The property directly overlooking tha bay of Fiascherino in Tellaro, in the extraordinary Gulf of Poets, is located in a large garden in direct contact with the cliff and the sea in a stretch not open to the public, with a private rocky beach with sea beds reserved for guests.
The garden is almost entirely a lawn with bushes, tall trees and precious essences of short stature. The garden is also crossed by several paths and shorts stone steps, and is open on all sides the view of the sea below and the magic skyline with the islands of Palmaria e Tino, and the superb village of Portovenere.

The space
Built in the early 20th century, the villa has been lovingly restored with the help of the Tuscan architect Francesco Ridolfi. The villa is seamlessly updated for modern comforts with authentic, local flair.
The villa has its own entrance and it consists of two large villas connected by a balcony. The common areas consist of a large living room, a dining room, a separate kitchen overlooking the sea.
There are 4 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and ample storage space and wardrobes in each room. It can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people in its romantic and charming atmosphere. All rooms have sea view.
Stairs will lead you through to the infinity pool (with trampoline), offering also a dining space, a gazebo bar and hot shower.
Equipment
The kitchen comes with all appliances (fridge, microwave, dishwasher) and there is also a wood fire oven in one of the gardens.

The access to the pool is open from mid-May to mid-September. The secluded, romantic beach of Caletta can be reached by a path (4 'walking) directly from the property. It is recommended to take the inflatable mattress and explore the Caletta bay and the other 2 small beaches.

Exploring the area
From the Villa you can easily reach the center of Lerici in 5 minutes walking, in front of the house entrance. Lerici offers many restaurants, an old harbor and a beautiful promenade by the sea. Ferries departing from Lerici will take you to Cinque Terre, Portovenere, Palmaria Island and other day trips. If you are into jogging there are many paths, for example the one from Lerici to San Terenzo Castle (2 km) and the natural reserve of Montemarcello.
From the harbor to Lerici you can rent boats and cycles.

Villa Maralunga is an exclusive independent villa located just above one of the most prestigious alcoves of the Poet's Gulf. Perched above the cobalt blue sea, in an only pedestrian zone and surrounded by private gates, Villa Maralunga offers complete privacy,peace and tranquillity. Guests will only hear the waves hitting the rocks below while gazing at the sunset by the poolside and enjoying the view of Portovenere in the distance. Life cannot get much better!

Villa Maralunga has it's own private parking garage which is located just about 200 yards away from the villa's front gate. From the garage guests must go up one flight of stairs (circa 50 stairs) and down a small gravel pathway to reach the villa's entry. Upon entering the gate there is short staircase leading guests down to the garden and into the living room area. The living room area has a nice relaxing area with 2 comfortable sofas and large glass doors overlooking one of the many terraces that the villa has to offer. Just off the living room is the modern well equipped kitchen with an electric oven,microwave,espresso maker, and dishwasher.

The kitchen leads out to another panoramic terrace which has a lovely shaded patio area for dining outdoors along with an outdoor preparation area perfect for summer dinners al frescoe while enjoying the views. This area also overlooks the poolside. The pool is only 2 mtsx 5 but is just perfect for a quick dip to cool off on the hot summer days and is lined with an elegant travertine marble.

Down one level, is the bedroom area where there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom has two single beds which can be made together upon request. The third bedroom has a queen size bed and these two bedrooms share a bathroom located in the hallway which has a small bathtub with a handheld shower and a washing machine. All of the three bedrooms have direct access to the outdoor garden area and air conditioning. In the summer months, there is also access to an extra bedroom which is completely independent. This bedroom has a queen size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower. This bedroom has fan and not AC.

Villa Maralunga has been professionally decorated in a modern marine style and every detail has been taken into consideration to create a comfortable yet exclusive and relaxing atmosphere with just the right touches. Travertine marble and oak wood have been used throughout.

From Villa Maralunga, guests can walk to the closest beaches which are 5 minutes by foot and are amongst the most beautiful alcoves in the area. By car popular touristic spots like the CinqueTerre,Lerici,Forte dei marmi,Portovenere and Portofino are all easily within reach although guests will probably just want to stay home and enjoy the villa and it's surroundings.

Note:
If you are traveling with children, please note that the owner recommends before booking please consider that due to the property's terraced land, swimming pool and many balconies this may not be the best property for a relaxing vacation. Children, especially under the age of 8 can never be left unattended.

We had a tour of the villa and she even provided some refreshments for breakfast. The villa is clean and spacious. The pool is small but big enough to cool down after sunbaking. The view from the rooftop terrace is incredible for both sunrise and sunset. During the day you can see multiple coves, the town of Lerici, and back to the busy city of La Spezia. It is a short walk down to Lerici town square (10 mins max). There are many excellent restaurants and cafes, so you are spoilt for choice. We had such an incredible trip in Lerici and I couldn't recommend this villa more."
