A GORGEOUS TRANQUIL GARDEN STUDIO COTTAGE FOR TWO PEOPLE & DOG FRIENDLY. A LOVELY COUNTRY RETREAT AND COUNTRYSIDE WALKS TO THE BEACH

The cottage is located at Penwartha Coombe, next to the village of Bolingey and only a 20min walk to the stunning beach at Perranporth on the North Cornish coast.

This cute cottage is perfect for couples. The conservatory is stunning, overlooking the peaceful garden and decking area and provides a comfortable sofa, smartTV and dining area. This leads to an open plan 'studio' living area in the old barn section of the property which includes a modern kitchen with full size cooker, fridge and microwave oven. There is a double bed and plenty of cupboard space for all of your holiday belongings. The cottage has a seperate shower room with a modern walk in shower cubicle, basin and loo.
Electricity, linen, towels, fastspeed Wifi along with tea, coffee etc are included in the rental cost. Dogs are welcome for a standard pet fee.
Breakfast can be taken on the deck whilst listening to the restful babbling stream on the other side of the lane.
The garden is shared with our other one bedroom cottage Bills Barn.

There is a beautiful historic village pub serving food within easy walking distance and plenty of options for food and entertainment in Perranporth.
The beach at Perranporth is a 20 minute walk along the peaceful stream, through the village of Bolingey. Parking space is available at The Studio, with it being only 10 minutes from the A30, we are ideally placed for your Cornish adventure.

- "Lovely stay at the haven park. The caravan was easy to find with the host directions and very close to the shops. The cellular sign is t the best in Cornwall, but the host had this covered. Staying at the hotel you need to pay for the day pass to access the pool etc" - "Very nice caravan and very courteous owner. This wonderful holiday home is just a short walk from both the glorious golden sands of Perranporth Beach and its bustling town centre, which is full of independent shops, cafes and restaurants; everything holiday makers could need.

Beautifully presented throughout, this light and airy holiday home features up-side-down living. The first floor features a delightful balcony which overlooks the garden and sea beyond; this is accessed via the lovely dining room where everyone can gather round the large table and enjoy family feasts. Whip up lazy breakfasts or wonderful home-made delights in the well-equipped kitchen; and with the handy dishwasher you will find clean up a breeze. After long days at the beach, come home and relax in the cosy sitting room; the sofa can transform into a handy double bed allowing groups of up to ten guests to enjoy a holiday together.

Three out of the four bedrooms are located on the ground floor; there are two twin rooms, both of which can be super-kings on request and also have direct access out to the enclosed garden. The third bedroom is a double room; all three of these rooms are serviced by the family bathroom with a shower over bath, wash basin and WC. The final bedroom is located on the second floor and not only enjoys a king-size bed but beautiful views over Perranporth, towards the beach and out to sea; it also comes with its own en-suite shower room. Outside, via the ground floor is a lovely and enclosed garden with a decked area, patio and barbecue.

The property has been fitted with state of the art solar panels which are connected to a SolarEdge battery, with such it is capable of producing the property with half the energy needed required in the winter and significantly more in the summer; when coupled with the heat pump and high levels of insulation, the owners have come a long way in de-carbonising their home and taking the next step to sustainable holiday homes in Cornwall.

- "Enjoyed a lovely week away here with our dog. Great location, just 10 mins from the beach and centre of everything. Highly recommend" - "The accommodation was great - everything we needed" - "The house is lovely. The location for beach holiday or doing travelling around Cornwall is great and can be recommanded. We had a great time there. There were some issues that would be good to know: The house is advertised for 10 people, but there is only 4 bedrooms, the last couple will have a sofabed. Next to the sofabed are no storage facilities for clothes and it becomes quiet busy in the living room. The layout of the house regarding the bathrooms is not ideal. Making the top bathroom a en-suite bathroom - less accessable in general, while the downstairs bathroom is used by 6 people. The biggest issue was the equipment in the kitchen. There was not enough for 10 people without constantly washing up/dishwasher use. There were no rubbish bags (yellow and recycling) left on our arrival which you definitely need. Pans with Teflon surface were damaged (2 were replaced during our stay) and should be replaced. When raised some of our problems by email the company responded quickly and fixed what was possible. Cleanliness could be improved, esp. around the living area and kitchen area."

Perranporth's is a vibrant village with a good range of services. There is a well-stocked Co-Op and plenty of dining out options. We love The Massala Indian restaurant in Perranporth - The Bolingey Inn has great food (you need to book) and ditto The Miners Arms in Mithian, and The Tap House, Taste, & The Driftwood Spas in St Agnes (all within 3 miles).

The beach is a gentle 15 to 20 minute stroll along our new off road cycling track, or the country lane (or 5 minutes in the car) - perfect for a vintage style cream tea overlooking the sea at The Seiners Arms or watching the sunset with a sundowner at The Watering Hole.

If you fancy a walk in the country, we suggest a stroll to the Bolingey Inn (1/2 mile), or for the hardier, a 3 mile route up Cocks Hill to Callestick Farm to try their award winning ice-cream and meet their dairy herd, and on to Healey's Cider Farm for a refreshing pint of Cornish Rattler. On the way, spot our neighbour's lamas at Lama Lodge, and visit the beautiful parish church of St Piran at the top of the hill. (go straight across at the cross roads by the church to Callestick).

A cream tea will be waiting for you on arrival so you can put your feet up the minute you arrive. We also provide essentials like hand wash soap, washing up liquid and cloths, tea towels, loo rolls on arrival, black sacks, dishwasher tabs, washing powder.

We provide all linen, hand and shower towels and bath mats. Please do bring beach towels.

Information for Families
Perranporth beach has two full RNLI lifeguard cover stations from Easter til 1st November. Lifeguards patrol the main swimming and surfing areas to advise on beach safety.

Information for Dog Owners
Perranporth celebrates one of the few beaches in Cornwall on which dogs are allowed all through the year, even in the summer holidays. Our modest restriction is only in July and August between 10am and 5pm, during which time dogs are requested to be kept on leads when exercised on the first 1/4 mile of sand. You are still welcome to exercise dogs freely before 10am and after 5pm in this area. This leaves more than 2miles of beach as well as the huge dune area behind the beach, on which they can exercise freely at all times of the day and year. As dog owners and parents of young children, we've found these arrangements work really well (especially as our pointer Horace is not averse to helping himself to people's picnic hampers when off the lead). There are footpaths with huge areas of grassland to the north and south of the beach - we also recommend the huge area behind the sand dunes to the lost church which has great dog walking and fabulous views. We highly recommend Perranporth to dog owners for a vacation for these reasons.

Entrance is into the open plan kitchen, dining and living room. The new kitchen is fully fitted with a range of units and appliances. There’s a full size cooker, fridge, microwave and washing machine. There is a dining table and chairs for 4 people. The living room, which enjoys views of the sand dunes, is furnished with a beautiful large, leather corner settee and has a flat screen smart TV. The modern bathroom has a bath and shower over, wash-basin, WC and a heated towel rail.

Avala has been fully renovated throughout 2020 and finished to a very high standard. Situated in the heart of the village of Perranporth, the location is perfect if for accessing the beach and amenities on foot.

Downstairs
Downstairs, there is a large kitchen dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped with 2 ovens, an induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, a large fridge freezer and a Tassimo coffee machine. There is a large dining table to comfortably seat 10. There are also 2, 2 seat sofas in this room. The lounge has 3 sofas and a large wall mounted smart TV. There is one bedroom on the ground floor with a double bed and an en suite shower room. To the rear of the property there is a utility area with a washer/dryer and a shower room.

Upstairs
Upstairs there are 4 more bedrooms. 2 have double beds, one with an en suite shower room. One has 2 single beds and the other with full size bunk beds. The living room is beautifully furnished with a large corner sofa and an arm chair. There is a flat screen smart TV with streaming services or you can cast your own devices to it. Alternatively, when the tide is out, there even is a shortcut to the beach, often preferred by surfers. This goes through rocky steps, allowing you access straight onto the sand within the caves. Look for it off the Droskyn Point car park.

On site parking for two cars. The house is on Droskyn Point and requires mobility going back up the hill. You can also drive down to promenade and park the car for £1 per hour.

We have relocated closer to Plymouth for work and rent out our beautiful home when we're not able to enjoy it ourselves.

Cleaning at Chy Lowen is provided by a third-party cleaning company and subsidised by us to give you a clean and comfortable stay. While we appreciate this may seem high, it includes all cleaning prior to your stay, freshly laundered bath towels, bed linen, tea towels and an oven mitt. This also includes a bath set and tea tray to get you started on your holiday.

1. Living Room - has a selection of board games, Netflix and Prime video on a 50" 4K Smart TV (accessible via the TV remote) and the use of Spotify via Amazon Echo with 150Mb super-fast fibre-optic broadband.

2. Bedroom 1 - the cosy double bedroom offers a built-in wardrobe, a double-sized luxurious memory foam mattress for a great nights sleep and a TV with Freeview, Netflix and Prime video is also available. 3. Bedroom 2 - the cosy double bedroom offers pleasant views towards the rear garden with garden birds and other wildlife. My place is close to the beach, coastal walks, natural countryside and a short drive from Truro. Stop over on your way around Cornwall's stunning coastline. Go and explore Cornwall's rich history, take a surfing lesson or a leisurely walk around one of the county's National Trust properties and gardens.
Come home to a warm and quiet (ish) (we have a 2 year old) house, a comfy bed and friendly welcome.

Due to recent restrictions we will not be serving breakfast etc to guests. There are a myriad of cafes in the village and we’d encourage our guests to venture out and explore Perranporth.

We are a busy family- 3 children (15, 12 and 2) so if you don’t mind a bit of hustle and bustle around the house then you are more than welcome. We will always try to make sure you stay is as comfortable as possible.

Perran Sands Holiday Park offers exhilaration, space and tranquillity. Nestled amid the 5000 year old Penhale Sands the park sits on this unique landscape of towering sand dunes with direct access to a spacious, clean, sandy beach pounded by the wild Atlantic breakers: this is a surfer's paradise.

The village of Perranporth can be reached by walking along the large wide beach or by car or bus. Here are many unique shops and local cafes. There are plenty of gift shops too. The village also boasts a boating lake amid tropical gardens, spectacular views of the beach can be had from the sundial near the car park at Droskyn Point.

Down below are hundreds of rockpools and caves once haunted by smugglers. There is a tidal pool at Chapel Rock close to the Watering Hole pub which is on the beach itself. Both the local museum and tourist information centre have a wealth of maps and leaflets about the local history and local places such as the lost church in the sand dunes which is also an area of Special Scientific Interest. Whether you want to go horse riding, golfing, paragliding, surfing, or generally splashing around this is the place to be!

A beautiful caravan on Perran Sands Holiday Park, within walking distance to an award winning, golden sand beach.

The space
Located in the Kernow View area of Perran Sands Holiday Park, we are only a 5 minute walk from the entertainment complex and stunning 3 mile, golden, sandy beach.

Our Atlas Moonstone Special is a very spacious, 2 bedroom, 6 berth caravan with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom.

This pet friendly caravan on Perran Sands Holiday Park, benefits from its own private parking space directly next to the caravan as well as a decked ramp leading up to the rest of the decking area, complete with new ratan outdoor furniture. The decking also has its own gate, which is ideal for bringing your dog on holiday with you and keeping it secure.

The lounge has ample seating with its two free-standing sofas and a wraparound corner sofa in the dining area. One of the sofas features a brand new, pull out sofa bed which can comfortably sleep two guests. We have supplied a TV with built-in Freeview, and there is also a gas fire.

The open-plan kitchen is very well laid out, with plenty of storage cupboards and worktop space. There is a gas oven and 4 ring gas hob; a microwave and brand new (for the 2024 season) under-counter fridge with a freezer compartment; a kettle and toaster; and full crockery and cutlery inventory.

The large double bedroom consists of a double bed, two bedside cabinets, overhead storage units, a dressing table with a mirror and a large built-in double wardrobe with a separate shelving unit. Heating is via an electric panel heater.

Our twin bedroom has two single beds, a central bedside cabinet and a wardrobe, again with overhead storage units.

This caravan has a shower room and a separate WC and sink. The shower cubicle has just been refurbished with brand new shower panels. Both rooms are fitted with panel heaters.

Please note that there is no Wi-Fi at the caravan, but you can access Wi-Fi at the main complex, which is just a short walk away.

Additional Information

We supply all pillows, duvets and mattress protectors but guests are required to bring their own bed linen.

We are happy to accept well-behaved dogs in this caravan for an additional charge of £45 per dog, per week (max 2 dogs).
