The house is about a 7 minute walk from the always fun broadway triangle; an area with great shops, breweries, GREAT FOOD and a kick ass bookstore. I love the Plant Foundry (nursery and garden) and i think you might, too.
Also, if you're stopping by in the Summer months (May - September) I highly recommend a visit to Oak Park Gather- a neighborhood event featuring local food and beverage vendors, cool crafts AND live music!

The property is pending sale, and the “manager”, Jeff Martin, is unprofessional and dismissive. I booked this house for my first baby shower in May 2024, which Jeff knew about. Upon arrival, the house was 90 degrees, and the pool was filthy. At 6.5 months pregnant, this was unacceptable and extremely stressful. Jeff was dismissive, offering no immediate solution for the broken AC and dirty pool. He assured us the AC would be fixed, but despite the efforts, it remained unfixed, and we spent the time in unbearable heat, unable to sleep. The following morning, the AC technician confirmed it couldn’t be repaired that day, contradicting Jeff’s previous claims. Jeff’s gaslighting and refusal to resolve our issues added to my extreme stress, impacting my health and my baby’s well-being. VRBO was also unable to reach him for further assistance. My family, including elderly relatives, suffered from the heat, and our special event was ruined. The immense stress and physical discomfort have made me sick, and I now require antibiotics due to a suppressed immune system while pregnant. Jeff’s negligence, dishonesty, and lack of responsibility make this the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. This experience caused severe physical and emotional stress, affecting both me and my baby. Jeff completely ruined my special day, and I would never handle my business clients this way. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!"

Our home is only 10 minutes from minutes from downtown Sacramento. It’s very close to shops, local breweries, the Golden 1 Center, Sacramento State University and major highways. The UC Davis Med Center is within walking distance. This is an eclectically decorated 2 story condo filled with art from local artists.

The Space:
This 2 story condo includes a private outdoor porch area, covered parking on site and an always fun game room complete with arcades and Super Nintendo nostalgia. Your booking actually helps real artists within the community! Their art is featured in the house and also available for purchase :)

The Neighborhood:
Tahoe Park is an established, safe and quiet neighborhood. The residents are easy going. The house itself is about a 5 minute drive from the always fun broadway triangle (in Oak Park); an area with great shops, breweries, and a kick ass bookstore. I love the Plant Foundry (nursery and garden) and i think you might, too.

Getting Around:
If you get the chance, try the city's newest form of transit - electric bike sharing! JUMP Bikes are becoming more and more popular in the area and are a really fun way to get around. Of course Uber and Lyft are everywhere too!

Public transportation runs up and down the main cross street (Broadway); although I'm not the best with navigating the routes. Midtown is a 8 minute car ride away.

Please note that the Condo has two parking spaces #165 and 164 which are next to one another. Free street parking is also available!

At the front door, you can say "Hello" with the Nest Video Doorbell - just push the button (if you want to). The neighborhood is not often monitored by parking enforcement so guests never have trouble leaving their cars passed the 1 hour parking limit. Be aware of street cleaning on Mondays and Tuesdays. Street cleaning signs apply to everyone - even vehicles with parking permits. The home-side of the street has street cleaning on Tuesday mornings from 10 AM to 12 PM and the opposite side of the street has street cleaning on Monday mornings from 10 AM to 12 PM.

My house located Florin of Sacramento, CA, between Sacramento and Elk Grove. it is easy to access freeway CA-99, also easy to I-5 and CA-50 etc. Drive 15 minutes to Sacramento downtown. It is a quiet neighborhood, about 2 miles to SF Supermarket, Walmart, 1 mile to Costco, walk to Starbucks, McDonald's, and restaurants.

Kitchen:
You will have access to the shared kitchen. There is a medium sized refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, garbage disposal, toaster oven, microwave, rice maker, grill, and drip coffee maker. Bring your own coffee. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, towels, etc. You will be provided a dedicated kitchen cabinet, extra-large pantry shelf, and a dedicated refrigerator shelf for your personal food storage. There is a private mini refrigerator in your bedroom for additional cold food storage. Oil, salt & pepper is provided. Eating and storing food is not allowed in the bedroom, other than in the mini fridge.

Living/Dining Room:
This is a space designed for gathering and relaxing. There is no tv in the living room to encourage conversation, friendly games and relaxation. There is a comfortable couch and hammock with lots of natural light. The dining table is set for 4.

Backyard:
The backyard is a tropical jungle cat setting. Here you will be surrounded by Balinese Bamboo. The birds here sing all day. Expect to see some exotic wild cats enjoying the peaceful setting with you. The yard backs up to a lush garden. Guests really enjoy watching the cats through the kitchen window. Don’t like cats? Don’t worry. They are wild and will run off as soon as you step outside. The yard is completely private from onlookers, and it comes with security fencing for max privacy. Outside you can lounge under the covered patio or in the sun. There are 2 tables for 4 with umbrellas.

Air Conditioning (summer):
Guests will be provided with a personal ac unit for their room per the host’s discretion based on local weather. Guests are expected to open the windows during the evening/night, and turn on the ceiling fan, to cool the room in lieu of using the air conditioner whenever possible. Leaving the ac on while away from the property, or while windows are open will be cause for immediate termination of the reservation without a refund. This is an older home built sometime in the 1950’s - 1960’s. The house walls and ceiling are not insulated to today’s specs. During the summer months, Sacramento County can experience weather with extreme heat for multiple days at a time. Individual ac units allow guests to set their own temp in their bedroom. There is no ac for the shared common spaces and on extreme heat days it is difficult to cool the house. This home gets a great delta breeze that cools off the house most evenings during the summer, but not every night is guaranteed to receive the delta breeze and not every day or night is guaranteed to be cool inside the main house. Most days are fine, but please expect that on extreme heat days the house may not cool down by the delta breezes. Bedrooms are the exception as they will have ac units during this period.

Heating (winter):
Guests will be provided with a personal heater for their room per the host’s discretion based on local weather. During the winter months make sure to set the temp to auto and do not set the temp over 75. Leaving the heater on while away from the property for extended hours, or while windows are open will be cause for immediate termination of the reservation without a refund. Additional heaters MAY be provided by the host in the shared common spaces per the hosts discretion. The temp will be set by the host for the shared spaces. Guests will not be allowed to adjust the temp unless the guest is authorized to do so.

The bedroom window is close to the main entry door of the house, and the exterior entry light. The bedroom window has privacy, light filtering, glass. Bring an eye mask if you are sensitive to light and ear plugs as you may hear the entry door open and close from time-to-time, when sleeping.

Socializing with guests is flexible depending on our mutual needs. I am an early riser and turn in at 10pm on weeknights, so I’m not open to long late night conversations while working but flexible on weekends.

No smokers or vaping or drugs, including cannabis please. If you are a smoker but won’t smoke on premises, unfortunately I still cannot host you. Clothing with toxic smoke or vaping fumes permeate the space and are very hard to remove. Thank you for respecting my home. This is a very firm policy that I appreciate you respecting. Also, public transportation is not a good option for guests in much of Placer County.
