Welcome to the Hillside Hideaway in historic Marietta, OH. This A-frame cabin style home features 3 levels with a stunning view overlooking Marietta and The Ohio River. The outdoor space is top notch! Features include a deck that encompasses the entire front of the home, private balcony off the loft, and another deck nestled under the trees in the rear of the home. Hillside Hideaway offers 3 floors of living space. Ground level features a family room with a sofa, side chair with ottoman, 50” Roku TV, and a queen size bed is set up in one portion of the space for sleeping quarters. A full bathroom is on this level. One half of this level features a 1 car attached garage with the laundry in the garage. The second level is a showstopper with the exposed wood beams, floor to ceiling stone fireplace and spiral staircase leading to the loft. A galley style kitchen with bar seating for 4 and a dining table for 4 is on this level. The cozy living room features a 50” Roku TV, sofa and leather recliner. A desk and desk chair are located near the kitchen for any work/school needs. A queen bedroom with a Roku TV and a newly renovated full bathroom with tub/shower combo complete the second level. There are 3 sets of French doors leading to the front and back decks on this level, one from the living room, one in the kitchen and one from the bedroom. The third level is the loft. This level is accessed by the spiral staircase only and it is open to the second level. The loft is very spacious with a King bed and a Queen bed. There is a walk-in closet that runs the length of the loft and a Roku TV. A cozy sitting area with a leather oversized chair overlooks the sliding door that leads to a private balcony with stunning treetop views. There are multiple sets of patio furniture on the decks. Keep in mind in order to get these views, we are perched on a hilltop. While our portion of the driveway is paved, it is steep. The city streets leading to the property are also steep and narrow, but the view is stunning once you get to the top! Located within walking distance to Marietta College campus and sports fields. The drive is steep but paved so choose an appropriate vehicle, but it’s a great place with more than enough room for 6 adults and a short drive (5-8 minutes tops) from downtown" - "We needed somewhere close to Marietta College to stay and visit with our daughter after a lacrosse game. This was perfect! It was clean and close by and the layout allowed us time to visit, but gave us all privacy for sleeping! River Rock Cottage is a fully furnished 3 bedroom Victorian style home. The 2nd & 3rd bedrooms are adjoining and entrance to the upstairs bath from all rooms is through twin bedroom. Youll have the entire home for your family and friends. The inviting front porch is a great place to unwind and enjoy the sights and sounds of small town living. Our kitchen is fully equipped for your convenience and has everything you need to prepare a meal should you choose to eat 'in.' We have a grill for outdoor cooking and outdoor seating on the back deck for dining. Our large dining room table will accommodate your large family gatherings! - "The property was in great condition. A great remodeled apartment right in the middle of everything in historic Marietta. We enjoyed walking to all of the restaurants, shops, rivers and historical places within 10-15 minutes. One thing to be aware of is the First Fridays is a big event in Marietta. The street to get to the parking lot (Butler St) is closed off from Front St during that event. Just go from Second St to Butler St and you can get in. Again great place to stay!"

Our space is a beautifully restored historic ballroom that inhabits the entire third floor of this 1800's downtown building. It's a rare find that's both historic and one-of-a-kind. You will now find 3 separate bedrooms, all with queen beds. One of the bedrooms is a loft style room that overlooks the ballroom, which is now open concept kitchen, dining and living area. You will find one full bathroom and another half bathroom. There are also two separate work spaces in the apartment.

There are 3 TV's, each equipped with a Roku - they each have a Netflix account, YouTube account, and several other apps that are available for use. We do not have traditional cable TV.

When you arrive and walk into this rv you'll find it to be spacious and inviting with plenty of room to stretch out. The campground is family owned and very friendly it offers many amenities such as a shower house, playground, basketball court, horseshoes, cornhole and a boat ramp so bring your boat, kayaks, jet skis etc. the campground is relatively small with around 50 rvs. The campground is just 2 miles from Historical Downtown Marietta Ohio which offers history, quaint shops, restaurants, a walking and bicycle path and if you like to swim the aquatic center.

It took a running start each time to get to the house. Then the only entrance to the house was thru the basement and up very steep and narrow staircase. Ok i guess for young folks but not good for senior citizens. The water was horrible. Felt slimy and stunk like fish pond water. Host did provide lots of drinking water which was greater appreciated. The property was originally constructed in 1937 and was home to a number of businesses over the years. After we acquired the property at the beginning of 2023, we spent about 11 months renovating the space. You will now find four beautiful apartments in the building.

The master bedroom offers a Queen size bed with a master bathroom attached. One of the bedrooms has one queen bed and the other bedroom has two twin beds.

The backyard consists of a 4’ above ground swimming pool (please inquire if it is open when booking), firepit and patio.

If you are looking to explore other activities outside of the wonderful Scenic Ranch Getaway there are plenty of attractions.
-The Wilds (19 miles away) is a 10,000 acre adventure park that offers guided safari tours, zip line, horseback tours and fishing safaris.
-Seneca Lake park (17 miles away) offers a beach that is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. They have a beach volleyball court, kids playground, basketball courts, and walking trails. Boat rentals are available at the Marina. Guided Kayaking Programs are offered throughout the season. You can also fish to catch catfish, bullheads, bass, perch and walleye.
-Mosser Glass (26 miles away) offers tours of their factory and has a showroom where you can buy handmade gifts.

- "Property is nice and clean, manager is responsive and easy to work with. Good communication. Pool is large, toys and equipment included. This is not a five star hotel location, but is in a very quiet, mountainous (as mountainous as it gets in SE Ohio) location. House is a little difficult to find, but it is set back a bit. Air conditioning works great, water pressure is a bit low, kitchen well stocked with utensils and appliances. Bathrooms large and accommodating. Good location for four to six people to spend a few days enjoying some quiet country life."
