If you like both then make sure you stay here during the Greenbrier River Race in late April. This mini triathlon provides a 3 mile run, 4 mile paddle in a kayak, and a 10 mile ride on a bike.

The Cass Scenic Railroad provides an excellent trip on a coal powered steam engine to the top of Bald Knob and on a clear day you can see for miles around. Bald Knob is the highest summit of Back Allegheny Mountain and is part of Cass Scenic Railroad State Park. At an altitude of 4,843 feet (1,476 m) above sea level, Bald Knob is the third-highest point in West Virginia and the Allegheny Mountains. This trip will allow for the beauty of West Virginia to be explored.

Do not forget to take a scenic drive over the mountains on the Highland Scenic Highway. This is perfect for motorcyclists or those who like to stop at beautiful scenic outlooks that will take your breath away. This national forest scenic byway will take you from Richwood to U.S. Route 219, seven miles north of Marlinton. The Highway follows State Route 39/55 for 21 miles from Richwood to the Cranberry Mountain Visitor Center. It then turns onto State Route 150 for the 22 mile Parkway section and rises from an elevation of 2,300 feet to over 4,500 feet.

One can also find time to experience backpacking trips or day hiking on the wondrous Cranberry Glades, the largest bog in WV. A unique exotic ecosystem on 750 acres is home to 60 unique plant species. Early October is the best time to take hikes. The orange, reds, and yellows will explode over the mountain tops.

The owners were easy to communicate with and always available. They kitchen was perfect for whatever you wanted to make, and there were plenty of spices, eggs, butter, coffees, oils etc, which I thought was a very nice touch. House is very comfortable and could easily support 8. Important to note that all the bedrooms are upstairs, and probably not suitable for the physically challenged. There is one bathroom upstairs and one downstairs. All in all, very happy we stayed there, and you probably will too!"

Although the house is one block from the center of town, shopping, restaurants, theater, antique shops, galleries, etc it is quiet and has a private setting. A walk down a garden path to your private entrance takes you into a country kitchen/dining room and a comfortable living room with mantels carved by Conrad Burgess, high ceilings, lots of windows and original wood floors.
This is the 'Second North House'; this is the home that Charlotte and John North built when they left the First North House which is now The North House Museum. The beds are topped with memory foam, the sheets fine cotton, with duvets and fluffy pillows. The towels are 100% cotton and the shampoos and hand soaps are natural and high quality. A few more minutes east of Lewisburg, ( home of the WV State Fair), you can be in White Sulphur Springs for the annual Greenbrier Classic. We have the Greenbrier State Forest and the river trail within 45 minutes. Babcock State Park, Pipestem State Park, Grandview State Park, New River Gorge, Twin Falls State Park, Sandstone Falls, all within surrounding counties. Excellent area to kayak, horseback ride, trout fish, bike ride or bring your ATV's. Welcome to hike around the farm and see all the farm animals and wildlife.

We love our bungalow, tucked away off the main street in downtown Lewisburg. Formerly a spacious carriage house, it's been completely rebuilt from top to bottom with an open concept living, dining and relaxing area with 14’ ceilings; two large comfortable bedrooms with walk in closets; and a separate laundry room. - "Easy communication. Spacious rooms. Pretty quiet. " - "We had a lovely relaxing stay at the salt cave lodge. We came in the day before our booked spa treatment and stayed at the lodge. The accommodation was incredibly well thought out and provided a relaxing experience. ZEN!!! The bedrooms looked like rooms in a cave with curving walls, soft lighting, large salt lamps that glowed and even crystals embedded in the walls. The details – the wood tables, blankets, rugs, were impressive. The main room was a living room/dining room/kitchenette. They did have a large tv in the living room area and had wi-fi (relaxing without being disconnected). There were also salt lamps in all of the rooms so even watching tv gave off the salt cave vibe. Outside our rooms was a fire pit that could be used – but I would recommend bringing bug spray in the summer – just in case. Parking and the spa were right there and check-in very easy. Salt cave session was included so we booked that for the next day prior to our spa appointments. The spa location is outside White Sulfur Springs and at least 15 minutes away from Lewisburg. The onsite café opens at 10 or 11 so we ran over to Lewisburg for an earlier breakfast and had a later lunch at the onsite café. With the microwave and frig you can bring food in or drive to one of the nearby restaurants (check their schedules). If the lodge shows rooms available but the spa looks booked online call the spa to double check their availability. I would definitely repeat the entire experience! Amazing!"

Enjoy the lovely setting of this unique 1965 vintage camper that sits by a fire pit and picnic table surrounded by moss and woods. This is Glamping! This little red ranch house is furnished with a double bed and dresser, kitchen table 2 chairs, and a couple cabinets there are 2 solar lights, bedding & an outside fire pit.There is also a small shower house with instant hot water. (NOTE- THIS WILL BE CLOSED NOV THRU MARCH) There is a porta potty approx 35 ft from the cabin, there a flashlight in the cabin to guide you to and from.
There is no running water or electric in this cabin, no AC, but there is usually a nice breeze under the shade tree. There is a propane wall heater for those chilly nights.
Just bring your essentials, a cooler of food and beverages, and a camera to capture the memories and leave your worries behind.

There are over 100 acres with miles of trails on CB Ranch to hike or ride and explore. Horses and small dogs are welcome with prior notice, additional fees may apply.

The area has many parks and trails for: Fly Fishing, Kayaking, Biking, Hiking, Photography, etc...

There is a shower house with instant hot water and a utility sink attached to the side of the building. There is also a porti potty close by. Kim’s Cottage is very close to everything. Just a few small blocks to Washington St downtown Lewisburg. Restaurants and Carnegie Hall and The West Virginia Live Theater. There is tons of shopping shopping shopping in Lewisburg and tons of things to do. Adults can stroll around and eat great food in one of 10 or more places to eat. You can catch a live play or hear music in any of the local bars or venues . Visit The Greenbrier Hotel and stroll around the grounds. The Greenbrier Trail.

The space
Kim's Cottage has a wonderful open space with a queen size bed and a mid century modern sofa/daybed. The space has a full bathroom with a shower. The studio has its own private entrance and porch for eating your takeout on. Inside a table for 2 a refrigerator and a microwave coffee pot and spring water. The Cottage does have a tin roof so when it rains you do hear the rain. Plenty of room for work or play. I am sorry at this time we do not accept pets.

We want to mention that we have one friendly dog in case anyone is allergic. He is almost always outside and sleeps in a separate area. You won't have to interact at all if you don't want to. We also have a tandem bike and extra bike. Our guest house is located steps away from downtown Lewisburg making it perfectly accessible to award-winning restaurants, unique shops, fine art galleries, boutique stores, nightlife, and historic sites.

Travel less than 5 minutes to the Greenbrier River Trail, 10 miles to the Greenbrier Resort, only 60 miles to Snowshoe Mountain Resort, and the Greenbrier State Forest is less than 15 miles away.

The space
We'll give you the WiFi password, but you'll have to use your own Netflix log in! What that means is we have WiFi and a Smart TV. The guest house is on the second floor of a private garage in a private residence located in the Historic District of Lewisburg, WV. You'll have your own space all to yourself: 1 bedroom/ 1 bathroom with full living room, dining area as part of the open floor plan. The kitchen has counter seating in addition to a full table with 4 chairs, and ample seating for lounging in the living room. The deck/balcony overlooks a private yard and has views of downtown Lewisburg. There is a dedicated/reserved, off-street parking spot. Laundry facilities can be made available upon request.

Other things to note
To ensure the outdoor lights function appropriately, please leave the rocker switches in their current position (located just inside the front door on your right). The two standard light switches will operate the lights in the dining and living rooms.

La Petite Maison is conveniently located just off the I-64 exit coming into Lewisburg and we are 3.5 miles from the Lewisburg Greenbrier Valley Airport. La Petite Maison is open concept with wood floors, a full bath with a shower (shampoo, cond, soap, towels etc) and a little retro kitchen including stove w oven, fridge, sink, microwave & hoosier cabinet w/ coffee maker (coffee & creamer included & toaster. There are plates, bowls, cups, pans, and silverware. We stock a few snacks, waters, pancake mix & syrup, butter & oil, and instant oatmeal etc as well as a full line of Rustic Miner Seasonings for cooking and grilling. We have a mini Blackstone grill for your use upon request. (We live next door). The bed is a full size with memory foam mattress, extra blankets & pillows. There is internet access and a 42" TV with Netflix, Prime, and Discovery channels. There is a live edge pecan wood bar w retro barstools to eat at inside or a whiskey barrel table & chairs on the porch to use. We keep hummingbird feeders on the porch and have lots of birds to watch in the yard and an antique lantern for lighting in the evenings, as well as string lights for cozy nights. You may also catch our white lab, Layla, out hunting the ever-evasive groundhogs now and then, but she lives inside with us. We supply West Virginia white oak wood chunks for the firepit, which also has a grill in case you'd like to sit under the stars and cook or roast marshmallows. We have roasting sticks for your use.
We are very close to everything! Historic downtown Lewisburg is 1.5 miles straight down the road for shopping or eating out at the many quaint and delicious restaurants. If you like history you will enjoy learning about the Civil War and many other historical events in the area as well as visiting the North House Historical Museum 2 mi down the road. Carnegie Hall, one of only 4 left being continuously used in the world, is 1.8 miles away and hosts many concerts and special events year round. The fairgrounds are also 4 mi straight down the road. Lost world caverns is 2.8 miles away. The Greenbrier Resort is only 9.8 miles away and is a lot of fun to explore. On your way there dont miss stopping in Barnwood Living, the store for Barnwood Builders. The Salt Caves are 18 miles away. The Greenbrier River Trail boat ramp is 5.5 miles away and a great place to put in your tubes or kayaks to float the river. Greenbrier river trail is 4 miles away and great to hike or just go for a walk. New River Gorge visitor center & bridge is 50 miles away with endless hiking and activites like whitewater rafting and zip-lining nearby. Snowshoe Ski Resort is 47 miles away. Cass Railroad is 49 miles away and the scenic train rides are gorgeous. Both are a beautiful drive and Greenbank Observatory is also that direction at 54 miles. If you like history you will enjoy learning about the Civil War and many other historical events in the area. THE LIST GOES ON......you will never run out of things to do here....it truly is "ALMOST HEAVEN". COUNTRY ROADS, TAKE ME HOME!

We love our spacious home strategically set back from the main street of downtown Lewisburg. Formerly a large brick carriage building, it's been completely renovated and is sparkling new with a loft-like vibe from top to bottom. The open concept living, dining and kitchen area features 14’ ceilings, two comfortable bedrooms with large closets, and a separate laundry room. We've included special touches such as a beautiful brick fireplace with gas logs (available October - April) and a large flat screen television. You'll feel very much at home. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the best of Lewisburg!

Located downtown, it's a short 10 to 15 minute drive to the The Greenbrier (America's Resort), kayaking on the Greenbrier River and the Greenbrier River Trail which offers excellent biking and hiking and many swimming holes to take a dip.

Snowshoe Mountain is a short 1.5 hour drive and features some of the best skiing on the East Coast. With Class V whitewater rafting, multiple state and national parks and forests, recreational bodies of water, world-class fly fishing, and scenic byroads, recreational pastimes abound nearby.

The two queen beds feature new high quality memory foam mattresses with luxurious cotton linens, fluffy pillows and European duvets. The towels are 100% organic cotton and the shampoos and hand soaps are high quality. The kitchen and dining room are fully outfitted, and the bath has double sinks and a walk-in tiled shower. Our city water is perfect to drink and there is no need to bring bottled water.

The front yard is perfect for relaxing - enjoy a cool drink on the lawn after an adventurous day of shopping, hiking or mountain biking. Beautiful outdoor seating and a wood burning fire-pit are features of the beautiful yard which has just been renovated. We’re excited to share our new patio and beautiful landscaping!

Historic Downtown Lewisburg is one of West Virginia’s top tourist destinations. Our lively town offers amazing restaurants and pubs, galleries, quaint shops and incredible antique shopping. We have a wonderful arts and outdoor recreation vibe and we're the perfect home base for your shopping, hiking, mountain biking or skiing adventure.
Lewisburg is also about seven miles from "America's Resort," the Greenbrier Resort and Spa.

Carnegie Hall is practically across the street from our bungalow, and the Greenbrier Valley Theatre, the North House Museum and the Lewisburg Welcome Center are all less than a five minute walk. Lewisburg's many restaurants and shops are also within easy walking distance. World famous Jim’s Drive-In is just up the hill and it’s only a short drive to the Greenbrier if you have an event there. If you happen to fly in it’s also 6.5 miles from the Greenbrier Valley Airport (LWB) located on US 219, three miles north of I-64, which offers daily United Express jet service to Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Washington Dulles (IAD). The airport offers daily and seasonal flights, complete FBO service, and easily accommodates private aircraft. Roanoke Airport (ROA) is located only 1 hr. and 20 min. away and offers flights to many major cities on the East Coast.
