- "It's not really the owner's fault at all but the place is built on a rather treacherous bit of mountainside in the Shenandoah. The website doesn't really give much warning about this and there isn't any sort of guardrails. There is a hell of a 'pucker factor' getting to and from the location as it's just one lane. But once you get there- My GOSH! So beautiful-- so inviting.. and so, so so sooo cozy! Makes it all worthwhile!! As I said before, unless a millionaire wants to donate $$$$$$ for them to build a two lane bridge connecting the property to the hardball, not too much to be done!!"

There is not an elevator in the building. The apartment spans the entirety of the building`s upper level over the law offices on the main floor, ensuring lots of privacy during your stay. Settle in - the entire upper level is all yours!

During your stay, you`ll have one dedicated parking spot only steps away from the loft`s private entrance. Guests planning to utilize the dedicated parking must provide their vehicle`s make and license plate number to accurately update the parking pass. Additional parking can be found just off Jefferson Street, also steps away from the Warehouse Loft.

You`ll also have access to the basement laundry facilities during your stay. The basement laundry is also available to the building`s law offices, but is used infrequently.

Our guest house is only a few minutes away from both Lexington and Buena Vista. The house has one master bedroom with a king size bed. We have a fully functional kitchen, washer and dryer, and full bathroom. We are also close to the Appalachian Trail, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Virginia Military Institute, Washington and Lee University, and the Virginia Horse Center. Historical downtown Lexington is a great place to spend a long weekend and is full of history. The house provides great views and a place to relax either on the back porch or a walk through the surrounding area. Rockbridge County is full of art, culture, parks and trails. The Granary is perfect for families, comfortably sleeping 7+people. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed, and in the living room, aqueen-sized sleeper sofa and a twin-sized daybed. The lower-levelbedroom has queen-sized platform bed, luxury bedding, walk-in closet, reading nook and direct access to the private rear deck. It comfortably sleeps 4 with a queen bed on the main level and 2 single beds in the loft. We are happy to accommodate a 5th guest on a trundle bed in the loft for an additional fee. Please note that the loft is accessed by a mounted ladder with a safety railing, which may not be suitable for all guests.

The eat in kitchen is fully stocked to prepare all of your meals. We provide organic coffee and teas, sugar, creamer, olive oil, salt and pepper. The bathroom features EWG certified clean shampoo conditioner and local artisan soap.

Unplug, explore, read from a carefully curated selection of books, or play a number of favorite games. Turn on the tv upstairs or the portable DVD downstairs to enjoy a variety of movies.

Our cabin is on the side of the mountain with some steep terrain and lots of natural elements outside to discover. The creek is a fun place to splash and explore.

Cell phone service is very limited.

There is no Internet at this time.

Note that in all of the beauty and serenity of nature, there can be dangers. Please be aware of your surroundings- and remember that we share this amazing property with insects, plants, and animals that are native to the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Like everyone else said, pictures don’t do the tent justice. It’s so lovely and has everything you need. I was surprised by how many outlets were available. The rain shower was amazing and hot. The bed was comfy, loved the grill and fire table. The first night we (my 2 boxers & I) just relaxed and enjoyed being outside. The next day we hiked crabtree falls, hit up devil’s backbone outpost, and went to hull’s drive in. After we checked out we hit up the natural bridge before we headed home. Lots of dog friendly activities and more to try next time. We will definitely be back when it’s too cold to camp. This is a hidden gem and the cabins onsite also looked great. Guests have access to the main living areas and bedrooms. The basement and attic are off limits to guests. The home is attached to commercial retail space, which shares the parking lot, but commercial areas have separate entrances.

We do not live on the property, but we have a local team who can provide assistance as necessary. We will not interfere with our guests` visit but can always be reached by message, email, or phone.

Historic downtown Lexington is brimming with charm! Take a stroll on the brick sidewalks and peruse the local art galleries and charming retail stores. Grab a cup of espresso, a homemade gelato, or enjoy a meal featuring local meat and produce.

The Beebe House is located in downtown Lexington and is very walkable to and from many local restaurants and attractions. We recommend bringing your own vehicle for getting around, however, as there are very limited public and shared transportation options.

We are a 10 minute drive to the VA Horse Center and a 20 minute drive to Natural Bridge.

Just up Main Street you’ll find Oak Grove Cemetery, the burial place of Stonewall Jackson and a must-see tourist destination for anyone visiting Lexington! The home is attached to commercial retail space, which shares the parking lot, but commercial areas have separate entrances.

The White Tree Inn is a lived-in boarding house with two shared bathrooms and multiple private bedrooms. It is a 125 year old house that has its own unique charm. Honestly, if you want a hotel style stay, this is NOT it. But, we enjoy sharing our home with others and try to thoughtfully make your stay as safe, comfortable and restful as possible!

We would also love to share details about Buena Vista, its history, where to eat, what to do, or on the other hand, leave you alone.

The space
Our home was built in 1896.
We have been asked if it was built as a nunnery because it was immediately in front of the Catholic Church which was located on the next lot on 21st Street but removed to Lexington in 1911.
In the 1920's-40's the house functioned as a boarding house run by Jenny Brown and her daughters. J.W. Brown, her husband, was a railroad conductor until he lost an arm in a railroad accident. In time, the boarding house became their mainstay with the daughters selling bag lunches at the railroad depot two block away. Significant town figures, like the high school baseball coach Louis V. "Nubby" Schreiner, Doctor Eason, railroad workers, clerks, stenographers, etc. boarded in the abundant bedrooms.
Our hometown historian, Francis Lynn, said that important individuals in town "took their meals" at Jenny Brown's boarding house. Lynn knows that Jenny only purchased the finest fresh meats because he delivered them to her back door as a teenage worker at the downtown butcher shop. Lynn, who grew up across the street and a few houses down, also remembers that the residents enjoyed music and visiting in the evening after their dinner meal.
We hope to learn more about this home we love and the people who walked its halls. We also hope that everyone who visits the White Tree Inn leaves inspired to learn more about the everyday historic aspects of their homes, towns and families!

This is a 14 year old home in a quaint, older neighborhood. It has spectacular views! It is located a block from Southern Virginia University, less than 3 miles from Glen Maury Park, 7 miles from Washington & Lee University, Virginia Military Institute, and The Virginia Horse Center. We are also close to Natural Bridge, the Appalachian Trail, and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The space
This is a very comfortable room that includes a mini fridge, microwave, Keurig for hot beverages, WiFi, and satellite TV with DVR. A variety of snacks are provided.

This second story room within a brand new home has a gorgeous view. You will feel peaceful and relaxed within the quiet of the home. Enjoy your private bath, and our lovely kitchen, front deck, laundry room, dining room and family room. The bedspread may look different than pictures. Because we watch ALL linen each time a guest visits, some comforters have been worn out.

You have three adults on the 28 acres here. At least one will be available to help at all times!

The space
So, the driveway is long and goes way up. It is gravel. But the view from your room should make it really worth it! Our home is comfortable and out in the rural part of the county. The drive is about 12-15 minutes from Lexington but exquisitely beautiful. Once you have gotten out of town, you will meander along three smaller rivers with a gorgeous view. The house is big and peaceful.

The space
We built this basement from the ground up. It is very clean and cozy. It has imperfections with the drywall, paint, grout...etc. as this was our first construction project. The washer and dryer were recently updated on 12-09-2022. We personally wash and sanitize everything after each stay as cleanliness is our top priority.

It was with a lot of hard work and love that it came together. We truly hope you enjoy your stay.

The upstairs is also an Airbnb rental, in which we have remodeled as well! Quiet hours are 10-8 and we hope you enjoy your stay!

Our home is located in Buena Vista within walking distance to Southern Virginia University. There are hiking trails in the woods behind our house that we use daily. Lexington, Washington and Lee University, Virginia Military Institute and many historical sights, are about 15 minutes away by car. The Blue Ride Parkway, the Appalachian Trail, and the Virginia Horse Center are also close by.

The space
You will be renting the entire, finished basement portion of the house. It has a bed room, 1/2 bath, living area, pool table, games, table and chairs, full size refrigerator and a microwave. You will have your own private entrance. Upstairs, you may also access the washing machine and dryer, if needed. The full bath with the shower is located upstairs. There is a privacy door that separates this area from the rest of the house.

Apart from the queen size bed in the bedroom, there is also a full size bed in the family room.

Guests have access to the finished basement portion of the house, the laundry room, and the full bath upstairs. Guests also may park in the driveway.
