It is incredible, I'd happily sit for ages just watching the boats. If you are lucky enough to find this place available don't hesitate (but just be warned about the steep walk up - but it is so worth it though). The property is at the very top of everything hence the incredible views it has, it is totally unique and while the photos are good you need to see it for yourself to appreciate it. - "My family of four (includes two middle school aged children) had an incredible time in Portovenere. The flat is within walking distance of all of the shops and restaurants but far enough away that you can appreciate the quiet and breathtaking views. The beach is literally across the street which was really convenient. We spent most of our day away from the apartment, but it had all the amenities you would need. The second shower is actually not in the flat but up on the second veranda (yes, there are two balconies) but we actually liked using it as it still felt private and was more spacious. The hosts were responsive to any questions and made check-in and out very easy. The flat is on the smaller side but if the weather is right, you will want to spend most of your time on the veranda taking in the amazing views or out and about enjoying the city. There are also a lot of steps to get up to the flat so depending on age of kids or and any issues with stairs, just know there are quite a few steps to manage. Great experience overall."

It is one of the finest properties in Portovenere. Immersed in the typical green of the Liguria region and directly overlooking the sea. The villa enjoys an uninterrupted sea view of the Gulf of Poets. From the magnificent terrace and from four of the fifth bedrooms you can enjoy an unforgettable sea view.

Upon arrival at the villa guests will find two private parking spaces where they can leave their cars (a rare find in Portovenere as parking can often be an issue). From the parking area to reach the villa there are four flights of stairs with a railing which can be seen in the photographs of the villa. The villa is not adapt for guests with any sort of disability to climb the stairs .

The villa is on two floors; the ground floor has a spacious living room with sofas and chairs and a television with satellite tv. The living room opens up to the amazing seaview terrace that is comfortably equipped with fine luxurious outdoor furnishings to enjoy the terrace at it's most. On this floor there is also a fully equipped kitchen, a double bedroom with ceiling fan (no A.C.) and a bathroom with shower which all also have access to the amazing terrace.

The first floor is composed of four bedrooms, of which two have king size beds and the others two have two singles beds (90cm x 200cm each ) that can be convertible into king bed. On this floor there are also two nice spacious bathrooms of which one has a shower and the other has bathtub. On request you can have a crib for baby. All rooms have ceiling fans and A.C.
Children are welcome and they will find games, DVDs with film dedicated to children and a beautiful garden to play but should never miss the supervision of an adult for the many stairs on the property . Child supervision is a must.

The villa is situated 5 minutes by foot from the Arenella Beach and 5 minutes from the town center where there are restaurants, bars, a supermarket, pharmacy, ATM machine and the small harbor where boats leave frequently for the 5 Terre. The car is recommended but is not essential. The bus stop and taxi rank are close to the property.

Upon request you can have a porter service for luggage upon arrival and departure, or a delivery service for groceries from the supermarket with an extra cost to be agreed ahead of time.

In the house you'll find information for excursions to the 5 Terre, Tours in wineries, quarries of Carrara marble, boat trips with a chance to have lunch or dinner on board and many other details that will make your stay very pleasant.

Located in the prestigeous fisherman's village of Porto Venere (just listed by New York Times as one of the top 45 most beautiful places to visit on earth and one of the UNESCO world heritage sites), not to mention one of the most beautiful and romantic villages of the Italian Riviera, Stella Di Mare is the perfect hub for visiting the Cinque Terre by boat. The Villa is very conveniently located at 10 meters from the shore and few steps from the historical center and local restaurants, supermarkets.

Stella Di Mare is a 2 bedrooms, two bathroom villa with a fantastic view and a nice terrace overlooking the Channel of Porto Venere. The balcony, fully equipped with comfortable furniture offers a fantastic view on Palmaria island and it s particularly pleasing for breakfast outdoors or for sipping a good glass of local wine.
Upon entering we find the living room with sofa / TV, a dining table that seats up to six / eight people, a small kitchen fully equipped and a bathroom with shower. On your left there is a spiral staircase that allows access to the sleeping area of the first floor so arranged: 1 corridor with 1 single bed, 1 master bedroom with balcony and stunning sea view, 1 Twin room with 2 single beds, 1 bathroom with shower.
The owner, in addition to having an innate passion for the sea and oceans, was one of the Italian greatest collectors of seashells and this explains the marine style throughout the whole house.
This property is the perfect set up for two couples or for a family. Private parking for one car is at disposal of the guests.
For those wishing to visit the area without a car there is a taxi service or a bus stop at the train station in La Spezia. A driver is available at extra cost for those wishing to be picked up at the airport or upon departure.

Portovenere is a charming, busy seaside town - no need to venture into the heaving CinqTerre: everything's right there. The road between the house and the beach gets busy and the beach right across from the house is private, expensive and booked up in advance. No need to pay as there are good options nearby, including a place to swim just next to the private area right across the street. We liked swimming by the rocks on the other side of the harbour. On the right-hand side, the nighttime area features a single, triple, and double bedroom, along with a bathroom that incorporates a bathtub. Each bedroom is outfitted with air conditioning and ceiling fans, with the master double bedroom and the triple bedroom offering picturesque ocean views.

Please note that to reach the villa, you will have to climb an outdoor set of mostly uneven steps, which are part of a typical path among the olive groves.

There is no porter service, so pack light. The villa was designed by a famous Italian architect and built in the 1960s. Although some of the furnishings are not new, the villa remains modern and up-to-date.

Situated in Portovenre, inside the typical Liguria’s vegetation offering an amazing sea view from inside and outside of the property! The property is only 5 minutes by walking from the center of town, all services are present here, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, banks and post office. In Portovenere there is also a harbor where ferry leaves frequently to the Cinque Terre also a bus stop and taxi are reachable by walking, so car is not really necessary, however we recommend it to guest if wish to visit other destination since Tuscany is also very easy to reach in less than one hour guest can reach Forte de Marmi, Lucca, Pisa, in 2 hours Florence.

This villa is not adapted for people with any sort of disabilities or walking problems. As most properties own Liguria there are a lot of stairs and terraces involved. Children must always be supervised. Owners will not be responsible for injuries of any sort on the property premises.
Upon request you can have a porter service for luggage upon arrival and departure, or a delivery service for groceries from the supermarket with an extra cost to be agreed ahead of time

Upon arrival at the villa guests will find two private parking spaces where they can leave their cars (a rare find in Portovenere as parking can often be an issue). From the parking area to reach the villa there are four flights of stairs with a railing which can be seen in the photographs of the villa.

The villa develops in two floors on its ground there is a bright and large living room equipped with sofas and armchairs, Satellite TV, a direct access to one large terrace equipped with luxury garden furniture, perfect to enjoy al fresco meals admiring an amazing sea view. On the same floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen one double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The bedroom has direct access to the terrace.
On the first floor there are four bedrooms two are with double beds, one as a queen bed, and the fourth has two single beds which can be added to become a double. Two spacious bathrooms one with shower and one with tube. Every room has ceiling fan.
Children are welcome and they will find games, TV with channels dedicated to children's programs and a beautiful garden to play but should never miss the supervision of an adult for the many stairs on the property that may become a danger. Child supervision is a must.

From April-October ferries regularly depart for the Cinque Terre villages.

This is the perfect setup for two couples or a family. Parking is at disposal of the guests. For those wishing to visit the area without a car, a driver is available at extra cost for any demand including to be picked up at the airport or upon departure.

This former fisherman’s village (just listed by New York Times as one of the top 45 most beautiful places to visit on earth and one of the UNESCO world heritage sites), is considered one of the most beautiful and romantic villages in what is informally known as the ‘Italian Riviera!’

Porto Venere is also known as the end point of the Gulf of Poets, an area of outstanding beauty frequented by famous writers including Byron in his day.

Should you wish to venture further afield, from the ferry dock you can catch a ferry to Palmaria island with ferries leaving every 15 minutes during the summer. The crossing takes just 5 minutes and allows you the opportunity to view Portovenere from a different angle. Palmaria is home to an array of hiking trails, beaches and caves. A great place to snorkel, dive or just cool off with a relaxing swim, then enjoy a spot of lunch before heading back.

A visit to this region would be incomplete without a visit to the Cinque Terre. You can travel there by road (30km), by train from nearby La Spezia (11km) or by boat (April to October) from Portovenere. This stunning area consists of 5 idyllic fishing villages each with vineyards, olive groves, beautiful buildings and fantastic hikes, providing plenty of opportunity to take in the stunning views.

La Spezia is a great day out; take a stroll along the waterfront, discover historical landmarks such as the impressive 13th century San Giorgio Castle or learn about the town’s important naval heritage. From La Spezia you can take a train to Pisa, Lucca and beyond.

Popular with locals and tourists are Viareggio (26km) and Forte dei Marmi (36km). Forte dei Marmi is home to an array of vintage stores and Italian boutiques and, on Wednesdays and Sundays, an exclusive street market is held where you can soak up the atmosphere aplenty. Viareggio is known as the Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea. If you are visiting in the lead up to Easter, don’t miss the amazing street carnival the village is famous for with music, dancing and colourful floats. Watch the parade of floats down the streets and get into the festival-spirit!

Why not visit Lucca, a stunning walled city. Whilst the walls have now long lost their military importance, they have been maintained as a pedestrian promenade, effectively creating a park which surrounds the entire perimeter of the city. Why not hire a bike and cycle the perimeter or enjoy an ice cream from one of the many gellateria while you soak up the historical sites?

Pisa is also worth a visit. Take the obligatory shot, ‘propping up’ the leaning tower which has become so well-known over the years.

The villa is surrounded by a nice terrace paved with white and grey Carrara marbles and 1m. higher than the below garden which is characterized by centuries-old carob trees, palms, olive trees, myrtus, buxus and pittosforum.

The Space:
On the ground-floor the spacious living-room is furnished with antique and design pieces, pink and yellow sofas and an ancient Carrara marble chimney place. In the elegant dining-room 8 people may sit around the square English table. The large and beautiful kitchen is well equipped with all sort of appliances. From a passage, decorated with a nice tromp l’oeil, sweet memory of the family’s beloved dog “Tobia”, you get to a small bathroom and also to the beautiful marble stair which leads to the upper floor. From nearly all rooms it is possible to walk out on the wide terrace surrounding the villa and the numerous french windows enable to continuously admire the garden and the sea even from the inside.

On the first floor there are three bedrooms with antique furniture; 2 have en suite bathrooms with shower and 1 is adjacent with tub. Two of the bedrooms are separated by a charming boudoir where relaxing or reading. From the wardrobe area, there is a direct access to the rear terrace which leads to the laundry and the cottage.
