Villa Casablanca is located on a hillside on it’s own plot raised and surrounded among pine trees overlooking the Albufera National

Park and only minutes away from the unspoiled sand dune "El Dosel" beach popular with wind/kite surfers known as one of the last untouched beauties with crystal clear waters along the Spanish coastline.

Due to it’s position the property is raised above the street level with quite a few steps leading up to the entrance as can be appreciated on the photos. There is a street parking in front of the Villa.

The Villa centres on a large open plan double height living area wrapped on two sides by six meters of glass front that lets the natural light into the heart of the house creating a seamless outdoor/indoor environment between the living room and the large wood-decked terrace centred around the pool. An adjoining indoor dining area and open plan kitchen/breakfast area tempts one never to leave the poolside, day or night. The surrounding pine trees lend the house a sense of privacy, seclusion and exclusivity.

The house can comfortably sleep six with accommodation split over the air-conditioned master bedroom with ensuite shower/bathroom and 2 twin bedrooms that share a bathroom. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and A/C except the bedroom with two single beds which is equipped with an air-fan. There is a laundry room with washing machine,ironing table

and a small terrace to dry your washing.

A car is essential really, especially for trips to the supermarket. There is a huge Carrefour about 10 mins away and is really well stocked. In the evening we relied upon a wonderful taxi company recommended by Ivan. They were so kind and helpful. Many thanks to Antonio and his team for fetching and carrying us every day and looking after us like family. The villa itself is airy and spacious. The bedrooms all have air conditioning and the whole place is tastefully furnished. The pool area is breathtaking and the views are the best in the area. The pool is saline not chemical and so much healthier for your skin. There are lots of beautiful restaurants within a short drive and the beaches are spotlessly clean and very safe for children with a gently shelving warm sea. This area of Spain is very traditional, not much English is spoken so in the restaurants you may not have an English menu. However, we found that this just improved our Spanish! Everyone is so warm and friendly and welcoming. We felt like family everywhere we went. We will definitely be returning."

The pool is a great size and was cleaned twice whilst we were there. Kitchen is well equipped. We did have a problem with the AC on the top floors at the start but Mark got this fixed quickly. The electrics tripped out when too many appliances were on but I guess this is a local problem, not a house problem. We all loved our stay at Mark's place and would recommend it. Ideal for any time of year, in warm weather you have the choice of several beaches (7-15 minutes drive), the communal pool or one of the terraces with stunning views.
In cold weather, the pool is completely covered and you can enjoy the sauna or the warmth of the fireplace in the living room.
The house is spread over three floors. In the day area, which is located on the floor with direct access from the street, you have a spacious living-dining room with a fireplace, a separate kitchen, a guest WC and a balcony-terrace with electric awnings. In the night area, which is located on the lower floor, you will find three bedrooms with double beds and fitted wardrobes, one of them with an en-suite bathroom, and another bathroom for the other two bedrooms.

The house, which is completely at your disposal, is located in a private complex of several houses with common areas, including a children's pool, an adult pool (covered with a glass roof in winter and partially open in summer), a jacuzzi, a sauna, a ping-pong table, some sunbeds, tables and chairs.
The pool is about 12 metres long and 6 metres wide. Although the pool is covered in winter, it is NOT heated. The jacuzzi is also not heated and, like the sauna, only works in winter. These communal areas are about 200 metres from the house.
The house is located in a very quiet residential neighbourhood on a hill. It is therefore essential to have a car to reach the various beaches, supermarkets, restaurants, shops and entertainment venues as there is no public transport in this area.
However, there is a new restaurant & chillout bar with beautiful views called Cientochenta, which can be reached on foot from the house.
You can walk to the beach, it takes 15-20 minutes but there are many stairs.
There is parking on the beaches. There are several supermarkets within a 5-15 min drive.
Both the airport and the city of Valencia are about 45-50 mins away.

We did not rent a car and knew prior to booking this place that we would have to walk approximately 15 minutes up and down stairs and hills to get to restaurants, beaches and grocery stores. We love to walk and enjoyed this aspect very much. I suggest that you rent a car if you are not prepared to walk longer hilly distances. Overall, we had a great experience and would love to come back some day soon! "

- "This lovely villa in a fabulous location is let down by the poor maintenance and inadequate supplies. Several light bulbs need replacing; the aircon units are extremely dusty, blowing detritus into the room when first turned on; flush on downstairs loo doesn't always shut off and we had to buy a knife sharpener to get useable knives. Plus this is the first time we've arrived at a self-catering property – and we've done lots – with no supplies in the kitchen; nada: no condiments, no welcome tea/coffee/milk, absolutely nothing. Luckily we had half-an-hour before the supermarket closed for 36 hours. Appalling service!"
