- "The owners went above and beyond to make sure the home was stocked and clean. There was ample room for my family. We have family in the area and will try to stay at this home whenever we are in town. The description regarding the driveway and parking was incorrect which was slightly inconvenient but I blame that on the management company not the homeowner. I did let the management know but never heard anything. This will not stop me from staying here in the future, but I would encourage them to update the details of the home. "

Please note: The property is on US-422 you will hear the road. It's busy during the day, less so in the evening. Weekends can vary with Holidays. This is a fairly busy tourist area.

The house and grounds were beautifully and thoughtfully cared for, all rooms and spaces were clean and well-provisioned, and the property owner very responsive and considerate. We were attending an event, and didn't get to make use of the outdoor amenities, such as the well-stocked fire pit, but hope to do so the next time we stay. We are *definitely* planning to cone back and stay again! Additional notes: There is easy parking available for 4 cars, more if you don't mind parking each other in. The stairs down to the river may be difficult for folks with mobility issues, but for those able to safely make the trek, the outdoor spaces and views are worth the effort. I can't say enough good about our experience with staying here. If you're considering staying at this property, do it! :)"

Plus, it’s just a short stroll to Butler’s historic Main Street district.

We are located 25 miles NW of Pittsburgh with easy access to the PA Turnpike and I-376. We're across the Beaver River from PA Rts. 18/65, and directly off PA Rt. 51, and about a dozen miles fron the PA/OH State Line, where PA 51 becomes OH Rt. 14 to Cleveland. Thus access to Pittsburgh's countless attractions is relatively close with only minimal hassle from Pittsburgh traffic. Greater Pittsburgh International Airport is an easy 25-minute drive on nearby I-376. Pittsburgh Amtrak is right downtown.

Located only 35 miles from downtown Pittsburgh. For cyclists and hikers, near the the Armstrong Trail (38 mile biking/ hiking trail), only 5 minute drive to the popular hiking destination of Buttermilk Falls. There is a boat ramp a mile down the road. Community Park, shopping and restaurants within walking distance of home.

The space
This home has lots of character with the beautiful wood work in the living room and dining room. The large front porch is a nice place to sit and relax. Hammock located in back with a view of the Allegheny River, dam and lock #7. In the spring we will have a patio set overlooking the river with a propane fire pit. We have a smart tv in the living room which you can use any of your logins for streaming apps, it is not connected to cable. DVD player is available for living room. Game room located in the unfinished lower level including ping pong, arcade style basketball and foosball. Laundry is also in unfinished basement if needed. Steps are steep leading to the basement. The garage is not set up for parking. 4 adult bikes and 2 kids bikes available for use. This is an older Pittsburgh home so there are some sloped/creaking floors and creaking doors.The living room couch should not be pulled out into a bed. It is just a couch now.

You have the city of New Castle to explore, as well as the small quaint town of Volant, where you will find unique shops, coffee houses, and a local winery. There are also Westminster & Theil Colleges nearby. Go exploring and see the beautiful, breathtaking local nature sites to see as well.

Route 79 isn't far away. It can take you North to Erie, the Grove City Outlets, Keystone Safari, or Slippery Rock University. You can also go South to Cranberry Township, Wexford, and Pittsburgh.

Take 422 East and visit McConnell Mill, Living Treasure, Moraine State Park, and Butler, or 422 West, and head towards Hermitage & Rt 80 as well as Boardman Ohio.

Also, head north to Mercer County and check out some amazing restaurants and activities as well.

Enjoy this newly renovated cozy retreat in the borough of Kittanning! This 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom apartment loft is located 41 miles from Pittsburgh. The loft is above a dental office and across from the Armstrong Trail hence the name “Tooth and Trail.” It’s within walking distance to downtown Kittanning to restaurants, bars, shops and the Allegheny River. The loft is a non-smoking and pet-free environment.

Located adjacent to ( and connected to if so desired for larger groups) our original “Tooth and Trail Loft,” (Unit B) it is a brand new renovation. This luxury loft has modern amenities you’ll surely enjoy including the waterfall feature kitchen sink, light-up faucet bathroom sink, shower night light, rain fall shower head, plant based shampoo, conditioner and body wash products and a liquid bar with selected coffees and teas. Washer and dryer are onsite. There are also two televisions and fireplaces ( one in the living room and one in the bedroom) with a kind size bed, for a cozy evening experience. The sectional sofa turns into an extra guest bed. WiFi and Ethernet connections are included.
