathroom features a corner swizzle bath with views across the gardens, ideal to soak those stresses away.

The widened drive takes 4 cars, including a small boat and trailer. Situated on Tutaritari, this quiet road is often referred to the Dress Circle of Hahei. The Chalet has been lovingly maintained and prized by the same family for over twenty years - the Chalet at Hahei is a dynamic and stress free haven well situated in the heart of a world-class coastal town.

House sleeps 8 people, as in couples and kids, but not 8 single adults so easily so such larger groups of adult are booked at owner's discretion and approval.

The other 2 queen bedrooms and bunk room are situated on western end of the house with a shared bathroom including bath, shower, vanity and seperate toilet. The laundry is also situated at this end of the house. Hahei Beach Village Bach provides a sunny deck with plenty of seating which ensures great indoor outdoor flow. There is space for vehicles to park as well as a lockable garage for guests to use. This gagrge also includes a 3rd toilet and shower for the bach guests to use. Also, Hahei Beach Village Bach has WIFI for guests to use.

The most peculiar thing is there was about 40+ coffee mugs but no coffee maker or plunger. There was a machine that used pods but no pods or place to buy any (or any warning). We ended up having to go buy a $40 plunger in order to have coffee! I think that a “fully stocked kitchen” should include that. There were 3 electric kettles but no way to make coffee. There was also only a few rolls of TP so we had to buy that too."

Conveniently located between Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach, this recently renovated apartment is an ideal location with amazing views of Hahei Beach and the Mercury Islands. We are minutes away from the beach and downtown Hahei and is ideal as a base to explore the surrounding areas in the Coromandel. The apartment is clean, comfortable and relaxing, and is perfect to just soak up the beautiful views from the balcony after a day's excursions.

The space
This apartment is fully dedicated for guest use. There is a washing machine in the downstairs laundry that is accessible between the two bottom units. Outdoor lawn area can also be used for guest enjoyment.
We are environmentally conscious and use bio-degradable products for cleaning, as we are able. We also have a recycling of all rubbish to ensure waste is accurately categorised for processing.
We manage our own bore water and waste water systems as Hahei is not connected to a town supply so we are heavily dependent on rain water and regard this as a precious commodity.

Guest access
This apartment is totally dedicated for private guest use and is equipped with a washing line that is on the balcony. There is also a sand spade for guest use when trekking to Hot Water Beach, to dig a hole in the sand for a quick thermal spa in the warm waters.
The kitchen is well equipped with cutlery, crockery, utensils and pots and pan. There is a ceramic hob as well as a toaster and kettle with basic condiments for guest use.

Please note there is only 1 carspace provided and it is marked ‘5’.
This is a non smoking unit.
Access to the unit is by way of a steep, winding driveway that is better to drive up during the day when checking in.
This is a quiet complex so parties and excess noise after 10pm are not allowed.

Take a break and unwind at our peaceful unit. We offered a separate entrance room with ensuite, attached to main house but with it's own deck, entrance and parking spot. We offer a light muffin and cereal selection for breakfast, tea, coffee, and fridge in the room. Our property is at the end of Lees Rd, very quiet, with lovely rural views and a tiny peak of the sea. We are 300 metres from the coastal walkway that takes you straight to Cathedral Cove, approx a 55 minute walk from our door.

We have a 7 acre lifestyle property on a very quiet "sealed" road.

Guest access
Your unit is ensuited . There is not a kitchen, but there is a refrigerator, kettle, and toaster and microwave. You can wander around the paddocks, check out the chooks, use the steep shared water access, but be careful, it is a climb and rough track! And of course enjoy the handy access to Stella Evered reserve park. Secret Local knowledge alert!!...on low tide you can wade over to Cooks Beach from the reserve!..thigh deep water!

The space
THE BEACH LOFT is a studio apartment at one end of a house. It is self-contained with its own entrance and has a tea and coffee station with a fridge, microwave, kettle, induction hotplate, saucepan, crockery, cups, wine glasses, plates, a salad bowl, knife, chopping boards etc for 3 people. There is NO KITCHEN. We recommend booking in advance for local eateries especially in winter as things close early.

This Hahei holiday studio also has free Wi-Fi.

The TV is connected to an Apple TV box and a Google Chromecast. Bring your own log-ins.

The LOFT includes an evaporative cooler and fan for those hot summer nights.

Cars can park in front of the garage door (in the space marked number 2), with care to leave room for guests staying in unit 1 (at the back of the house) to park next to them.

Other things to note
There is a garage under The Beach Loft, guests do not have access to it. Occasionally the owner or property cleaner may be in the garage when guests are staying. They enter from a separate entrance and guests stays will not be affected.

Water is supplied to the property from a local water bore, and while we have personally never had any issue with it, we cannot 100% guarantee its quality and suggest you boil any drinking water.

Nestled between Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach is this great little apartment (1 of 5), furnished with an eye for design, with exceptional panoramic views of beautiful Hahei Beach and its island outcrops.

The space
This is a great spot for a romantic beach getaway and has its own private sunny balcony and unlimited free Wi-Fi (your own private connection). Bring your login details for your favourite TV subscription. If you are walking to the beach turn right at the bottom of Christine Terrace and you will see the stream that leads you down to the sand.

Extras include a spade for digging your private hot pool at Hot Water Beach, two beach towels, and a beach umbrella.

There are Ecostore (Safer for you and the world) plant-based products throughout, including Body Wash, Hand Wash, Shampoo and Conditioner. The house is cleaned with natural products too!

The kitchen has two hobs, a fridge and microwave but no oven. A brand new automatic coffee machine (so bring your fresh coffee) and a second small fridge now for those longer summer stays (its not in the photos but is a bar fridge). There is a good selection of cutlery, utensils, a coffee plunger, serving bowls and nice pots and pans.

The apartment is the size of a generous one bedroom hotel room plus balcony and was built in the 1980's so has retro touches.

Despite being between two world-famous beaches Hahei is basically still a small rural village. The convenience store closes at 5pm. In winter, the local bar/restaurant may shut their kitchen as early as 8.15pm. If you're arriving late please plan for this. We are up a long driveway, nestled in the hill giving us our spectacular views. We provide guests with clear easy to follow instructions, including photographs, to assist with navigation.

Two of the Studios have wheelchair ramp access and accessible bathrooms (please request upon inquiry). There is also complimentary Tea and Coffee on arrival.

The Cabin is a stunning nautically themed stand alone cottage set in beautiful quiet surroundings, large swimming pool and subtropical gardens, only an 8 minute walk to beach.

The space
Phil & Sue will welcome you to the Cabin and give advice on the cottage amenities and also inform you of activities available in beautiful Hahei and the Coromandel in general. The swimming pool is available for guests and the cabin is set in beautiful grounds.

Other things to note
The cabin is only suitable for a couple sharing the Queen bed, there is limited space for additional bedding. We would consider allowing 1 infant in a cot or small fold away bed on application.

Please note the tiny home is accessed via a private path, it has steps onto the deck, and access up to the loft bed is via stairs, staying in the tiny home requires basic mobility

Other things to note
The tiny home shares a large rural section with another cabin for guests. The cabins share a driveway and parking area. A combination of screening and native bush offer great privacy.
