Villa Il Casolare is a complex of 350 m2. It was built in the 18th century and it dominates the hills of Tuscany. Veranda: attached to the barn, it is a lovely porch with wide arches and offers a breath taking view of the surrounding hills. It is equipped with a large dining table to enjoy fantastic outdoor dining moments.

Swimming pool
It is nestled a few steps away from the house. The pool measures 14 x 7 m. The surrounding solarium is built from handmade bricks typical of the region. It is completed with sun beds, beach chairs, chairs, and umbrellas.

- "Nice villa in a great location " - "The villa was as historic as it gets. The views from the backyard were amazing. There was plenty of room for our family holiday of 8 adults. Everyone had their own space and bathrooms were plentiful. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with plates, pots, pans and glassware for all. Communication with the manager of the property was A plus and they even helped us coordinate an amazing birthday dinner on property. On the downside, the property needs a lot of deferred maintenance. We were there during rain storms and three of the rooms and bathrooms had large leaks which made everything in those rooms wet. Also, the humidity was off the charts which did not allow us to wash and dry clothes because nothing can dry in those damp environments. Additionally, it seems the house must have been left open because there were bugs all over inside when we arrived (and we’re from Florida so we know bugs). Also, the weather did not provide much opportunity to enjoy the outdoor spaces and the mosquitoes were off the charts bad. The location was also quite challenging to find so following the written instructions was essential with a minimum 25 - 30 minute drive to most locations of interest. All in all, we had a lovely time together and enjoyed Tuscany as a whole. There is so much beauty. "

- "A very nice an quiet place. From the Casa Cipressi quite a lot of nice places can be visited within a one hours drive. As it was already warm for this time of the year, the trees and den surrounding offered fresh air. The pool is well located and has a good cleaning system." - "We had a lovely time at Casa Cipressi. As you would expect from a rural property there was lots of wildlife- including 3 types of ants (make sure you keep food covered), lizards and frogs. The property is located at the ground floor of an ancient palace dating back to 1300s in the main square of the Chianti village of Marcialla. The apartment is on two floors. On the main floor the kitchen, the dining and living, a bedrooms with private patio and full bathroom. On the lower floor by the garden and pool there are 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom. The garden is accessible from both bedrooms through French windows and it features a kitchenette by the outdoor dining area. An hayloft with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom is accessible from garden and from the hall of the building. Air conditioning, WIFI, washer and clothes dryer, a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, toaster, American coffee maker, Nespresso machine, oven and a wide selection of cooking utensils and appliances is not missing.

A baby cot is available (free of charge), on request. Please advise us if you will need it.



Please kindly note that the use of the Jacuzzi Pool is not allowed during the night. We recommend a proper use of the whirlpool, according the internal regulation that you will be requested to accept and sign on arrival.

Chianti is one of the most beautiful and well-known areas of Tuscany. You will be surrounded by rolling hills and perched villages typical of the area between Florence and Siena, therefore we advise you to have a car available. FIRST FLOOR:
- 4 double rooms each with its own large bathroom (some bathroom with shower and some with shower and bathtub). All rooms are equipped with large double beds, LED TV, wardrobes, air conditioning, chairs or armchairs and characteristic wooden furniture. (3 of these rooms are also equipped with comfortable sofa beds)

The structure in subdivided into 3 apartments, (there is no internal access between apartments) which come rented to one single party as a single rental villa. The largest apartment holds a dining room large enough for 8 guests to dine together.
The owners (who are very friendly but not intrusive) manage a family agricultural business from the same location and live a few meters away but do not share any of the outdoor areas with the guests – they do reserve access to a passage which runs below the largest apartment for use only when truly necessary. They will be available should guests require help or advice for what to visit and where to go to enjoy the best of Tuscany.
The property available for rent and the property where the owners live are separated by a border of flowers which gives the guests the most privacy possible.

Everything was clean and the outdoor seating areas were lovely. The very friendly owners live across the yard and are very kind and helpful. You have your own gateway with a remote control. The pool is very big and clean and is located a few steps below the house with a small garden gate, which is perfect if you travel with little children. The Next supermarket is in Certaldo about 15 Minutes away and there is a lovely Restaurant in Sciano 2 min away with a really good price-perfomance ratio. This was one of the best stays we ever had in Tuscany!"

The interior of the villa was beautifully appointed. Kitchen is huge with everything you need to cook a feast. We ate dinner on the terrace overlooking the valley every evening. Again, the view is breathtaking. Beds were very comfortable and everyone had their own bathroom with fresh towels and bathrobes which was a nice touch. Cinzia was such a gracious host. She recommended various restaurants and things to do and even loaned us a Bluetooth speaker to use during our stay when we forgot ours at home. The owners (who are very friendly but not intrusive) manage a family agricultural business from the same location and live a few meters away but do not share any of the outdoor areas with the guests – they do reserve access to a passage which runs below the largest apartment for use only when truly necessary. They will be available should guests require help or advice for what to visit and where to go to enjoy the best of Tuscany.

We also learned that the grounds were created, the villa was built, and many of the furnishings were made by (or for), Silvio's grandfather. The grounds are, and villa is, beautiful. And it also explained why they have kept some of the "well loved" furniture, but it met our needs. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would stay again. One thing to know - there is an apartment in the lower level. We had the entire upper level as it is the main living area. Each area has its own entrance, and we never heard the other guests. If you're looking for a unique experience, beautiful grounds, a working vineyard and olive groves, pomegranate trees, amazing views, and hosts who went very much above and beyond, this is one such place.
