Our home, long enjoyed by family and friends, has welcomed Vrbo and HomeAway guests since 2015. Every detail—from our personal touches to the carefully chosen furnishings—creates a sense of belonging. Guests often tell us they feel less like visitors and more like residents of Monterosso.

Perched on a rock in the heart of the bay, the house sits just five meters from the sea. Fully renovated in 2012 and further updated in 2023 with new windows and doors, it offers comfort and efficiency through air conditioning, heating, and reliable Wi-Fi.

Inside, a spacious living room and a cozy double bedroom open directly onto a sea-facing terrace. This outdoor area includes a dining table, chairs, an outdoor shower, and a private staircase leading straight to the water. Please note: due to its height, the terrace is not suitable for children.

The property also includes a second bedroom with a large bunk bed, two bathrooms (one with shower), and a fully equipped kitchen for cooking enthusiasts. Each room has generous storage, a desk, and seating.

Immersed in the typical countryside of 'Ligurian hinterland you'll find yourself in an oasis of relaxation, silence and privacy despite being only a few kilometers from the famous and crowded Cinque Terre or the city of La Spezia.
The recently renovated house is spread over two floors, connected by a spiral staircase, covering an area of about 75 square meters. If you are lucky enough to find this place available don't hesitate (but just be warned about the steep walk up - but it is so worth it though). The property is at the very top of everything hence the incredible views it has, it is totally unique and while the photos are good you need to see it for yourself to appreciate it. The villa is on two floors; the ground floor has a spacious living room with sofas and chairs and a television with satellite tv. The living room opens up to the amazing seaview terrace that is comfortably equipped with fine luxurious outdoor furnishings to enjoy the terrace at it's most. On this floor there is also a fully equipped kitchen, a double bedroom with ceiling fan (no A.C.) and a bathroom with shower which all also have access to the amazing terrace.

The first floor is composed of four bedrooms, of which two have king size beds and the others two have two singles beds (90cm x 200cm each ) that can be convertible into king bed. On this floor there are also two nice spacious bathrooms of which one has a shower and the other has bathtub. On request you can have a crib for baby. All rooms have ceiling fans and A.C.
Children are welcome and they will find games, DVDs with film dedicated to children and a beautiful garden to play but should never miss the supervision of an adult for the many stairs on the property . Child supervision is a must.

The villa is situated 5 minutes by foot from the Arenella Beach and 5 minutes from the town center where there are restaurants, bars, a supermarket, pharmacy, ATM machine and the small harbor where boats leave frequently for the 5 Terre. The car is recommended but is not essential. The bus stop and taxi rank are close to the property.

Upon request you can have a porter service for luggage upon arrival and departure, or a delivery service for groceries from the supermarket with an extra cost to be agreed ahead of time.

In the house you'll find information for excursions to the 5 Terre, Tours in wineries, quarries of Carrara marble, boat trips with a chance to have lunch or dinner on board and many other details that will make your stay very pleasant.

The owner will welcome you upon your arrival and assist you in case of need for the duration of your stay.She provides a house book full of local information and activities and she is always available for any special request such as cooking courses at the villa , meals prepares at the villa and American guide specialized in the local Cinque Terre pathways , local museum, and tour to La Spezia city .

The owners are not responsible for personal accidents in the villa.

the City of Portovenere require a touristic tax of 2 € per day per person max 4 days which will be collected on arrival day and consigned to local authorities . A copy of your passport is also required at check-in .

The space
Built in the early 20th century, the villa has been lovingly restored with the help of the Tuscan architect Francesco Ridolfi. The villa is seamlessly updated for modern comforts with authentic, local flair.
The villa has its own entrance and it consists of two large villas connected by a balcony. The common areas consist of a large living room, a dining room, a separate kitchen overlooking the sea.
There are 4 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and ample storage space and wardrobes in each room. It can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people in its romantic and charming atmosphere. All rooms have sea view.
Stairs will lead you through to the infinity pool (with trampoline), offering also a dining space, a gazebo bar and hot shower.

If you are into jogging there are many paths, for example the one from Lerici to San Terenzo Castle (2 km) and the natural reserve of Montemarcello.

- "We had a very enjoyable stay. The house is charmingly decorated, the beds are very comfortable and the linens were of a high quality. The kids enjoyed the pool and we all appreciated just being 7 mins away from the main square and 10 mins from the supermarket. Sarzana is quite a pretty little place and close to beaches and the Cinque Terre. One of the bedrooms has a/c which was very appreciated by the children , two of whom had difficulty sleeping in the heat. The kitchen is small and only two rings on the stove were working when we stayed. Not too much of a problem for us as we are out most evenings. The WiFi was just OK but this may be due to the fact the property had thick walls. Tomas, the owner was very kind and helpful, particularly when our daughter locked herself in her room. He has an apartment at the back of the property. This wasn’t a problem at all as our privacy was respected and it was useful to have someone help with the various issues we encountered during our stay."

The Villa is very conveniently located at 10 meters from the shore and few steps from the historical center and local restaurants, supermarkets.

Stella Di Mare is a 2 bedrooms, two bathroom villa with a fantastic view and a nice terrace overlooking the Channel of Porto Venere. The balcony, fully equipped with comfortable furniture offers a fantastic view on Palmaria island and it s particularly pleasing for breakfast outdoors or for sipping a good glass of local wine.
Upon entering we find the living room with sofa / TV, a dining table that seats up to six / eight people, a small kitchen fully equipped and a bathroom with shower. On your left there is a spiral staircase that allows access to the sleeping area of the first floor so arranged: 1 corridor with 1 single bed, 1 master bedroom with balcony and stunning sea view, 1 Twin room with 2 single beds, 1 bathroom with shower.
The owner, in addition to having an innate passion for the sea and oceans, was one of the Italian greatest collectors of seashells and this explains the marine style throughout the whole house.

- "This was a charming, quirky house where we quickly felt at home. We loved swimming four times a day and never tired of the amazing views. Portovenere is a charming, busy seaside town - no need to venture into the heaving CinqTerre: everything's right there. The road between the house and the beach gets busy and the beach right across from the house is private, expensive and booked up in advance. No need to pay as there are good options nearby, including a place to swim just next to the private area right across the street. We liked swimming by the rocks on the other side of the harbour. A really beautiful place."

A delightful country villa for 8 people on a sunny hill close to the Cinque Terre with beautiful seaview of the entire Gulf of Poets.
Villa Ambrosia is located in a small hillside fraction of La Spezia that dominates the city and it's beautiful gulf. Surrounded by olive groves, this typical Ligurian farmhouse is the result of a two year restoration process where the owners have maintained all of the homes original features. During the restoration process they slowly discovered wood beams, stone walls and brick archways which had been covered by years of plaster and paint. These original features have now become one of the property's highlights along with it's beautiful views of the Poets Gulf from almost every window.

ACCOMMODATION

From the villas spacious terrace and manicured garden, guests may enter directly into the ground floor. Upon entering the ground floor to the left is a spacious living room that has two large sofas and a flat screen television with some satellite channels including BBC. Just beside the living room is the dining area which is furnished with an antique table and seats up to 8 guests. To the right of the dining room is the delightful country style kitchen which is fully equipped with a dishwasher, a professional gas stove top and electric oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and a small cellar.

From the dining room the staircase leads guests up to the first floor which can also be reached directly through the villas front door. The first floor is composed of two bedrooms and one bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a king size bed (1. 80 × 1.90 cm) and the second bedroom has two singles which can be made together upon request. From all of the beds there is a wonderful sea view. The spacious bathroom on this floor has a double vanity and a spacious shower. The second floor of the villa is composed of two bedrooms each with their own spacious ensuite bathrooms. The "master suite" is very large and has a king size bed from which guests can enjoy a beautiful sea view. The master suite's bathroom has a characteristic Victorian style tub with a hand held shower. From the fourth bedroom, guests will still enjoy a sea view from the king size bed and the ensuite bathroom has a double vanity and a spacious shower. Just outside the villas front door is the entrance to the separate laundry room which has been furnished with a large washing machine, a dryer, an ironing board / iron, a linen closet and an antique marble sink.

The owners have used many precious antiques along with high quality materials like oak floors, travertine, and handmade tiles to create a comfortable country atmosphere with all of today's modern comforts. The villa has wireless internet throughout. There is also an herb garden for those who enjoy cooking and cooking classes can be arranged directly at the villa upon request.

LOCATION

Just beside the villa, is an antique pathway, that either leads down to La Spezia or farther up the hills with different points of interest such as the cave of Bocca Lupara. For the more adventurous, the pathway leads as far as the panoramic pathway no. 1 of the Cinque Terre where one may choose to go left towards Portovenere or right towards the villages of the Cinque Terre… a long hike! The Colle del Telegrafo (point of departure for the CinqueTerre pathways) can also be reached by car in about 10 minutes from the villa.

The actual towns of the Cinque Terre may be reached from the villa either by car, by ferry, or by train. The train station in La Spezia is only a five minute drive from the villa and trains depart almost every hour for the Cinque Terre. The ferry dock is also only about 10 minutes from the villa and is probably the most panoramic alternative.

Although the Cinque Terre towns are better known, also the towns of Portovenere, Lerici, Fiascherino, and Montemarcello are all well worth visiting and all within 20-30 minutes by car from the villa. Lucca, Florence, and Pisa are also all feasible day trips.

The owner has been catering to foreign travelers for over 10 years and has an extra touch at acknowledging some of the seemingly small details that make a lot of difference when traveling away from home. She takes extra care in providing a house book full of local information and activities and is always available for any special requests such as cooking courses at the villa, meals prepared at the villa by a local cook, and an American tour guide specialized in the local Cinque Terre pathways, local museums, and art cities.

Air conditioner worked great and we were all nice and cool. We enjoyed different outside patio areas. Beautiful lemon trees outside and kids loved catching lizards. One thing to note is the stairs are no joke. It was fine for most of us but difficult for my healthy and fit in laws in their seventies. I personally loved the location of the place because it felt as more of an authentic experience. We didn’t have a car but the place is very close to the train station and buses. Loved going to San Tarenso beach (by bus) and shopping most of our mornings at the market (walking distance). I highly recommend Villa Bruna."
