- "Our stay at this hotel was thoroughly enjoyable, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The hotel itself is steeped in history and Cornish charm, having been built in 1838. It is located in the picturesque village of Zennor, which is situated between the rugged moors and granite cliffs of Cornwall's far west. One of the highlights of the location is the connection with the book "The White Horse of Zennor" by Michael Morpurgo; which is a children's novel that tells the story of a young boy who discovers a mysterious carving of a white horse in the church at Zennor. The carving is said to have magical powers, and the boy becomes obsessed with unraveling the mystery of its origin. Whilst we could not find a carving of a horse in the nearby St. Senara's church, it is home to the famous Mermaid of Zennor carving. The Tinners Arms next door had a great atmosphere and we enjoyed some delicious food. We also visited the ice cream shop, which was a perfect treat after a day of walking the south west coast path. We noticed that many of the other guests staying at The White House were also walking the coast path, so it seems like a popular place to stay for those exploring the area on foot. Overall, we had a fantastic stay at The White House, and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cornwall. The location, history, and local amenities make it an ideal base for exploring the beautiful and unspoilt far west of Cornwall."

The large outside space at the rear of the house is perfect with the addition of a small veranda which was needed with the typical English weather we had! All 3 bathrooms were fitted with lovely powerful showers and quality fittings. The new kitchen has everything you need and has a stunning views! We absolutely loved the house and were sad to leave after 10 nights despite not having the best of weather for summer! It was a 10 minute downhill walk to Porthminster beach which great, a little longer on the way back as there are a quite a few steps or you can do a longer less steep route back! Likewise a 10 minute walk to the harbour which has delightful restaurants, bars and shops. We booked a few restaurants in advance but were also able to walk into others. Communication from the owners Rosie and Simon, was excellent as was the welcome pack, we were also allowed an early check in which was very much appreciated after a very early start! 10/10 we all loved the house, thank you for sharing it!"

The space
Chalet is run by myself, and is ideal for short and longer stays. Suitable for summer h families, Characterful Kitchen was rebuilt by me, reusing materials, with scenic private woodland view, is well equipped to suit home cooking with herbs n spices, AEG and slow cooker, microwave, and sandwich toaster. There is plenty of room for you to put your own things, with washing machine n fridge w small freezer section.

Outside pick-nick table catches afternoon/evening sun.

Well behaved 6 years of age is lower age limit on children staying.

The comfy Antique Master bed is from the Kings Arms Pub in Paul, I have extended it so if you are tall you can still fit! With roomy wardrobe. Second bedroom has bunk beds with good mattresses, with bookcase and antique writing bureau, to suit a bit of holiday working. Spare bedding if you prefer sheets and blankets to duvets. In the living area one of the two sofas pulls out in front of the other to create a large double bed in front of the TV. There is a Readers Direct standard lamp (high spec. natural reading light). Generously sized drop leaf dining table, a wide selection of crockery, glasses and silver plate cutlery, functional, happy mix of retro and antique furniture and soft furnishings, loads of books. Outside bench with mini garden in front creating a relaxing sunny space.

Have good selection of maps/guidebooks good rainy day book.

Wetsuits can be hung up outside using black cast-iron hangers on brown supporting post of porch (plastic coat hangers behind front door).

I try to run chalet in echo friendly way, homegrown flowers and treats from my organic garden. Wash n air dry laundry, then hot press; have electric panels at home n use some echo friendly products.

Placed quietly on the edge of the John Fowler Holiday Village, in season (Covid permitting), you can enjoy the onsite facilities (£60 + VAT/chalet /week £30+VAT short break), heated pool (bookable at reception on arrival), waterslide, life guard, pool table, crazy golf, free wifi in bar, shop, laundrette and restaurant. Good bus services including open topped touring service.

Site is well placed to explore the South West of Cornwall.

View from kitchen overlooks picturesque woodland with immediate access to on site woodland walks (you have space to breath it is not crowded), leading to a long meadow with streamlined valley, upper waterfalls and woodland play area with large adult sized swing, zip wire and kiddies play area. There is a picnic bench in front of the chalet with a mini garden looking onto a shared grassed area, woodland and other chalets. Site is rich in wildlife, bunnies, birds, butterflies and moths etc.

Other things to note
Well behaved children of 6 Years of age is the lower age limit.

Choice of two paths to my chalet have a slope from the carpark, one is fully paved, about 100 ft long.

I have refurbished the chalet using mostly an eclectic mix of retro reused materials, all bedding, towels etc are provided, with throws and extra choice of bedding; all the pillows and cushions are feather/down. Beds have duvets but I have provided blankets and extra sheets if you prefer a sheet and blankets.

Extras: I normally provide a vase of flowers from my garden, if you would like the chalet to be brimming with home grown flowers please message me for more details. I grow my own organic veg/fresh herbs, and am happy to offer any surplus to my guests.

The Crib sleeps 2 (double bed) & is a comfortable open plan space to relax and enjoy your trip to St Ives. We are in a quiet residential area, just 12 minutes walk downhill to St Ives centre, its fabulous art galleries such as ‘The Tate St Ives’, the many independent shops, bars, restaurants & all of St Ives 5 stunning beaches. We are a 2 minute walk to the world famous ‘Leach Pottery’. The South West coast path & Penwith Moors, both areas of outstanding natural beauty are close by.

The space
The Crib sleeps 2, with a fabulous memory foam sprung double bed for a super comfortable and dreamy sleep, en suite, vaulted roof, sky light and stained glass window, conservatory with comfortable seating and dining area, large new smart TV, off road parking, independent WiFi hub, TV, fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, heated towel rail, radiator, first aid kit, clothes airer, outdoor clothes line, outdoor tap, iron & ironing board, hanging space, hair dryer, tea, coffee, milk and sugar on arrival We have recently added a separate kitchen sink area/luggage store room next to the Crib. You will have a pretty private courtyard at your disposal, which is well stocked with palm trees and flowers. This is a real sun trap where you can sit and enjoy the Cornish sunshine and comes with an outside tap to rinse Sandy toes. We ask that you do not smoke in the property or patio area, thank you. The Stable door can be open half/half so you can use this as a window. We provide a key safe to enable you to gain access to the property independently and at your convenience.

Guest access
You will have your own access via the pretty private patio. The Key safe allows you to access the keys to the Crib independently. We will provide the access code to this prior to your arrival. You can park on or across our drive at the back of the house, which is off road (on a private access lane to Garages). Please do not park in front of any garage doors as this prevents our neighbours from gaining access to them. Check in is from 2pm. Please depart no later than 10am.

Other things to note
Please note, if ordering a taxi from the Crib, let the taxi driver know that the Crib is at the very back of 39 Park an Creet and is accessed from Garth an Creet, via the access road to the garages, as they may not be familiar with the property location.

As the house numbers on our road do not run in order, it might be helpful to take note and print off the directions we have provided. We are easy to find if you follow our directions.

The parking space is suitable for a small to medium car. If you have a larger car, you can park across the driveway.

It’s a self contained one bedroom flat with a private bathroom on the ground floor of our home. There is a private outdoor patio with bistro table and chairs and free off road parking.

20 minute walk into the centre of St.Ives and 10 minute walk to the coastal path.

There is unlimited free WIFi and smart TV. The kitchen there is a double hob and everything else you’ll need.

At night enjoy a king size bed with super comfy Eve mattress.

The space
It’s a brand new space that has just been decorated with a focus on local vintage and contemporary items, but overall with a focus on being a friendly, comfortable and unique place to stay.

There is collection of books, maps and literature to help you make the most of your stay.

All kitchen must haves such as tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil and condiments are all provided. Washing up liquid, tea towels and dish clothes are all there too.

We also provide all cotton bedding, towels and essential toiletries. There is also a hair drier and an iron and ironing board is available on request.

All St Ives has to offer is within easy walking distance from the apartment. This includes the Tate, The Leach Pottery, the Barbara Hepworth Museum, five fabulous beaches and numerous great restaurants.

Our local Co Op store is about a ten minute walk and is open 07:00 - 23:00hrs.

The apartment is a totally safe, private and self contained space with access to a private patio for you to use. There’s a lockable front door to the apartment and within there is an open plan lounge and kitchen diner, a double bedroom leading to an en-suite bathroom with shower.

Come & relax on the Funny Farm. My old bus has been converted to provide basic, fun, affordable, camping accommodation on our farm, located just outside St Ives in the beautiful Cornish Countryside. Free disposable BBQ & firewood for your camp fires. Everything supplied for a memorable camping holiday. Free Parking. My campervan is located in a secluded area on the farm next to the ponies. We also have rescued sheep & pigs. Amazing views and sunrises.

The space
Cosy & comfortable campervan with fantastic views. Outside seating & firepit. (A short walk away) Located in the field overlooking the stunning Cornish Countryside and our pig, sheep & pony paddocks. The views are fantastic as are the sunrises. Our campervan has a comfy king size bed. (Linen included) A firepit, with first bag of wood supplied & a disposable BBQ if required. Electricity sockets for recharging phones etc are located in the kitchen area. This is camping on our Funny Farm without the frills, but with all the fun of the outdoors, nearby beaches & the animals. Not forgetting the BBQ's, camp fires and nights snuggled up watching the stars and looking & listening to the wildlife. Everything you need to camp is provided in the van but we also have a shared field kitchen. There is a microwave. fridge, gas hob, electric kettle & toaster available in the shared field kitchen. The main flushing toilet & hot water shower is 100m away. There is also a separate outside hot shower. If you are looking for a good value, fun holiday then this is the one for you. There is no electric in the campervan (A torch is supplied) but there are places available to recharge phones etc. Wifi is available by the farmhouse. 4G reception is very good.

We are a 5 minute drive from St Ives and Carbis Bay. Alternatively a scenic 30 minute walk will take you to St Ives along the lanes & coastal path. Tesco's is a 5 minute drive away or a 15 minute walk. Local taxis are very reasonable. The nearest bus & train stations are St Ives or St Erth. ( If arriving by public transport I am happy to pick you up if I am around. Advance notice required) Parking is safe & secure on the farm and is free.

Please be aware that we have animals and this is not a place for people with allergies or a fear of animals. If you wish to help with the animals please remember to bring your wellies. NO DOGS OR PETS ALLOWED.
We are easy going & relaxed and expect our guests to be respectful of our farm. We welcome quiet singles & couples. We do not provide towels so please remember to bring your own. Check in is after 2pm to 10pm at the latest and checkout is at 10am.

'The Rest' is a light and airy cottage apartment, situated on the brow of a hill with views towards Porthminster Beach. We have recently renovated the kitchen and shower room and redecorated throughout and it is comfortably furnished for two people. It is located one minute's walk from the harbour front and town centre, and a three minute's stroll to the surfing beach of Porthmeor.

The history of the Den@27 is revealed by the pilchard bar once used by the fishermen of St.Ives. Now converted into a stylish en suite room with its own entrance, just a few steps away from the heart of this vibrant town. Stunning Beaches, stylish restaurants, independent shops and art galleries are all on your doorstep, yet the location, on a cobbled path, is very peaceful.

The space
A converted fish cellar with its own entrance. The space is small but perfectly formed! The daybed can be set up as two singles or together to make a super king bed ( duvets are single) There is a chest of drawers, wardrobe and plenty of under bed storage.

Wi-Fi, kettle, fridge, microwave, cutlery and crockery, selection of hot drinks, plus a small selection of games and books. Beach towels and body boards are available.

January 2025 : I have added a Tv that runs off broadband. You can log into your steaming apps. There is also a speaker that uses Bluetooth for streaming. The Wi-Fi has excellent signal in the Den :)

Access to the Den@27 is via steps ( 9 steps with handrail) into the courtyard ( located between 23 & 25 on Virgin Street)

Please note St Ives is full of cobbled streets. Walking from the train station is easy but can be challenging with a wheeled suitcase.! If you have a large case you can order a local taxi to St Ives Bakery or the top of steps at Virgin Street, off Barnoon and just walk the last 50 yards :)

During your stay
I live in the old fisherman’s cottage, accessed off the courtyard or from the main path. I have a small dog who will be sharing the courtyard- he loves visitors :)

Other things to note
The Den@27 is located next door to my home and is underneath no.29 which is a busy holiday let.

There is a stable door which lets light into the room and a window in the bathroom. I do have a dehumidifier running in the room in order to keep the air fresh and flowing.
