🌱 Landscaping: Landscapers stop by every other Friday, usually mid-morning. They’ll be in the yard briefly but won’t need to enter the house.

🗑️ Trash Day: Fridays. Our team manages bins, unless you’d like to handle it yourself.

The house is most comfortable for up to 6, but can sleep up to 10.

Guests will have access to all areas of the house with the exception of the garage. There is a guesthouse and a guest suite in the backyard that can be rented in addition to the house (each sleeps up to 2). If not rented, there may people in those spaces, who have their own entrance and no access to the main house.

The space:
We purchased this property so we could walk everywhere in Davis! Over the years, our family expanded, and we needed a larger space, so we offer our beloved 2200 sq. feet house in the heart of Davis for your stay. The house has been fully upgraded with hardwood environmentally friendly bamboo floors (one of our kids has severe allergies, so we replaced all the carpet throughout the home with hardwood floors), new air and heating, new shades, as well as new furniture, sheets, blankets, etc. It is the only new-er (2004 built) three-story home in Central Davis with a large loft on the third floor, which can be used as an additional bedroom, work room, playroom, or a combination of all three!

We are locals and invested in ensuring that your stay is of quality and nothing short of exceptional, so we are happy to customize the house to meet your needs! To this end, if you're bringing children, please let us know, and we'll be happy to provide toys/games and ensure suitable sleeping arrangements. As parents ourselves, we are glad to accommodate your kids' playing needs!

Your space is completely separate and private from the rest of the house. In addition, there is lots of room in our cul-de-sac for free parking! We have two friendly dogs and two cats that can't access your area and have their own section of the yard. The house and neighborhood are generally quiet and peaceful, and the greenbelt around us is a lovely walk.

The dog is a little vocal at first meeting but is friendly and sweet afterwards.

I have a hypo-allergenic 20 pound dog (breed is Coton de Tulear). He is friendly and playful and will bark if someone knocks or rings the door bell.

He hangs out in the living room on his perch watching squirrels and birds during the day.

He gets two walks a day on the green belt (first thing and at dinner time) and he will be happy to go on more walks if you are up for the adventure!

The house is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood and situated just a block from the UNI bus line to the University. From this point, the University is a ten minute bus ride or bicycle ride. A bicycle is available for you use.Just a few blocks away is the Yolo bus line to the Sacramento International Airport.
Davis has many restaurants, shops and points of interest. . My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

A home office room and open desk area with b&w laser printer at the top of the stair landing are also potentially usable if desired and requested, as well as some refrigerator shelf space if you wish to store and keep some items cold. Full use of the microwave is also allowed.

If you don’t have a car and you need groceries only 5 minutes walks take you to grocery store, it can’t get any easier than that. Very convenience.

Please note the beds are non-standard sizes: 48" by 79" and 40" by 82". Kind of like extra-long twins in length but larger than twins, but less wide than doubles in width.

The space can fit up to four people, and has accommodated four adults more than once, but is very tiny, and best accommodates one person, or an adult and child, or two people who are happy together in a small space.

Cozy guesthouse located conveniently to downtown and the university. Walk or bike to UC-Davis, downtown, and the Amtrak train station, though parking is available if you have a car. The guesthouse includes the use of a bicycle, so you can explore the most bike-friendly town in the U.S. Most furnishings and décor are new, selected by a designer.

The space
The 182 square feet of indoor space includes a bedroom/living room, private bathroom with tub/shower, and small closet. The room has air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The patio offers an additional 119 square feet of private outdoor space.

The guesthouse is located in the backyard of our family home. You have your own space and your own point of entry. You may hear occasional noise from children if they are playing outside.

The space is most comfortable for one person, but can fit two.

There is a bicycle available for use if desired.

There is not a full kitchen in the guesthouse, though there is a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot and tea kettle. There are is not laundry in the guesthouse. When we are home, we can wash and dry your laundry for a charge. Or there is a laundromat within biking distance.
