This home was newly renovated in 2024. It is very warm, inviting and makes you feel at home. You walk into a large spacious living room with a 52 inch tv. Roku is supplied for all your streaming shows. A independent work space/desk area located of the living room is available. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking essentials needed to cook and enjoy a home cooked meal. The bedroom has a Queen bed and two dressers for your things. There is a large walk-in closet 15' long to store clothes as well (clothes hangers are supplied). This is a pet friendly home with a fenced back yard but we do ask our tenants to purchase a $59 insurance policy (instead of a pet fee) for any damages that may happen. We ask our guests to please be honest and let us know what type of animal you are bringing with you, so we are aware and prepared for your arrival. Charleston the Capitol of WV and Yeager Airport is only 15-20 minutes away. All three CAMC hospitals as well Thomas Hospital and St. Francis Hospital can be reached within 15-20 minutes. John Amos Power Plant, Mardi Gras Casino and Resort Shawnee Sport Complex and is 15 minutes. Free off street parking is available in front of the home. - "Our hostes greeted us shortly after our arrival. We had no problem finding the key. The neighborhood was very quiet, the walk a block over to the river to see the capital building was enjoyable...not too far. The beds were delightfully comfortable. And we enjoyed sitting out on the little deck out back. We do have a few issues. First: the VRBO listing has "hot tub" as an amenity...there is NO hot tub. I'd suggest changing that because that is the main reason I booked here. Not exactly honest advertising if you ask me. The lack of decorations on walls or window treatments (even just a simple valance) or insufficient pots and pans and a few more varied dishes and glasses (juice size), a few more hand towels in kitchen, and even a dish drainer might make the place even more "homey"/comfortable. Perhaps the owner is new to BnBs or this is a new listing and "still in the works. Overall, not bad."

The rug in front of the shower was dirty. There was a wet comforter in the washer left to smell. Also the floor planks had started to separate. Someone could trip or hurt themselves on those separations."

The bathroom has an XL tub. This place is super convenient located only 16 miles from the Capitol and 11 from the airport. You can be close to town but in a classic WV mountainous wilderness setting. There is a country store next to the house open everyday. Visit Quick, WV!
There is ample parking front and back of the house for anyone with trailers. There are camper hookups, water hose and dumping station on the property. It is a cozy spacious place to crash after riding atvs all day, swimming, waterfall hunting, rock collecting, hunting....and more. This place is close enough to the Capitol to enjoy a break from town for a night! This is a great place to just take a break even if you are local, like a mini vacation. Host your birthday parties and family reunions here and more! Quick, WV is centrally located and the home is large enough to use as a central meeting place. There are 2 large dining tables.

The space
The Loft is a completely renovated open floor plan/studio concept in a converted third floor attic.

The kitchen features beautiful granite countertops, brushed nickel faucet with pull-down sprayer, stainless steel appliances (full refrigerator and freezer, 4-burner electric stove and oven, dishwasher). Traditional coffee pot, cutlery, dishware, cookware, etc. Private full size stackable washer/dryer. The bathroom features a custom shower and tile work, granite countertop, and brand new fixtures. (please note, the shower space was to maximize efficiency; guests over 6 feet tall may find the shower a bit claustrophobic, but functional).

Our guests will enjoy a queen-sized Sleep Number bed, pull-out futon, 43 inch Smart flatscreen TV with streaming apps (use your own login) and high-speed wifi Internet, high-top dining table for two/workstation, and fully stocked with kitchen supplies for cooking, coffee maker, microwave, etc. Key-pad entry lock to common door and another keypad entry lock to loft with private and secure entrance. The space is pet friendly, just add a guest for each dog starting with the 3rd guest. There is a $10 fee per animal, per day, due to the additional cleaning required for future guests and potential sensitivity to animal dander.

Our home as a good sized living room with a comfy couch and chair. The living room also boasts a 55 inch smart TV. One bedroom has a queen size bed, while the other bedroom has a bunk bed that is a twin on top and a full on the bottom. There is a fully fenced backyard which includes s fantastic fire pit for late night snuggles and entertainment.

Private entrance with lovely deck and view of the Coal River. Park in our driveway and enter around back through wooden gate and continue along gravel path to suite's entrance.

Guests have access to the entire Queen suite which includes large bathroom, closet, and private deck. Guests may also use the back yard area or fire pit (at their own risk).

Please be aware that we do have children and pets. They will not be in your space, but you will definitely see "signs of life". Our Labradoodle Barnabas and his sidekick Goldendoodle Finn might greet you with a bark, and you'll see our children (or their toys) playing in the yard frequently.

We were able to recover everything except the pergola (much to our dismay). It is still a lovely place to sit and enjoy an evening outdoors, but guests have inquired as to why our pergola is not accessible.

Hi, this is a really special community space that is home to professionals, artists, musicians and travelers. The Strawn Chalet is located in Charleston, WV, the states capital. There is a panoramic view of Charleston and the Kanawha River. It sits beside a national historic landmark, Fort Scammon in the heart of the Fort Hill district. Fort Scammon is an earthen battlement raised in 1863 during the Civil War.

The space
Enjoy a recently renovated spacious (275 sq ft) room complete with full bath. Room offers all the amenities of home. Complete with Wifi and space to engage computer work if needed. Tranquility & quietness are abound.

It has a PRIVATE ENTRANCE. THERE ARE 25 STEPS to and from the parking pad.
Guests have access to a 1500 square foot deck with panoramic view of majestic mountains coddle the city of Charleston, WV.

This cozy, fully furnished townhouse with equipped kitchen is close to 1-64 near both Nitro and St. Albans. This convenient location is 7-15 miles from the Mardi-Gras Casino, Thomas Memorial Hospital, Shawnee Sports Complex, John Amos Power Plant, Clay Center, Baseball Field, and downtown Charleston.

You get an entire townhouse to yourself! There is a dining room table that can double as a nice work area that you can view the TV from as well. Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms with Queen size beds and a common bathroom.

Historic 1900 refurbished home, equidistant from Capitol & downtown, one block from river, as well as kid’s park. Wi-Fi and endless hot water. One king-size bed and one twin. Always available on-street parking in front of house. Located on the third floor, as it does not have its own egress. Truly unique and spacious! Important to note- there are many guests on the first two floors at all times, please see property description.

The space
Hi, this is a really special community space that is home to professionals, artists, musicians and travelers. This home is perfectly located in downtown Charleston, and bodes more of a hostel vibe than a home. If you prefer a more quiet and conservative stay, then this may not be the place for you. But, if you are up for possibly meeting some cool new people that you may call a friend one day, then this will be your new home away from home.

Two dogs, chihuahua and aussiedoole (hypoallergenic) on premises. They never go upstairs even when vacant. It may seem odd to walk through someone else's space, but you'll see it's not that way at all.
Large, completely fenced back yard for pets that like to run their hearts out.

Also, this is one of two listings within the same house. The other listing is on the second floor with me.

This listing includes the entire 3rd floor, accessed by walking through 1st floor door. House has keypad entrance, 3rd floor has own key and deadbolt.

Other things to note
Parking not allowed on North side (River) of street Tuesday between 9am-12, or on South side (House) between 12-2pm.

I use hypoallergenic detergent on all laundry! There will be wrinkles. In everything. Please see past them. I also might be the only bnb host to wash their comforters every time...

If you leave for an extended period of time, please turn AC off or switch to ECO.

You don’t have to worry so much about being quiet. I understand a lot of people are on a vacation of some sort and I just want you to live your best life.

If you have a dog with separation anxiety and/or prone to barking, please try not to leave it alone here for too long at a time, or let me watch after it.

Television has HBO, Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, Disney

The house has been 90% renovated and mostly with recycled materials, so what you may think is dirty is likely just unfinished.

I do most all of this alone, so please be patient with shortcomings, and ALWAYS COMMUNICATE so I make your stay better :)
